The plaintiff refused to sign a new lease and claims the defendant didn’t return the security deposit, so the plaintiff is suing.     She left without giving notice, claiming fear of the defendant as an excuse to get out of paying rent. Her credibility was also diminished when it was revealed that she endorsed the check she claimed she gave them.

    She cashed her own check, so like the defendants said, no work had been done, did she really think she could get away with that HUGE lie. The defendant's son might be a lawyer, but he has a lot to learn about self-control, and he lied about sending her that letter, hence the reason it wasn't sent registered. Neither side came with clean hands...

      The son is still a young lawyer, but I would also be passionate in the defense of my parent. Also, there’s no proof that he lied about sending the letter. He simply can’t prove that he did send it. Therefore, their hands are clean.

    She did not want to.pay a rent increase in 8 years of being there when it was sold. She isnt a victim. She signed the check that was wrote to her husbands business. Taxes and insurance rates increase every year thays why rent fluctuates. She was wrong. She probably got that letter

      No, its basic lawyer 101 stuff to get a certified letter for that type of comms, and the landlord cashed the $2300, which has effect in law as type of acceptance of the $2300 as the rent where theres a dispute of what the contract is. Lawyers are held to higher degree of proof, hence why JM had a go at the son over his actions of not providing a a certified record, and she didn't believe him.

    This guy didn't have heart surgery, he just had a stent put on because nobody leaves the hospital in just 2 days after heart surgery. A heart attack keeps you in the hospital between 5 and 7 days. I have a personal experience on both

    So in other words, she wrote a check to herself on her,,,, as she said X husbands business account and then cashed the same check for herself. That could also be considered embezzling, especially if she can not prove that the work was done. After seeing this.. makes you wonder how many other checks she has written to herself and claiming it as an expensive on a business with an x husband.

      @@alexrossi4464 "Not Rich enough" You sound crazy, how many people have a Quarter of Million Dollars in cash sitting around to buy a house to live in. ITs called a bank /business loan. All she needs is a P&L statement and Sales Forecasting showing her potential increase, she could have even sold the home she lives in and moved on the property and had a salon out on the other side.
