I took classes during high school down at my school district building for Police Science. Turns out I pursued the career and now work in my county's sheriff's office as a Deputy and a Operator in our SWAT team. People think they understand what we do, but it's hard to understand. We don't know if we'll come home to our family, we don't know if we'll be injured in the line of duty, we know nothing what our patrol with hold for us. I was a friend with with one of the deputies I trained with; one day I was dispatched to a panic button activation by him.. when I arrived on scene he kept telling me: "I don't think I'm going to make it, tell my wife I love her." He was released from the hospital two weeks after and returned to the line of duty a couple of weeks ago. It's really amazing what you can learn and know from certain people within law enforcement.

When you told me about what he said I started crying I'm very empathic (to a point but there are exceptions where I'm not) I just can't imagine that and it really hurt even though I never knew him

I know some of you may be thinking, why is he making this just for us. I'm not writing it to say hello, I'm writing it to say thank you. Thank you for your service and for serving our community. I know some may disrespect you and call you meam names, but just know I'm with you. Dont give up, you'll retire after how ever many days and look back on your career. Being a police officer is risk taking. Officers signed up and worked hard to protect others and put their lives before others. Dear all rioters and protestors, it has become apparent that you are fighting for your rights. Nothing against that, but it needs to end and needs to end now. Before this gets out of control. Now, I know you probably wont listen to this but what happens if someone robs you. Your gonna call 911, what happens if all dispatchers retired because they didnt feel safe. Behind that badge is a heart, a family, and a great person. Just because they put that badge on every day to put their lives before others shouldnt give you one right to harm them. I wasn't familiar with this group until last year I don't know if I'd ever heard of them before. But it was a fallen officer from our area that he was brought back to be laid to rest (whose birthday would have been tomorrow) well after I watch the processional or several professionals they had in his hometown and the town he was buried next to his father. Something just struck according me more than the average that I've always had my respect for officers since I was a little girl. Always appreciated them being around. But I made a point to find a way to do more to help and show them how much we appreciate them. Came across a song again watching a horsemanship instructor doing routine with a young horse and this was one of the songs. It was this band the number of songs they use but I knew it sounded familiar and I couldn't remember why it's because I had seen it when I was looking for police tribute songs. Now I'm like addicted to the song it's just a beat and keeps you going. When I'm walking around I always like when it comes on which isn't very much cuz I just recently re-added it cuz I somehow I lost it before but my Bluetooth speaker so everyone can hear it. Hoping that officers maybe can hear it.

People are born regular every day and don’t seem to get very far with the rest of their life. but it’s the people who would step outside of their boundaries to achieve a goal, the people who care for others more than they care of their own selves, and people who know the risk but do it for you.
Those are the people who make it to the end and those are the people who will help you make it too.
