Nero vs Vergil - Cinematic Version

- I tried so many times to get the cinematic cut! Nero vs Vergil with some criteria; first devil trigger at THAT exact moment, taunt then dodge Judgement Cut End, use each grapple once, and finish with the midair grapple, spread soundtrack cues about the battle to hear as much of it as is reasonable, while trying if possible to match jumps and attacks to the beat, all with little to no damage.
Took about 20 tries to get Vergil to behave! You seem to have to do as little damage as possible to get him to JCE right after that first grapple, but when he does it, it's perfectly in time with the music!

How do you grab him when he's flying?
"You will accept my existence" is my 2nd favorite line from the game after "I'm not letting you die".
No special trick needed! It's just timing! Grab slightly earlier than your instinct tells you to. I think he accelerates as he comes towards you so it throws the timing off.

I did a first recording of this video in which that's what I did because I didn't know you could dodge it either. I saw someone do it in another video after uploading it and thought holy shit I have to re record this.
It's a very tight window to dodge but if you roll/ table flip at the instant Vergil disappears you won't take damage. You get like 5-10 frames where Vergil lunges forward as a warning. Take a closer look in this video for the timing and then try it yourself! :)

U should’ve did it on DMD but it’s still good
I agree that would've been more impressive but I'm not that good! And honestly I just wanted to use each of the cinematic grapples once. On DMD he has so much health that there would have likely been a lot of repetition. I preferred a shorter, cleaner fight for this, rather than a skill demonstration.
@@Genji_Glove I agree that DMD is not mandatory. That's a gameplay quirk, not a cinematic one. This version is fine.
Sad you're not on PC. Using slowmotion at some key moments, and turbo mode like at 1.2x, while playing on Son of Sparda should do the trick for a good cinematic edit of this fight.
That, 1080p or better, 2k, recording at 120fps and the final cut in 60fps to be able to add some post-effect slowmotion without hurting the fps rate, and HUD off.
But I guess you're on Playstation with this quality, kinda sad. Good job tho!

Ah! Do the grapple where you smash Vergil and his Doppelganger together!
The condition for it is he must be in DT and staggered. Then you DT and Buster him on the floor. Make sure you DT or you get the other grapple!
When you do this you'll immediately hear the music start gearing up for the chorus.
I have read all comments liked all comments and I like the gameplay I do infact suggest learning how to do the back to forward move to parry Vergil's dash attack thing it's very easy and usually parries vergil so you can get a few quick strikes on vergil even if you don't manage to parry vergil with it you still will rather manage the kind of parry that continues your attack but parries vergil and other enemies so you can continue a combo or you will not parry him and both you and vergil don't take any damage it's really easy to learn just do back to forward move only on ground when you see vergil teleports near you and starts that pose where he is going to charge at you I always do it it makes vergil easier to fight and makes it more cinematic than just jumping and it's really easy to just normally dodge the dash attack from vergil and if you want if he starts doing judgement cuts jump into the air then do the double jump then do the back to forward move in the air it allows good movement and keeps you in the air while vergil is trying to judgement cut you it also works if vergil does judgement cuts in the air I hope this helps and can make a more cinematic nero vs vergil fight I am probably around your level but I never beat the bloody palace please I need more power and then I will return to reclaim my power and then my power shall be absolute be motivated and get more power!
