Well and the thing with Maryland is the fact that you have different areas like the mainland marylanders versus the Eastern Shore Marylanders. I was born on the eastern shore of Maryland and I still have a lot of family that lives there and it's a whole different ballgame over there compared to the rest of the state.

The first Ouija board was made in an apartment(now a 7 eleven) in Baltimore Maryland .Creator Elijah bond and medium helen peters allegedly talked with the ''talking board'' and asked what it wanted to be called which it spelled out Ouija (Allegedly) .Bond's connection didn't end in death however because their is a Ouija board craved on the back of his gravestone.

As an Alaskan I didn’t know other states didn’t get a permanent dividend fund. (You get paid to live there) even kids get it but it usually goes to a college fund.
Growing up between Alaska and NY was interesting in that regard. I always had to explain to my friends in NY what that was. Almost always there was the joke about how it's the oil companies compensating for destroying the state. lol

I know this video was posted a while back but a few fun facts about Texas are:
- We have kolaches which are a czech pastry that either have fruit or meat and cheese in them and they are a very popular thing in Texas and as far as I know are really only a Texas thing
- There's a town in west texas called Marfa that has a phenomenon called the Marfa Lights which are these random lights that show up in the sky sometimes and no one knows what they are or why they happen
- There's another town in west texas called Lajitas who's mayor is Clay Henry III, a beer drinking goat
- This might be a thing in other states but there's a Texas pledge we have to say in school every morning just like the pledge of allegiance
Oh noooooo........kolaches are very popular up north. There are a lot of Slavic, Czech, Polish, etc people up there. I was born in Michigan and you can't go to any meal-type gathering without someone bringing kolache. I am glad they made their way to Texas for you all though. Cool fact about Mayor Goat though!

I'd like to throw one out there for Alaska that may be weirder than being paid to live there (which is actually incredibly fascinating process to learn about), which is that after the Russians were forced out of Alaska, some of the Alaskan Natives continued to practice certain aspects of Orthodox Christianity whilst going back to their original practices and beliefs at the same time.
