My TV & internet went out the other night for about 20 - 30 mins. At first, I thought it was my router. My point is that, with no internet or TV, I thought I was gonna lose my mind. So, I feel for Frankie. That had to be the hardest night of his young life.🤣🤣🤣
Personally for me, my poor mother had to "SNEAK" me my first cell phone when I was in my 20's. They were still fairly new and the "it" thing then (other than ipods) but I had such a bad experience with teens and their cellphones in high school that I resolved myself to never own one. Once I hit college though, it was obvious that'd be hard. I was a bit stubborn though and used email for a while. But then later a birthday package came to me from home and SURPRISE... cellphone. Owning one makes perfect sense to me now but it's kinda funny my mom had to "force" my first one on me.
I love ur vids! I love the part where he turned around and yelled at the ground and said, "THEY TOOK MY PHONE" and u said, "u took my freedom and u don't hear me screaming."🤣🤣🤣🤣
All of this is true but remember how difficult it was for our grandparents explaining to our parents a day when tv didn't exist and our parents explaining to us how VCRs and walkmans weren't around 😊
Funny as always. It's wild of how us humans can't live without technology. We need it for jobs, workouts, communication, staying aware of current events, we need it for everything. It has gotten harder to take a break from it.
My favorite call collect use was an old 90's advertisement. An old couple, the phone rings. The man answers, then hangs up. His wife asks, "Who was that?" He answers, "It was Dan. He had a baby, it's a boy. But what was said was, Do you accept a collect call from Danhadababyitsaboy?
now I feel REALLY old. Cause I can remember when there weren't all that many houses in town that had a phone at all. And if yours was one of them, you KNEW that number. As well, I've used phones on a Party Line. Might be 3 or more houses all on the same phone line. Before you made a call you put the receiver to your ear to make sure someone wasn't already talking.

Probably, but that's not something to encourage, is it. I think showing kids HOW to become successful is more important, especially if it's doing something they love. Hand someone a fish, he eats for a day, teach them how to fish, they eat for a lifetime. Some people get so caught up in the competition they lose sight of who they are. Happiness begins with knowing yourself, not what everyone else thinks you should be, or do, or have. Just my experience from decades of doing and having what everyone expected instead of what I really wanted.
