Anyhow this looks like an amazing game, looking forward to playing it. Any chance of converting this to a fan game or rom hack instead? Prefer the idea of being able to play offline tbh
@@christaylorraka4053 It shouldn't crash, it's on a pretty beefy server! If it's not loading for you, it can take a bit and that's normal. There's unfortunately a 0% chance of me converting this to a romhack, as it was built on the premise of using the tools I'm already familiar with. If someone else wants to do it they can, but I imagine it'd be very difficult and missing a lot of features only possible with a server.
Something I noticed, Intimidate only works when switching in, not if you start the battle with the Intimidate mon

When will it fully release
Rogue Balls are essentially the next step up from Ultra Balls. They have a 3x Catch Rate as opposed to Ultra Balls' 2x Catch Rate.

Also with rogue balls you can catch some pokemons even if they are enough strongs to catch them

(P) Is for "Partially implemented" (Basically move PP/Accuracy/Power and most of the time some part of the effect working)
(N) Is for "Not implemented"* (Didn't see any while playing recently but if there's any left usually the move will do something like 1 damage)
Only tip i'd give is to catch a lot of random shit, never know when you'll hit a mon with high IVs overall or good egg move/hidden ability

I got lucky with a boss Snorlax with every IV around 20-25, very good early.
My biggest surprise was a +SpAtk Beautiful that was my ace in the best run I've had (still lost due to a bug that made me do a mistake, couldn't see sprites so I had read corvisquire instead of corviknight)
I learned what N meant when my mega Lopunny's Scrappy didn't work.
I think the fact that this is a browser game means it has a lot of potential, especially with the player versus player stuff they say is coming in the discord

@@420theacid there would not be a lawsuit. There would at most be a dmca takedown but Pokemon Showdown and Pokeclicker are already examples of much bigger websites that TPCi hasn't gone after. So no, not potential for a lawsuit.

The thing I'm most interested in with this is that I didn't expect fusion to be a part of it
This is genuinely incredible, I love being able to pick your starting team from any first stage evolution, while also having it balanced via the number system, such a great mechanic and a great way of combining two of my favorite things, Pokémon and Rouge(likes/lites)
What's even more cool is that that number can be reduced by catching enough of that mon! Pretty ingenious stuff.
I love the damage numbers popping up for each hit

dang this game is goooood. a winning/good run takes so long though that it makes the beginning feel like a slog when you go back to it lol
if u have trouble starting the game for the first time, i recommend fennekin for the dual-type fire/psychic, sprigatito for the dual-type grass/dark, and rowlet for the dual-type grass/fighting!! it really carried me through to the final finn battle (which im still on lol)

Made it to level 95 with Alolan Vulpix, Charmander, & Magnemite as my starters. I picked up a Gardevoir late game, but money got tight, and I couldn't really afford healing items... got smacked down in the rival battle. 🙃 Lovin' this game, thanks for puttin' us on Cal!!

Callum- try using thief/covet on a mon throughout your run. You can stack held items and steal EVERYTHING
Fun Fact: If you don't like any of the items you're offered, you can hit backspace and go to the next battle without picking anything! (Source: hit the wrong button)
Want to see a nuzlocke of this game! A randomized version would be so cool as well
Seeing Litten, totodile and Sprigatito, my current favorites of each starter type, paired together at the beginning was a dream come true!

Any tips?
My best starter set that I found is cottonee, shelder and fuecoco. You have the water, grass, fire triangle which is always good combined with ghost immunities and fairy immunities. The goal is to learn Giga Drain on Cottonee and then find a sun stone to evolve it. Grass types with healing moves is overpowered. It is free healing especially if you are in water, ground or rock areas. The next step is to get Whimsicott to the max level.
The trick here is that its level curve is fast so it should not be too hard to get there and once you do if it takes down an enemy then you get more exp to the other mons making it so that they level up faster. That way you can get your team to the level max at every boss fight.
I finished classic mode (up to wave 200) with nincada, meowth, and a spearow for filler.
Shedinja is pretty good all the way until the end of classic mode. I got lucky and got tera electric on shedinja for the wave 181-190 battles (I don't wanna spoil anything, but those fights are pretty intense).
Meowth with technician is a monster early game. Spearow is also a decent early game mon that's only worth 2 points in starter selection.
I'm sure there are way better strategies but I finished classic on my 3rd run so I didn't really have a lot of choices for starters.

This game is insanely hard. I did 3 runs just to see what it's like and I could only get my Pokémon to around level 14. Am I doing something wrong or is it bad RNG since this is a roguelike?
Definitely bad rng,as I made it to level 125 on first attempt

Love this game, been playing for a few hours already. Does have some annoying bugs like Fake Out not working mid battle even though I just switched the Pokemon in. This made me lose battle 55 unfortunately. Damn Blastoise setup 2x shell smash...
Double battles are super useful later on. Due to a limited battle amount it's nice to get the extra exp. Gets relevant after wave 20ish
Pokemon Emerald Rogue is one of my favorite fangames, and trying this one out it was definitely quite different but still really cool!

Rage is a move. If used raises, the atk stat of the pokemon that uses rage is hit by the opponent.

Probably a stupid question but how are you using the mouse in this game? I'm able to hover over items to see what they do but I'm not able to use it to select anything.

they're 2 different games tbh. i think i will still prefer em rogue but that's my favorite rom hack so it's kinda an unfair comparison.
Funny till yesterday I heard about this game from Pokemon group members in fb and I thought maybe Cal should try this game because you play Pokemon rogue a lot so you might like this game

It’s intriguing at first, but the relentless battles with not much chance to heal and your party falling behind in levels quickly without exp share make this heavy rng focused and ultimately a turn off
