BRO! I am soooo glad that you decided NOT to record this in your room. Its a real hands on video - we see exactly what it is.. thank you for this!
Been living in USA for 5 years for my education but can't wait to visit my country . Missing Nepal so much.
It's 50 years since my first visit to Kathmandu. It was fascinating. Loved it so much. Been back to Nepal 4 times since. Beautiful memories. Kathmandu guest house or freak street were the places to stay. Marihuana was growing around the palace gates. Could have a hash cake made at any little corner shop. I've seen the changes over the years. Not all good.
When i see Nepal i automagically hit like and continue watching the video
Cool.

Loved the Harald Baldr moment, very progressive.
i was there in 1969.....it was wonderful...ending up walking out to swayambhunath and renting a room in a nepali farmhouse. the streets were like the middle ages without so many motorcycles, cell phones and modern stuff......very magical place and people

I visited Kathmandu a couple of years ago after wanting to go there my whole life. I was terribly disappointed, but due more to that dream of going there 30 years ago. When I think about Kathmandu now two years later, and watching your video I know I will be back there one day. It is a great place.
MXlarge I will never recommend anyone to go to Kathmandu, it’s so polluted but hope you enjoyed your travel tho:)
You are mostly welcome🇳🇵🇳🇵
Bodhi Utthan it’s all because it’s a lot populated now.. if you go to other places of Nepal where it’s less populated, it’s a lot beautiful there. Try visiting eastern cities, you’ll have fun ;) and also it’s worst in Kathmandu :(
liza bhattarai destiny 😂😂😂
@@bodhiutthan9507 100% agree, go to Kathmandu if you need to take care of anything and hit up the Monkey Temple etc, but move on quickly to Pokhara. Far better time in Pohkara.

Kathmandu has a lively vibe, it's pretty noisy and looks hectic but is chilled at the same time, the beautiful shrines, food corners, pretty shops and overall relaxed people, what I love is even just wandering around the streets for no reason is very fascinating, as a person who lived in Kathmandu for 10 years and is badly missing the noise and the crowd, I loved how this video captures the raw feeling of the streets and bazaar of Kathmandu. If only the construction work of roads, the huge mess of electric wires and the motorbikes could be managed, Kathmandu would be even more magical.
Birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama and Mahavira. Blessed place.
I feel that the huge mess of electric wires, motorbikes, and construction do add to the vibe somewhat. I love the chaos of wandering around a city like that.
This is so interesting! I live in Hawaii, travelled all over Europe but it is Kathmandu that I want to see the most. It looks so different from everything that I have seen! Can't wait for visiting Nepal.

Brings back my memories of being in Nepal in Nov. 2018....EBC trek. This was a dream of mine since 1971. Unfortunately on the 3rd day of the trek I had a very bad fall injuring my right wrist, arm and shoulder. It had MAJOR swelling. Got to Namche and took a helicopter to Lukla for a trip back to Kathmandu so I could go to the hospital. Nothing like have a life long dream come to a screeming halt . It was like I got kicked in the jaw. It hurts to this day that my dream came up short. Loved what I saw...very eye opening...so beautiful
Sad.
Hope you return back and achieve your dream in year 2020
@@sushantshiwakoti5578 I would love to go back..BUT...Im now retired and Im on a limited income...between the plane flights, hotel, food, guide and porter if used., tips and other expenses....it just to much for me now. At my age now Im afraid that my 2018 trip was my one shot at having my dream come true. My loss for sure.
😁 i'd have loved to show you around some cool places from lakes , waterfalls , high life , rafting on a very limited budget . Bad thing i left the country due to lack of opportunities 😪 for now.
Well you could try ABC or Annapurna circuit which is a budget tour 🙂
These late 2019 videos (of anyone's) are always fascinating to me, with their blissful normalcy that would soon be upended by an unnecessary pandemic. Practically nostalgic even.

Very interesting almost melancholy comment. How much the world has changed in not even 2 and a half years practically. I noticed some people wearing masks in the street scenes. But some people wore masks in Nepal for allergies or to protect from pollutants in the air. Little did they know it would soon become the norm.
That was very cool that you ran into Geraldo. He’s one of the best CZcamsrs out there, and his content is always the best

Glad that you recorded the streets! Was missing these street and crowd since long time.
Thanks Gabriel.
Kathmandu is one of the oldest/ ancient city at the foothill of Himalayas... It is also called the "City of Temples" - it is the melting point of Hinduism and Buddhism - both have been living side by side peacefully - influencing one another, since many centuries.
But it is very over-crowded now, & starting to lose its ancient charm.
True
