Although my childhood is gone theese new busses are nice
THE HYDROGEN BUS IS GONNA BE IN THE MIDVALE DISTRICT MY LOCAL DISTRICT OMG YES
That's one beauty of a bus right there! Oh, and multicolored destination signs, too!
1:20 Yoo. That XHE40 looks like the XN40
some people actually thought it WAS an XN40 at first.
OKKK looks like we getting a new baby, septa is giving birth to the XHE40s, get yall cameras ready, I heard Midvile getting the first 10 new orders of the XHE40s & the XHE60s are supposed to coming to Allegheny, Midvile, Southern & I hope Collowhill for the ( 21, 52 & 65 busss )
The 2008-2011 buss fleet is retiring along with the nova articulate buses even tho they are 11 years old they still got another 8 years left in them but we getting all these new buses this year
At 0:57-1:05. Look closely at the Frontier depot block ID
10, 11, 13, 34, 36, Market-Frankford Line
Best event ever ngl. Only for the 8000 tho lol.
*(2024) Zero Emission Bus Looks Pretty Brand New, And It Stinks That Diesel Buses Are Going On Retirement Soon But It's How It Is.*
Not soon, now. The diesel buses are officially all retired.
@@DashTransit technically the revision are still around
@@jcwnetwork5548 if you're talking about the MD30s, they don't count because those operate on contracted routes. They don't, and won't operate on non-contract transit lines.
@@DashTransitI never understood why the MD30’s are the non diesel septa fleet. I mean they are diesel but I mean like why does nobody count them as diesel since they are small but loud like a tiger.
They're not part of the "SEPTA" fleet. Yeah they have SEPTA Branding but they operate for Trenton-Philadelphia Coach (Germantown) and Krapf's Transit.

It was a fun day
my brother was there lol
So what exactly is the difference between these and electric bus?
Do the hydros work as efficiently as do the others?
we will find out soon. They're testing out many of them soon.
The only beauty is the old Diesel D40FL. But the CNG power one is just an ugly stranger to me.
That’s a hydrogen bus, not a CNG bus. The label says CH2, not CNG
It's not ugly
@@mtasubwaymartasubwayit is to him as he doesn’t see how cool and quiet it is. It has a big tank, which is a problem for some people especially with some bridges on some routes, but that’s because of stuff inside the tank to keep it full I guess.
@@YaboyMX595 I don't care if it is to him, he's only saying that probably because there's to many xcelcior buses, I can agree with him on that, yes their overrated and most transits have them , but their not ugly.
What about the MiDis?
is 8093 being preserved?
Question, Will Septa make the D40LF into hydration Fuel cell bus?
Why would they for a bus that's approaching 20 years old next year? Also that's up to New Flyer Industries' responsibility to do so. They ceased production on the D40LF since 2010.
They're actually converting quite a few Xcelsior hybrids into battery electric during their overhaul process. The D40LFs are dead, unfortunately.
Here's more on SEPTA's ZEB plans: www.vtransitcenter.com/2024/04/17/septas-fleet-is-about-to-get-greener/
That’s so interesting… So I’m assuming SEPTA is all hybrid-electric?
95%
Theres battery electrics and trackless trolleys mixed in as well
what's gonna happen to the last diesel bus? scrap?
As with most buses that are retired from active services. Maybe Septa will preserve the last diesel bus.
