- We got a new car, the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV, and guess what, this car that on electricity ⚡⚡⚡
No more gas, no more gas stations!
After a week of ownership, it was time to take her for a longer road trip down to the cottage. Come with us as we figure out whether we can make it without stopping, or if we have to stop for our first ever public charging?
There might be more car related videos coming in the future as I'm nerding out HARD over our precious little EV 😊

Great trip! I've taken our Bolt EUV on two long journeys so far - one from our home in Central Ohio (USA) to Washington DC [400 mi/640km], and a second from home to Northwest Michigan [430mi/700km]. Multiple stops on the way but we've lucked out and haven't had any major issues with charging. Like you, I found the first time you set out it's hard to trust that you'll make it, but once you gain that experience it's all good. I need to make some road trip videos on my channel but haven't gotten around to it.
Maping the trip out with a better route planner takes away all the concerns. We planned out our trip with our EUV and are teardrop trailer and it told us where to charge and for how long. No worries about having enough battery.

thanks for sharing your experiences. I'm still looking at replacing my current chevy Volt, with this chevy Bolt.
Definitely recommend it. We exchanged our Volt for a Bolt and no regrets.

Premier without a sunroof?
Sunroof comes with the sun and sound package, which we didn't find necessary for the extra cost.

Tesla opened up their charging network for all manufacturers, haven't they?
ah sorry not yet: " The effort starts later this year with a pilot route between the capital city of Ottawa and Sudbury. There will be 750 opened stations by the end of 2025, and "at least" 350 of those will be speedy 250kW Superchargers."
Yeah I don’t expect that happening in the east coast here in a couple of years. There are third party adapters you can buy but I think I’ll wait until chevrolet comes out with their OEM adapter. I think they’re working on it anyways 🤷♂️
