- I've started a LOT of websites and these are the exact steps I use to get them set up. I know a lot of you are ready to get your website up and I don't want you to run into any problems that prevent you from hitting publish on that content!

I set mine up on SquareSpace quite similarly. And I could do it! These web builders like Wordpress make it really easy to set up a website. I was pleasantly surprised when I set mine up! 🎉👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎉

Ricky, you should update your browser. It's not just new features in updates. These updates are important because they often patch various security vulnerabilities and such. Those could be zero-day vulnerabilities (things they never knew were a problem, but they've always been there), and it could be vulnerabilities to new forms of attack. Regardless, you'll want to make sure your browser can do its best work for you.

I just used a Gaussian blur in Final Cut Pro.

There will definitely be video content in addition to written blog content. That’s what we teach because it’s one of the easiest ways to grow a site and build a brand.

I didn't understand what the $2 was for in the forward url? Couldn't you just forward it to the site directly without it? Also probably would be a good idea to switch from Lastpass to something like 1Password due to Lastpass being hacked again. 😕
It’s part of the rule that makes all redirects be wildcard redirects
Does using blocks make it harder to change themes or templates?
It actually allows me to change themes with no issue as long as I keep the Kadence blocks plugin.
PageSpeed Insights gives you a 74 for mobile... too low for ranking higher according to some channels.
How do you make it faster- and are you running Google Analytics?

I haven’t done anything yet for speed on this site. If you tested the homepage, it’s an image heavy page. Blog post pages will be faster, especially after I replace all images with optimized images. It’s those blog post pages that I’ll be especially trying to rank.
Also, I don’t think a 74 on mobile will prevent ranking. That’s not what I see happening in the real world.
What is the whole budget I have to spend on it
Ricky, maybe I'm wrong, but I didn't see you adding Elementor or any other page builder. Is there a reason to not add those? Your content is amazing, thanks for everything bro!
Good question!
Most page builders add a lot of bloat to your site, slowing it down. I did install the Kadence theme and their Kadence Blocks plugin which adds lots of awesome custom blocks to Gutenberg. This approach allows for a huge amount of customization in appearance without the bloat you get with traditional page builders.
Things are going toward blocks based editing.
In short, I added Kadence Blocks so a page builder would have been redundant. I get all the customization I could want without it.

what about Your theme acabado ? is kadence better than acabado
They’re different and have different purposes. Kadence allows for more customization but Acabado is easy to set up and super fast and includes Schema markup and some other features for SEO that I have to use a plugin for when I use Kadence.
Sometimes I use Acabado with the Kadence Blocks plugin to get some of both.

Yeah. I had the mic on but it must have been rubbing on my shirt or something because it was really scratchy. I thought it was still important to publish.
