    Nice. Very easy and still very pretty. I am currently making lap blankets to donate to our seniors at the assisted living home in my town. We have 13 people with no family or friends and will not get a Christmas gift otherwise. I make a few of theses too to donate for their tree.

    I am starting Christmas gifts; making my daughter-in-law a nice winter scarf in an assortment of her favorite colors. Using this snowflake design with ( Caron Simply Soft party Snow Sparkle ) as an appliqué all over the scarf. Instead of a fringe on the scarf, I will crochet icicles with that snowflake yarn. I think it is going to look cute; hope she likes it.

    Make it with cotton and starch it to make it hang well 😊. My mom made crochet ornaments.. I am teaching myself to crochet. I never sat still and learned when my grandma, mom and aunts crocheted all my childhood. Now at 68 when they are all gone I am teaching myself to crochet using CZcams. I am finally getting the tension and stitches somewhat consistent on single and double crochet. I would like to try this, but I am a bit intimidated. I think I will practice a bit longer then try it with cotton yarn. If it looks anything at all like a snowflake I will hang it on my tree 😊

The lesson was very easy to follow, and I appreciate that you repeat the steps instead of just skipping to the next round. Got the count of the spokes wrong a bunch of times (my initial ring was too tight, so I couldn't see the spokes well), but I made it to the end and now have a beautiful little snowflake :D

    I am a beginner. But I failed this completely lol-
    I think you should make a ABSOLUTE BEGINNER snowflake like the flower one, cause that one works perfectly for me
    and other beginners like me.

    • @catherinecrawford2289
      @catherinecrawford2289 Před 7 měsíci

      I also failed repeatedly at this one. The place I stumble is in minute 5:15 where the finishing spikes of the snowflake begin. It is unclear why the first slip stitch is in the chain 1 space, and there is a moment after the single crochet(dc in the UK) and the ch 2 where she turns the work without warning. I think that is where it all went wrong for me, lol. I had to watch 5 times before I caught the pattern and I still need to know why the work turns at that point.
