- Hey guys! I just got in the Pandora Hearts Manga Box Set. Felt like I'd never get to own the manga, but Yen Press recently reissued it on their site. Excited to finally unbox and review this one on the channel, because it's definitely on of my favorite manga box sets in the collection now!

@@simonthedane9354 you could use those parcel forwarding services but I looked at the quote for it to come to Australia and it cost almost as much as the box set itself I think it was even more 😭
finally got mine last year from the Yen Press website, love the edition, the story is awesome too
i love jun mochizuki's art but apaprently all her manga series are ridiculously hard to find in english. i had to order vanitas in spanish bc it was in stock and luckily i know the language
I also love her art and really enjoy her character designs! I have noticed that her works are harder to find recently. Was quite a journey trying to track down Pandora Hearts until Yen Press restocked the box set. After the anime aired for The Case Study of Vanitas, the volumes started going out of stock even more too.
Awesome that you were able to order the series in Spanish! I am currently learning Japanese so that I can hopefully do the same for series that are harder to find or haven't been released with English translation yet.

I just finished collecting the entire series in english - in the individual volumes!! Was a real pain since I live in Sweden and had to order a few volumes from overseas (and many places, like Yen Press, don't ship outside US and Canada)... 😅 Also, since I ordered a lot of them from overseas they are bent in a few places and unfortunately one of the volumes has the over completely bent, and it's no longer available anywhere without spending a ridicultous amount of money!😭and imo I already spend WAY MORE than I should have on this manga series 😅 oh well, at least I get to read them all! 😍

I was contemplating on getting rid of mine, but the tike and effort of collecting them over the years makes me want to just hold onto them. Especially seen as the cacus race books were a real challenge to find. Plus I think I'll keep my art books too, got rid of one once and gad to rebuy it again.
My box set just arrived. I can't wait to start reading it.

I first started reading Pandora Hearts around 7 years ago however I kept dropping it as I found it too confusing ((I was only 12)). But I picked it up recently since my I had almost the full box set as it was a gift when I was younger. I caught up to volume 23 and oh- no volume 24. The cheapest selling volume in English I have found is £50. When I was first gifted the box set they hadn’t released the final volume in Englush yet but when I finally started reading it again they were out of print. I don’t recommend getting the individual paper back unless you can read Spanish, French or German as those seem to be the most accessible.
Thinking about buying this special box set simply because it was one of the first manga I (attempted) to read and I love the art style. I would also rather not give money to the people selling the final volume and hellish prices just because they aren’t printed - not allowing people to finish the story.
I own the original single volumes but I really like this box set. They are so beautiful. And that box is gorgeous! I want it 🙃

I own the first volume of pandora hearts and the double page panels are not clearly seen (like the middle half is under the binding wich cannot be opened)
Is it normal or is it just my volume??

Hey, of course and thank you as well!! I ordered it right when it was announced, so it was about 3 weeks before it shipped out if I remember correctly. Since it was a preorder when I ordered it, I'd expect their shipping times to be quicker now that it's released! Hope that helps!
Sadly this doesn't ship to Germany ;_; but it's such a wonderful box set. I haven't seen anything similar for a manga... so beautiful! ♥
Excellent overview! This box set is really nice, it's sort of weird how YP suddenly restocked it, I wonder if their license for the series is expiring like it did for Soul Eater or something. 🤔
I've been reading The Case Study of Vanitas for a few years now and I really love this mangaka's art style and story telling. The anime was a very spot on adaptation of the manga, so I'm also looking forward to season 2, since it's gonna cover some really cool chapters.
I did read a bit of Pandora Hearts years ago then I kinda just suddenly stopped for no reason. Then I tried to pick it up again and here I am still procrastinating on actually sitting down and reading the entire series. I really enjoyed what I read of the manga so far so it's definitely a goal of mine to read the whole manga next year. The anime adaptation for Pandora Hearts is pretty decent too, the OST stood out quite a lot to me.
I am collecting the Vanitas manga and I'd love to eventually own Pandora Hearts as well. Hopefully they re-release it in Japan with a kanzenban edition or something since the singles over there have been out of print for a while. Square Enix in Japan is really bad at keeping their older finished manga in print (unless it's FMA haha). Pandora Hearts also has 2 gorgeous manga art books and they're still available for purchase so I've been very tempted to get them since Jun Mochizuki's art is so stunning.

I wonder as well! It was really random for them to restock it and quite unlike them to reissue something from what I've seen. I just started picking up The Case Study of Vanitas. Happy to hear that you are enjoying it! The anime is one of my favorites from 2021 and I'm looking forward to Part 2. I've heard good things about the arc that it adapts so it adds even more to my excitement hearing what you had to say about it.
I was curious about the Pandora Hearts anime adaptation. I'll have to check that out too after I read the manga. Hoping to find some time to finally finish reading it as well.
I hope they re-release it as well, so you are able to pick them up! That's surprising that it has been out of print in Japan also but makes since with what you said about Square Enix.
And oh man, I didn't know there were art books. I'm going to have to get those! I always end up spending money when I see the art books you get haha I ended up picking up the Dorohedoro Mud and Sludge Artbook, so thank you again for all the help and information finding it!

@@AnimeCollective You're welcome, I'm glad you managed to pick up the awesome Mud and Sludge art book! I've been recommending it to Dorohedoro fans here and there since none of them really knew the art book exists, it can be hard to find out about such things sometimes so I like sharing the info to people who I know would enjoy such art books.
I ordered the box set when it released few years ago but there was quality control issues with everyone's copy. The Box set has dents on corner, white marks all over the books. I'm hoping Yen Press fixed those quality control issues in this re-release.
Pandora Hearts is definitely my favorite. My one issue with the manga is typos. My ocd always points out typos why reading something. And a story like Pandora Hearts where you have a character named Eko and another Echo, you wonder if it's typos or actual different characters. There's more typos than just that but I don't recall specifics.
Eko was Oz mis-saying Echo's name in the manga. So not a typo on that one. It was changed to that in English. If I'm remembering right in the original Japanese he just added chan to the end to her name.

I just ordered mine through a proxy address, as I'm really desperate to get my hands on this box (am not from the US). Tried to buy it 3 times back when it came out - always "went out of stock". Hopefully I'll have better luck this time! It's my absolute favourite series, & really regret not having been able to get my hands on this one as soon as it came out plus it's impossible to find the single volumes these days (they're insanely overpriced, just like this box set). My jaw dropped when i saw they were restocking it!

When I discovered Pandora Hearts much of the series was either out of stock or no longer available and I remember the eBay listings being so high for this box set. Even the individuals were listed for high prices as you mentioned! I'm excited to finally be able to read it and I'm looking forward to doing so even more hearing it's your favorite. It's awesome they restocked the box set so those who missed out have a chance to pick it up!

I keep trying to find these in English.. this year, I found this series in goodwill 1-5 in eng!!! I’m so disappointed that I couldn’t get more since I love this series so far.. and it’s so hard to find a full set..
I’m 12 in middle school and I’m saving up for this box set!!! I hope it doesn’t sell for more once I have the money..
Good on ya for finding a box set of such high quality in these troubling hoarder times of a box set bubble perhaps? During the past year prices have sky rocketed and because of corona driver shortages and supply gaps Seven Seas Yen Press and other publisher CANNOT fulfill the market demands. I’m out of the boxed set craze until prices drop - if they never do no big deal. I would have loved to see a Slam Dunk boxed set but again - so many volumes 28? make it impossible to complete because there’s always unscrupulous sellers offering library copies for $$$ no sane collector will pay .
Luckily a few of them, like Bleach Box Set 1 and the Dragon Ball complete box set, which were out of stock for awhile, are finally restocking on sites like Right Stuf and Barnes and Noble. Looks like some are catching up to demand, but a lot of them have yet to do so. I'm hoping the Claymore box set comes in stock soon. Still holding out hope that it will but it's been awhile.
They were struggling to keep with demand before everything, so now it's even harder with printer shortages and what not as well. Hopefully they get everything sorted out soon! I as well would love a Slam Dunk box set. Those individual volumes are hard to collect though as you mentioned!

It should be illegal to not have made more of this to go outside of the US, this thing costs so much to get it shipped to Australia I can only hope it comes to one of the aussie stores
