Many people say that Aria suffered the least out of the 5 liars and i' just like: dude, she saw her own dad cheating and had to keep it a secret for a whole year, her parents divorced, she didn't know how to help her depressed brother, a 22 year old man used her for his research and made her fall for him just s she could lead him to what really happened to Alison, she was targeted by A who put her in a box, made her loose her confidence, harrassed her, etc and now in season 7 her boyfriend's old girlfriend who was supposedly dead came back and ruined their wedding day. If you watch the whole show again you will see the story of a girl who started strong and secure but slowly started loosing herself and becoming more scared each season while the other characters became stronger. Aria did not just trash Ezra's apartment in season 4 because she found out he was using her, she had a lot of bottled emotions and that just made her break down and let everything out. She defenitly is not the one who has suffered the least. After watching all the paralyzed videos of each girl I realized every one of them has a different story. Spencer had the drug issue, Hanna suffered from Bulimia, Emily lost everything she had and Aria became insecure.

I respect your opinion but I think that Emily did not become any sadder or weaker. During the first seasons the poor girl suffered too much because of -A, Alison, Maya, etc but she slowly started becoming stronger and she found a much mature way to deal with everything. I think that it's not that she became weker, but the fact that her dad died destroyed her and weakened her for some years but now she's strong again.

I think she started being a happy girl, reservated but happy. Then, Maya dies, A destroyed her life, she committed a murder (in self defense, but a murder)... And I think that was a lot for her. I think she created a shield around her and a lot of times she hide her feelings. I don't know, but sometimes it seems like she tried to appear like she was okay but the reality it is that she was destroy. Of course she is strong, they all are, but I think she is some weak, or weaker than the others at least. But yes, she is strong, just that. (Sorry for my bad english, I am Spanish haha)
