I can tell you the truth about Chaka. She's got a big heart and a deep soul.
Chaka did drugs for many years and she has talked about it plenty of times . She has relapsed quite a few times as well. She is still fighting. Hope she never gives up.

Yes, it is a well known fact. She came to see us in Birmingham England in the 90's, she was very late and she seemed a bit disorientated and kept stopping to go and sip a drink at the side of the stage. People were getting a little restless. (I'm not saying it was alcohol because I didn't pour it). She spoke in a low voice as though she was quite shy, which was quite sweet. But when she sang, She bought the whole house down!!!!!!!!

This interview was too early AM for her, and it's obvious that she's missing them drugs. Such a beautiful woman, who is talented. Her disposition is horrible and lacking energy. She's not into it.

AC McGowan yes she had to fight for what she paid and who she stands out. we ate legends in many ways. she's my influence with the big hair and the Indian midriff tank top with the najavo turquoise jewelry, I want to be here and some many others. I love her hair extension collection in stores,but her real hair is flat ironed and dyed plumbed win like her name chaka.

People have a heart, entertainers get tired, too. They get sick, sometimes, doesn't feel well but for the sake of their fans still show up, most of the time. Have anyone ever considered that she's a post- menopausal woman? When your hormones does a high kick, and a flip-flop, then suddenly wants to go nitey-nite, shoot you'll be a pound of irritable and a cup of crazy, too😂

I am grateful for EVERY time I get to watch Chaka Khan! I have been to Chicago. I have to mention the concerts in Millennium Park! Also, I'll be patiently waiting for PBS to air Chaka's performance.
Val is an AWESOME host/interviewer! She never allowed her feathers to be ruffled, and didn't back down from her job. She held her own, even when things seemed a bit awkward at times. She handled this with love and authenticity.💝

She is not bitchy and not off. She articulates in a unique way and doesn't speak at super fast "coked" up speed. She seemed amicable and down to earth, just a little shy in a group conversation. She laughed and smiled throughout.

I absolutely love Chaka Khan, she is one of my favorite female artist next to Anita Baker, Sade and Stephanie Mills. I have seen a couple of other interviews she has done and she had this same odd behavior...don't know if she just doesn't do interviews well or personal issues...love her regardless. 😍 🎤

Try appreciating her talent, overcoming obstacles, and other good things she is doing and put gossip and assumptions to rest. We don't need anymore negativity in this world. Especially with people of color who have paved the way for others.

Pop Land: Though "Hello Happiness" is a great album, she didn't need that album at this point in her career really...she's done almost everything (every trend) in music...Jazz is more truly her thing nowadays...and she obviously has this incredible back catalog she simply cannot skip on a concert...that's why she probably won't perform the new songs, that are also more studio oriented than most of her previous material...

Chaka comes off difficult in this interview. I love her but this was a little strained.
It seems like she is a little off.
I have seen her do several interviews, and she is always "uneasy". I just believe the stage is her platform. I love her, been seeing her in concert since I was a teenager (61 now), the last time 2 years ago. She has struggled on and off with addiction, as I have too, but we never give up. I don't know what the story is with this interview, but regardless, she is the one and only Chaka!
Chaka seems a little different looking at her watch like she had somewhere to go, and her responses she doesn't seem very friendly at all...

She's not an open person. I've been in her presence a lot as she comes to toronto a lot. I have worked with many celebs & it's very demanding as ppl expect way too much of their person. She's very shy, very proffesional tho & gives 💯 plus on stage. That's all they owe you. Not a thing more.

About this time last year, seen icon Khan at the Denver Botanic Gardens concert series show! With a meet and greet, except the meeting did not happen. Some say the performance was average, but it was iconic I thought. It is Chaka Khan! Also, an impersonator was on point from the Denver area.
