    TIPS TO GET SILKY SOFT WIGS:
    - Damp the hair and remove all tangles before washing.
    - Pre-soak hair in warm water and shampoo, which is optional, or directly shampoo the hair 2-3 times until all buildup is removed.
    - Soak the hair in warm water, conditioner, and fabric softener for 20-30mins.
    Trust me the fabric softener really works!! That is what has made a difference in getting my wigs really soft.
    - Use a leave-in spray and detangle again and let the hair air dry overnight

    I’m a cosplayer who use synthetic wigs but what I do is dampen the hair put a tiny bit of gel and hair spray then store it upside down til it’s dry to add volume and to make shorter wigs look more natural

    Another way is using your clothing steamer and wig/paddle brush then either pin curl or add velcro rollers after.

    Maybe slightly dusting them with dry shampoo or coloured baby powder after drying and before styling

    I use apple cider vinegar then follow with reg shampoo n conditioner that u would get from the dollar store or wallmart and it brings wigs back to life..almost like when they were new , and the shampoo n conditioner gets rid of the apple cider vinegar smell

    • @FemiSHair
      @FemiSHair  Před 5 měsíci +3

      Hi , I only would recommend using conditioner after the hair has been shampooed/washed.And then you RINSE out the conditioner. I wouldn't recommend using conditioner again when the hair is at the "air drying" stage. Leave-in conditioner is light enough to leave in the hair and not have to rinse out. If you put conditioner again it would weigh the hair down. If you do use conditioner, you can dilute it with water so it doesn't weigh the hair down. Search for videos on "How to make a conditioner a leave-In conditioner" if you decide to go that route

    • @FemiSHair
      @FemiSHair  Před 5 měsíci +1

      You can blowdry. Just know blow drying strips the hair of moisture, which can make the strands tangle over time even more. Try to use a heat protectant and blow dry on low/med heat

      yes, it should. Fabric softeners should work best on synthetics based on the chemical materials used in making both especially synthetic wigs.

    • @Miak214
      @Miak214 Před 2 měsíci

      Just remember synthetic wigs are plastic. Think of what you can degrease and clean plastic with . Most synthetics don’t condition well, mainly higher priced ones. I have used fabric softener and it destroyed my synthetic wig. I’ve seen people use it on synthetics and it worked great. 🤷‍♀️ I think it all depends on the type of “fibers” and the methods you choose to wash them.
