This is such a fascinating documentary. I was born and raised in Weehawken, New Jersey, USA. To think that Adolf Hitler's half-brother had a son who eventually settled in Patchogue, Long Island, and had sons of his own, who are still around ... amazing. Thank you, again, Mr. Felton!
There's cousins of Hitler living in UK aswell which brought rumours of Hitler visiting Liverpool in his youth but its never been confirmed if he indeed did visit them.

Good that you did not mention the correct pronunciation of Patchogue. It's not worth mentioning, though I did start laughing when I heard it.
It’s not that amazing… the west recruited and brought tens of thousands of nazis over…. Which is ironic cause now they label anyone with certain views as Nazi supporters, meanwhile they were literally supporting nazis

@@christophereduardo9903 Yeah, but most of people just think "He killed everyone, and hated his son". When he said that he will not change a fieldmarshal for a soldier, people said that It's your son Yasha, but he said that all people had their own Yashas, so it would be unfair to save him.

Stalin was a psychopath, he didn't give a rats ass about anyone in his family. That's the only reason he didn't care to get his son back. He saw it as an opportunity to make himself look like an even better leader. "That he cared so much about everyone that his family wasn't any better"

That is correct. I've seen a lot of old cemetery vid tours and you'll see 5 or 6 very young kids and infants buried within a short period of time together next to the parents. It must have been brutal.
Diphtheria has had a vaccine since the 1920’s. About 95% of people vaccinated develop immunity, and vaccination against diphtheria has resulted in a more than 90% decrease in number of cases globally between 1980 and 2000. But anti-vaxxers want to undo all that and go back to child deaths from this nearly eradicated disease. SMDH.

Douwe E. It’s rather unfortunate that from my elementary to 8th grade year in American school, “history class” was always a bland telling of our revolutionary war and an even blander unit in 7th grade on the Romans and Greeks. There needs to be a reform in how one of the most important subjects is taught..
Including a graphic of the family tree might of helped some, as it gets a little confusing keeping track of the who's who and how they're connected among the Hitler brood. Alois, Adolf's father, was a bully and brute, and 23 years older than Klara, Adolf's mother, who was originally hired into the Hitler household as a servant at the age of 16. She married Alois some 9 years later, five months pregnant, after Alois' first wife died. He was known to be rough with her while physically abusive with the kids. One can only wonder what the temperament in the Hitler household was like and whether force was involved in Klara's relations with Alois. (It certainly wasn't love.) In the 1800s, servants were common even in middle class households and though largely unspoken of in polite society, the prospect of young, uneducated servant girl being coerced into sexual relations with the household's master (or master's son) was relatively common as well. Maids made handy mistresses. Poor Klara. Had she had even an inkling of what was to come, she probably would have got on the first boat to America and got the hell out of Austria.
It probably wasn't as coercive as you hope and was rather more forced, unfortunately.
Hitler was pure evil but if you’re his mom I feel like his existence would restore faith in your self image. Like having a kid play a professional sport but not just play, also becoming an infamous living legend. If he was my kid I would dang near be blissfully ignorantly proud.

That's what happens when you're the illest
again such a great, educational video!
Fascinating account! Thank you.
Mark Felton: and you think you know about world war 2? Well did you hear the one about Hitlers relatives....
TBF the stories of Hitlers and Stalins relatives are quite well known.
@@SirAntoniousBlock I would disagree. Most people know about his niece Geli Raubal due to her death but his family background was that involved because of his father's various marriages and affairs.
@@SirAntoniousBlock lol stalins grand daughter is a punk rocker in Portland Oregon

@@armandocostigliola2597 go boil your head. This is a history channel dealing in fact not the lies and false news of the paranoid minded.
Was anyone else mentally drawing a moustache on baby Hitler?
I immediately thought of Deadpool 2.
🧔
you know it i did!!!🤣😂🤣
I was mentally drawing a mustache on Hitler's mom cuz ol'Adolph is a spitting image of his mom
Thanks for the story!
Nice work mark. Thank you
A friend of mine is married into the family of Alois' Dublin wife......it's cause for great mirth and quite a bit of slagging.
"My Wife's Grandma Banged Hitler's Brother" -- sounds like a Weekly World News headline
Why do I care tho ?
That final point of the four living relatives not having any children has a little more interest to be gleaned. I can’t remember the documentary I watched, but I believe they have a pact between them to let the line die with them.
You would be correct, though I think one of them wanted to have a kid. Only one child and that would've been adoption.
Yeah, we must have watched the same documentary as I remember that it was reported that they all had made the same pledge.
That is bullshit on their part. They should be as free as anyone to have children.
Just like I swore would happen to the mental illness gene which has run rampant my mother's side of her family. Very early on, like age 13 and later at 21 when I met my first wife, I said there was no way I wss going bring children in this world and now at 60 I'm the last of this family.
The insanity dies with me.
@@danielfronc4304 I watched one that had journalist going to home in I believe new York? Same thing. The brothers, I believe 3 , decided out of shame and safety, not to further Hitler lineage.
Dear Lord! Where do you find all this, Mark?! Mind-boggling! 😱
Another great video. Thanks.
Alois sure kept himself busy.
Bed Springs: "SQUEEE-kie, SQUEEE-kie, SQUEEE-kie, SQUEEE-kie, ... "
If he just calmed down a bit with the affairs, our world would look a lot different.
