Wow it looks like those GP39s can really fly, even more so than the MP36s. Given that MARC took possession of GP40PH-2 4145 just last year hopefully that means they're not phasing out the Geeps yet
Wow-how long were you camped out here to grab all those? Reminds me of when I'd go to Bush River in Harford County in the 70s and 80s and be shootin' a progression of Amtraks and Conrails! I had a great spot...till Amtrak fenced it off! That animal looked half dog, half rat! Speed? I once raced an Amtrak in the pre-Acela days north of Aberdeen and did clock it at 110. Guess that's their speed! I was younger and more adventurous then...
Friend of mine is a machinist....i went along with him a couple of times...one time he said...you want to take the wheel...i said noway mannn...he got of his chair and said now quick take the controles hahah...so i drove a train for a couple of minutes haha...but than i gave to less power so the train got in some sort of deactivade mode so he had to get back at the controles haha...was fun (-:
Traveling to and from VA on metro, looking for K5HLLY, who never showed. I was to meet her at crystal city, although I think the construction project that has started scared her away. I didn't stay long either.

It's nice to get away from a platform for some NEC action. I saw trains all day today but could only film 6. It's time for some Sony bloggie.
