    Wages is matched by productivity.

The approved monthly Nigerian minimum wage for a person with a 3 children family is only capable of buying 3 or 4 burgers in US or UK. Why won't Nigerians japa? That money can be earned by most people in US or UK in one or two hours.

Do we spend dollars in Nigeria. Cookies is sold for 2 dollars on average in America, is that the same amount in Nigerian. How many cokies do u find for 3k (2 dollars) in Nigeria. I feel it's a baseless comparison.

Economist. How is it baseless. Which Cookie in Nigeria is less than 3000k? Besides as they clearly showed you 70k can only now buy 93L OF PETROL. Minimum wage in USA is $1600.

That's what the least paid workers in America make in 3 to 4 hours in a single day.

Nigerians shouldn't accept this ABJECT POVERTY WAGE. The government can increase fuel price by 3.5 times, food is 4 times what it was, so minimum wage should be 3.5 times what it was as well, anything less than 105,000 Naira must be rejected.

    Naira is presently under valued!
What you get with N70k in Nigeria; you can't get with $44 in the USA.
    Please stop this useless conversion.
Any Nigerian that wants to earn dollars should come over to the USA to earn it.

An amount that can be earned by most people in US or UK in one or two hours is what our failed leaders think Nigerians should earn in a month. And they are making billions from our treasury as seen in recent EFCC probes.

Who in America gets $44 a day not to talk of 1 week not to talk of 1 month. Even those who are disabled and not working do not get this miserly and beggarly sum. It's a pity.

Jumia has a e-commerce platforms across Africa. It's not owned by Nigerians. Some Nigerians were part of the founders. It's based in Germany. Jérémy Hodara, Sacha Poignonnec, Tunde Kehinde, Raphael Kofi Afaedor founded. It's owned by it's key Investors, MTN was once part of the key investors.

@@Noob-zi2ce I thought it was owned by Nigerians seeing as 3 of its founders were Nigerian.
But still, why Indian? Through out Africa they couldn’t find anyone???
