    i was just diagnosed this past week with silent reflux after having throat soreness and difficulty swallowing for the past three months. i've been doing lots of research + figuring out how to adjust my diet and trying to figure out what my triggers are (plus i need to manage my stress better). i came across your videos and you've given me a lot of ideas on what to eat so thank you. hoping i can heal from this in time.

    Molly you have helped me in just a few days! I’ve had gerd since December and watched numerous videos but your videos were the most helpful! It was the caffeine that was hurting me the most, thank you so much!

    Thank you so much Molly! Watching your videos gives me so much hope. I’ve been having very difficult days since diagnosis earlier this month, but I’m really focusing on staying positive because I noticed my anxiety makes it worse. I hope I can one day be in your shoes, I’m trying to heal my gut the natural way so I know it’ll take time but thank you so much for being so transparent! ❤️

    I love your videos so much! I found your channel after I got diagnosed with LPR and it has completely changed the way I approach food. I learned that eating healthy doesn't have to be tedious, boring, and bland. Could you do a video about how to get kids to eat more gut-healthy foods? Thank you!!!

    I just found your channel (literally yesterday lol) I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate content like yours! I have GERD brought on by Lupus and RA. Granted, mine is very different in regards to triggering foods. The problem for me is refraining from those foods because they were such a big part of my diet (mostly nightshades). So fining your list of sauces and different seasonings really flipped a switch. It's also really nice hearing someone who's functionally knowledgeable *and* experientially knowledgeable about this. Being able to actually see someone experiencing it and going through making changes to deal with it makes me feel more positive about the things I've been coping with. Thank you so much for sharing this part of your life!

    Hi Molly, Have you ever heard of people having acid reflux after being on a plant base diet? I started with acid reflux 1 year after being on a plant base diet eating lots of fruits, celery juice, salads, legume, potatoes and sweet potatoes. My doctor said it's harder to heal acid reflux on a plant base diet because there is lots of carbs and not enough protein. What are your thoughts on this, would love to hear them.

    Hey Molly , I want to start off by saying thank you so much for sharing your story. I just started watching you yesterday and I am hooked on your videos. 🤗 , I suffer from Gerd and Hashimotos, I was diagnosed about close to 3 years already. I have struggles so much that it affects me daily but my main concern is my throat tightening literally after a bite of anything , I struggle with literally every type of food. 😭😭😩 , I will be seeing a dietitian tomorrow so hopefully she will be abel to help me.

      I'm no doctor but have you thought about soup diet I like the Swanson bone broth kind or Anderson soup are really good if you have a blender maybe you could blend it up a little more so it could be easier to swallow. If it wasn't for the Lord I would of been severely depressed.

    Miss Molly what an inspiration and blessing you are 💛. Thank you for guiding so many of us on how to heal. Do you know if hiatal hernia reflux can be conquered without surgery? I had both h pylori and hiatal hernia. I treated h pylori but I’m still dealing with chronic acid. Thanks so much.

    Hi, thanks for all the helpful videos! What are your thoughts on soups and smoothies when you have acid reflux? I've heard some people suggest avoiding soup since it fills your stomach more, similarly to how you should minimize or avoid drinking water with a meal.

    Hey Molly, sorry for the many more questions, I have another please - I am taking slippery elm + DGL in capsule form in the mornings, I also take an ACV drink in the morning (couple hours after), do you think I could just pour the slippery elm + DGL powders into my ACV drink and consume them that way?

    Hi Molly, thanks for these informative videos. I really appreciate your help. I have a question, can people with GERD exercise, or is it harmful? I'm not talking about meditation or yoga, other exercises that involve more strength.💕🌸 Thanks Molly

    • @frumtheground
      @frumtheground Před 2 lety +2

      I asked my doc about this a while back. It *can* be harmful depending on what is causing GERD in the first place so it really depends and you might want to just ask your doc about it. If it's because your esophageal sphincter doesn't close properly then, high intensity workouts are probably not a good idea, especially if it involves "gulping" air like running or swimming, or doing something where you're bent over. If it's more of a food based issue, then high intensity workouts are probably fine as long as your symptomsare mild or under control. For me, I have an autoimmune disorder, and it's mostly inflammatory/food based issues. I just have to be mindful of what and when I ate last prior to my workout and not eating too fast if I eat after my workout. I still have to pay attention to how I'm feeling and know when to stop. If I'm in a flare and my GERD is really bad chances are I'm not working out during that time. If you track your symptoms for a week to a month and see if it gets worse during or after a workout, what type of workout you did, what food you had, and you might figure it out that way. You should still ask your doc just in case, tho
