Great job YBA!!! Your partner should prep you on what makes your family tick. I had to prep my wife (then fiancee) on what my parents don't like. My mum was my concern but funny enough they both clicked. Now I wonder who's mum my mum is, hers or mine.
Trust me when I say the prepping helped a great deal. And congratulations on your mum and wife getting along great. There is nothing like it.

I loved this video...YBA steadily giving us gems. I can remember the first time I met my hubby's mum & sister, I was nervous ehn, thinking back it was me that wanted to go sef. It was his sister's baby shower and it finally wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There were so many guests of the expectant couple that I breezed through the shower with little or no conversation with his mum or sister. So I actually never really had a formal meeting with my inlaws.

Thank you so much. This is okay if everyone is serving themselves. Like buffet style. If it’s not everyone, then I would ask my fiancé to serve the food. Or eat out of his/hers.

I would recommend going to pick them up and going to have a meal either at home or at a nice restaurant. This decision will depend on how long their flight was and the kind of people they are.
