Replacing a Faulty Float Valve for the Loft Cold Water Storage Tank

  • Unfortunately our tank is overflowing and needs fixing. First I try a larger float, which turns out to be ineffective. The actual float valve is the problem and I end up replacing that.

    For anyone that comes after, the ball is not the problem, never is (unless its cracked but the chances of you seeing that with a ball in situ is rarer than flying pigs), the problem is the limescale buildup on the peg that eventually comes loose and becomes grit that starts to ever so slowly wear away the hole

    Please don’t tell me your a plumber as I can’t believe what I have just watched. Not meant in a nasty way but that could have been fixed for about 10pence. Also the water pissing out everywhere lol. I’m just not keen on people putting vids online with info about how to fix things that are incorrect.
