- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2003 volkswagen eurovan. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this van while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this van designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
Our family got one of these for a cross country trip in 2003, except ours was the camper edition (everything the same except the rear bucket seats face backwards with a fold up table between them and the bench seat; and the roof pops up to form a tent/bed. We were traveling with family who had an excursion. The VW has twice the space for both passengers and luggage. Engine is strong enough to burn rubber. The van weighs a lot and drives like a commercial truck. Gets 19-21 mpg. GREAT traveling
Best road trips of my life in a Westfalia Eurovan! It is the ultimate base-camp vehicle!
You summed up my childhood!!! :)
How the hell do you always get the best songs as soon as you turn the radio on wtf
Gets lucky I guess...
Omg!!! this car is very clean , it's in good shape , i love this car so much
A unique and a rare vehicle... It's like the most common van over here. Even the police use it.
+Argantonis Lucky want one badly but hard to find in the midwest of USA
+Brooklyn Forge
More like anywhere in the US lol i never seen these vans b4, only in videos from europe lol
I can send one from europe :)
Argantonis well, here in México there are lots of these eurovan and they are used as a public transport.
There's none of these over here.
For some reason I want one now XD
ATARI800XLfan same
ATARI800XLfan 8iuu
I can send you one from europe :)
i can send you from europe. diesels also. TDI are very very good : 1.000.000km and over with 1 engine, never opened up. 450 and 500.000km is very regular normal km use.
I'm so happy to finally own one. a 2001 with a lot of miles but well kept. Nice video..i'm learning a lot about it and i'm glad to find anything related to these unique vehicles. :)
Still own?
love my Euro!
Patrick M which model do you have? Weekender, camper or regular?
Really nice van. I like Volkswagens.
These are truly amazing! Very high quality and very reliable!
Nikola Martinis it’s because it’s German made bud
Sounds way better than a caravan
Very nice. You can really tell the different van culture in Europe than the U.S.
its quality here. this vans do over 1.000.000km.
In Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Poland this Van called T4 (Transporter). Excellent review so good car reviewer
Been waiting to see this for a while! Great video as always Kyle!
Does the bk seats folds down as a bed
Boston just adds that final touch XD
The best van ever !
1.100.000km i now 1. Then he put a new head on it, now 1.400.000km, same block, never new pistons or crancshaft. There are many more go far behind 600.000km. Look at the VW T4 forum. from 1000 till 11.000€ or a camper a bit more. depends on engine and condition. Let me now if you want them. I live in Belgium. Look at my channel please.
one of my moms friends had and lived in one of these, they are really comfortable inside.
That is probably the coolest sounding V6
I enjoy these showcase car videos Kyle. I hope you NEVER run out of cars to cover.
These were sold in America! Extremely underrated and rare vehicle
not gonna lie. this is up in my favorite cars. i love it, it reminds me of Europe. Cars like this and the Vauxhaull Vivaro are my favorites!
This model off VW the Transportr 4 the model was the best VW ever build. 2500cc TDI, consumes 7L /100km. and good roadcomfort and fast in corners.... Very good cars. And cheap. If you want T4's let me now.
Wow from Jag to a Eurovan, what a jump. Kyle keeps life interesting haha
NICE FRONT WHEEL DRIVE VAN! FWD A PLUS!!! CLEAN! IFI IT WERE DIESEL I WOULD BE CALLING, AND JUMPING ON A JET!
I LOVE the Eurovan. I think it's the only van I wouldn't feel lame in, along with the Sprinter.
I’m not a VW person but that is one nice and very rare van!
How much do you want off them. On every day i can buy one here.
In the Europe these vans with a turbodiesel engine are very popular.
good to hear some boston in the background! great vid, haven't seen one of these in a really long time (no boston pun intended lmao)
Idk why, but this reminds me of my dad's 02 Passat wagon
I saw a ton of these in Germany when we visited
it's not a bad Van... pretty nice. Something we must see something different and not only Chevy's or Ford's on the road... and this van is the solution. U have a good 6Cyl. Much spacious, good rims, still good interriors with speakers and good confortable seats so it is not bad at all. Good to rent... that's sure.
Can you please do a vw type 2 bus like filmore in cars
There's one that lives down here in Savannah... I see it every now and then
1.100.000km i now 1. Then he put a new head on it, now 1.400.000km, same block, never new pistons or crancshaft. There are many more go far behind 600.000km. Nice vid Kyle! =D (Even though it has been 2 years already.) This is indeed a rare find! =D
These vans are AWESOME!!!!!!!!
1.100.000km i now 1. Then he put a new head on it, now 1.400.000km, same block, never new pistons or crancshaft. There are many more go far behind 600.000km. @RoBinchoeet, that's AN ''Caravella'' on a video. ''Transporter'' is a delivery van without glasses and passenger's seats inside.
Great find Kyle! I've always love those vans because of the style of them. :)
I would buy it because it's something you don't see all the time
There is a tuning company ''ProjektZwo'' in the Germany, which making a ''chip-and-body'' tuning for this van :) They are really fast .
Very nice job and nicely layed out
Okay. We have different Hiace here in Europe.. But its not sold anymore here because of the pollution stantards. Weve had in my family both Hiace and VW Transporter. Both were powerful diesels (75-90 hp)...
Momentinmuunnin which was more reliable? Hi ace or VW?
I wish VW still makes these van and sell them to America, Id buy me one and drive it from Phoenix all the way to Florida and back. this van has diesel engine which runs forever and it a great campber van and family fan if you want a bigger van like these.
Beautiful
Boston FTW! Interesting van.
rare in the US, here in the UK they're everywhere! It's called the T4 (Transporter 4)
Are these reliable?
@@antonioc2017 they're pretty reliable, as long as you don't get one that has problems. However, because they're aging, they're starting to rust and bits in the engine bay tend to start to go. It's hit or miss really.
the 1990-2003 Volkswagen Eurovan was assembled in
Hannover, Germany
@TheKoreanX I know. I am saying that I do not know why anyone would want it. Oh and this is larger than a Minivan.
2003 Volkswagen Eurovan GLS, 94,047 miles
I like the Tahoe next to it.
we have one in PH it is called Caravelle
Jungyeon Oppa are they popular in PH. I’m half Filipino and love the older VW 86-91 Vanagon
and let's go out and check the exterior shall we? love it! hahaha.
Once again never a bad song on that rock station u always have on!:)
@CamaroGuy10
It´s a cassette player with wiring for a CD changer (which was an option).
If you look at 5:42 you can clearly see a button for CD, and the skip track buttons. Most likely there is a CD changer somewhere in the vehicle, probably in one of those compartments in the back that Kyle did not open.
under the seat.
@AndreyPurtov
With this engine it would go 200 km/h without any problem. I drove VW T5 2.5 TDI, with has similar shape to T4 and I maxed it to 200 km/h on motorway.
i was waiting for this video
@TheO496 You don't even have to spend too much time in Europe, to be aware how common these utilitarian 'box-on-wheels' are there. It's enough to be on transit in any major European airport, while wait for your next plane to fly somewhere else.
so cute i want one
What does GL stand for like MV
VW Transporter here in the UK
I agree with game2heart's comment. It's only a cassette deck....no CD player spotted. ;)
its under the seat.
@TheKoreanX Thats a rather small V8. But this is larger than a minivan and don't give a crap of what they say it is. They can say it is a semi truck if they want. This is just as large or larger than a suburban. Plus that is a small ass V6.
How much?
@NadrianATRS thats a better interior than most american cars had in 2003
@Caffiend160 , not MP/H. It's in KM/H, check up your personal eye-vision :)
@Carnut91 I agree. I love the 70s 80s european boxy, "volvo" look of eurovans.
I just looked at the latest iteration of this, called the "Multivan." I wish VW would bring that over to replace the Routan, which is just a re-skinned Dodge Caravan. The Multivan has Euro flair and a nice compact/efficient design.
Ok, fine with the specifications, but where is the REVIEW!????????????????
where is it located and what is the price of the car
it's been 12 years so it's either owned by someone already or it's in a scrapyard
@MegaPanos1992 Transporter is generally the cargovan, while the Caravelle is the bus (can carry a lot of people) and the minivan is what would be the closest to this.
@olsvoll93
Actually in France, this version's called Caravelle !
Renault (a French car company!) had a car called Caravelle in the '60s! That name was also used on a Plymouth from 1985 to 1989.
btw if u get in Europe it's cheaper and the name of the van changes to Volkswagen Transporter , im picking up a 2003 Peugeot Boxer on wednesday for 6000 euros and it has 160,000 kms in it.This eurovans are great they never let u down , they can go up to 500,000 kms + , about 200,000 miles or more i think. So if u are thinking of getting one do it but be careful because this vans sometimes have been , well a very good use over the years and might give problems in a near future , so be careful
more then 1.000.000km is no problem. The pars are cheap, easy to repair. lots off seond hand parts also. Best car ever. from 1000 till 11.000€ or a camper a bit more. depends on engine and condition. Let me now if you want them. I live in Belgium. Look at my channel please.
I'd take this over the common minivan anyday
The wrost on this t4 is the engine type and gearbox type. A 2.5 diesel is much butter with Manuel than this t4. Rest of the van is very nice. I like the interior. Much better than in Germany. More quality.
@TheO496 Do they come in leather?
If your local VW dealer has a good history, they might still have one of these as a costomer shuttle. I know in the toronto area we have one.
2003? wow!
Ja Markis Daniels y
nice find kyle!
Shame we're not gonna see that white Genesis anymore. Nice video as always, though.
سلام امکانش هست جواب بدین فیلا قیمت این چند هست
Hi, I'm a fan of your channel a few weeks ago and your videos are very good. I know it's difficult, but can you do some other video from another Ferrari or some other supercar?
Greetings from Argentina and sorry for my English jaja
Was this the Wolfsburg edition?
Nein
You are deffintley right! I am in Germany they have like THOUSANDS!!!!
Aber nicht mit dem V6 ^^
What the hell? 2003? I havent seen this in europe since mid 90's. How long have they been making them for US ?
What's the Code of the Paint? LC6U? Greetings ✌
I had one. The kids called it 'Hitlers lunch bucket'..... We loved it.
@game2heart It says CD on the faceplate if you look closely... But I don't actually see a slot. I'm sure its there somewhere.
its under the seat, 6cd player. Its a GRundig.
90047 or 94047 miles?
Niko Singh I see 94,047. Definitely more than that now, since this post is quite old.
I love VW vans, could you find a Vanagon or Type 2?
nice engine sound
@iecanonfire also btw in the usa ford trucks are the most common mostly 2009-2011 were i live in northern Virginia near D.C. next to that would be commuting vehicles such as toyotas and chevy compacts that get good mileage so its not costly to go to & from work :)
@TheO496 they have been sold in the states since the mid 90s, i remember when they imported them here.
In europe this car is called Transporter if its a 2/3 seeter, og a caravelle if it got more than 3 seets!
Cool I saw one in Edmonton,Alberta, Canada
1.100.000km i now 1. Then he put a new head on it, now 1.400.000km, same block, never new pistons or crancshaft. There are many more go far behind 600.000km. Look at the VW T4 forum. from 1000 till 11.000€ or a camper a bit more. depends on engine and condition. Let me now if you want them. I live in Belgium. Look at my channel please.
in Mexico is very loved for public transport.
Greatness.
Most stock vans don't go 160 mph. This is one massive van.
@gardmans1 well not directly free. is paid by taxes Eh?, but thats cool whats your opinion on the a5?, ive heard mixed things about it. the a8 is the one i really want lol. here soon i may realise this goal
can you do the Kia Sorento
jaka cena ?
@THEGUZZLER1 On a flat surface?
What the Fuck never heard of an Eurovan... I love the T4 itself ;)
