one of the biggest mistakes this company made on this game was forgetting that legacy of bhaal and fury of winter on their respective games were designed for you to import higher level characters from previously finished games
Great video. I quite enjoy Kingmaker and love listening to anything around it while I'm at work (so for the parts where you were just hovering over stuff that didn't work to well lol). I'm probably going to start a new game soon too so this was a nice refresher on a couple of things.

About exotic proficiency. You don't get to use all exotic items with this feat. You get to choose only 1 (for example elven curved blade) Hoever it's worth noting that some races can use exotic weapons with martial proficiency if that exotic weapon contains the name of their race. For example an elf with martial proficiency can use the exotic weapon Elven Curved Blade.... Dwarf with martial prof. can use dwarven axe etc...
OMG... I have - no bs - watched 8 hours of various tips, builds, tricks, guides and other videos regarding research before I start playing. I started loosing hope and then I got this video. I'm watching and after 5 minutes I think "this guy sounds familiar... like that guy I watched a year ago who smoked a cigarette and explained whole DOS2 in an hour better than whole YT combined ". Quick search... YEP :) Dude... your guides are GOLD! For those 8 hours I listend today 98% was BS and maybe 2% of real useful info. I felt like there was more storytelling in those videos than in the game itself. Not here - straight to the point. Love it! Keep it up, you're doing gods work.

Almost done with the game and i had no idea about inspecting, thanks for the helpfull guide.
Something i did not hear while watching this guide or i just missed it. Something super important is that mercenaries cost 50 gold at level 1(not 500 its a bugg). If you want a 6 man party asap do not level until you got all the mercenaries you want.
Also if you want as much gold as possible get 6 pet companions and max str, its the only way to be filthy rich ASAP. More total party str (pets help with this) the more you can carry.
First of all, tnx for watching! Never covered mercs in this guide, only companions(Guide is already long enough for me to add Mercs). Mercs just steal xp away from your companions(plus it depends on what diff you are playing on, I made this guide for Unfair diff).
@@Werglia What does it matter that mercs steal exp from your companions when you do not use companions, they are awfull. Dont tell me you must use them at the end of the game otherwise i see no reason to play them on any difficulty.
Yeah, your companions make a huge difference in the entire campaign along with ending and the story. You can play the end game with your mercs too ofc.

Love your guides but i must correct u one one thing. Best time to play varnhold dlc is actually after 3rd act(season of the bloom) and before 4th(varnhold vanishing).

Hope you can help me (anyone out there!). I'm new to the game and can't figure out why my Rogue, using a Rapier takes so long to use it!!! It has a 4 sec countdown. He's a pure Rogue level5, with weapon proficiencies like weapon finesse, preferred weapon (rapier) etc... Maybe it's one of his other active skills that's causing it.
It's a normal thing if you are at the start of the game(first 5-10lvl's). Watch this entire video and you'll have an easy time with the game.

Power Word: Reload makes every strategic point moot. The guide could be shortened to a tenth of its total time with one single advice: reload when rng is not favorable.

I'm sure people must have asked you this before, but how would you rate pathfinder and Dos2 out of 10? Which game is better in your opinion? Just curious
DOS2DE > PK for casual/normal players on hardest difficulty.
PK > DOS2DE for hardcore cRPG players(true, real-time DnD rules)
DOS2DE > PK in terms production, quality, etc.
PK > DOS2DE in terms of content(items, classes, choices, length, story)
DOS2DE > PK for younger players(light comedy vs 'serious' adventure, at least it's serious for DOS2)
I love them both, DOS2 was in 10 times better state(balancing, bugs, optimization then PK on release date).
If I had to pick one, I would pick PK cause it offers more challenge, lenght and better replay value, it's a deeper game for sure. I gave DOS2 higher score in my reviews(much higher) but I compared it with unfinished vanila version for PK in the review. You have both reviews on my channel.

Pretty much my experience as well. Just finished the game on hard a real shame the last chapters really put a sour taste in your mouth. Many end game moments where I just didn't save the game because it would take so long only to wipe to an encounter and go back to my autosave.
Yo werglia i am playing a sorcerer with jubilost (cuz he good :D), nok-nok (cuz he funny and really strong) , harrim (maybe i'm in the minority but i like his nihilism and i need a second tanky guy plus he heals, ekundayo (strong good dmg) ,valeri main tank. So you're saying i need amiri but do you know with who do i swap her with i mean idk can harrim tank.I'm playing on challenging its my first playthrough.
I would like to swap valeri with amiri because valeri is boring asf but idk if harrim can tank with amiri.
@@commandershepard1357 You don't need a tank at all(I was speaking about that in the video here). Swap Valerie for Amiri. For challenging if you stick with some basic rules here, you'll stomp everything with right click. Btw always have cleric, you need those buffs.

About the game, you talk about must-have feats, but for your first character, your fighter you show that you selected 3 unarmed feats, that's probably only good if you're unarmed am I right? I use a flail and shield on my main (fighter) why would i need 3 unarmed feats?
Unless Im missing something.
Another thing is that you get to pick a favorite weapons feat, even 2 of them early on, and the game suggests to pick them And i did that on all of them, and later i realized there are a lot of better weapons, now those feats are wasted. They dont explain any of this.
Edit: Also, great guide for beginners, probably the best. All the others assume people have experience in the pen and paper and table top. Which most of us have no idea what they even are. And they go into some details without explaining the basics

The main char here is monk(that's why unarmed, ofc you don't need unarmed on a fighter - check Valerie and Amiri for that).
You never pick weapon feats 'till you reach lvl 12-15+.

I think I am going to be boring and respec everyone with a mod to a base class and just go 1-20. I will make Valerie into a dual wield sword and shield fighter for example. Probably not going to play on hard will use the difficulty closest to actual Pathfinder. I don’t really like min max stuff I end up with restartitis.

There is no such thing, most of the builds work if you lvlup the right way.
I believe that Alc-Rang-Rogue-Barb-wiz/sor-Pal/cle/monk are the best option for starters.

Yes, you need luck, but if builds, preparations and positioning are wrong there is no such thing as luck. You will always fail.
Why amiri? Isn't she a sub par companion? How do you build her?
It's your main initiatior and main damage output on the map. Check the entire video.

I am asking because I found your advice more or less coincides with what I have read until now, except most people consider amiri weak.

@@vermisgood I don't know what most people think, i know my Amiri had most kills on Unfair diff and biggest damage output. Not to mention Barbs mobility and a very fun companion. Great general for city menagment too.

90% of players will like DOS1 and DOS2 more then PK. Reason is simplicity.
PK is more complex, real-time with pauses and it's old school cRPG with specific rules.
DOS is turn-based comedy driven RPG.
DOS > PK - it's a better quality game.
For old school cRPG players PK>DOS.

I stopped the video and searched the web for a "Petfinder" item for several minutes before the truth dawned on me. :)
Your accent is fine though Werglia, I'm not criticizing.
On my language it's 'petfajnder' or how you hear it 'petfinder', and I know how to pronounce 'path' but sometimes i can mix up my own language and English since I speak both daily, and mix up accent. It can also happen that I add some English words when I speak my own language. If I spoke only one language for a year I could get used to accent, but that will never happen ofc.
The guide is really good and instructive. But unfortunately I can not understand why there is so much criticism of the game and so many negative things to say. It feels like you really suffered in all the 1000 hours or more you devoted to the game.

The state I played the game in on it's vanila version was horrid. Corrupted saves, deleted saves, 10000 bugs, unoptimized, crashes, glitches. Bugfinder Questkiller is a nickname for this game for a good reason. No matter how good it get's now, I'll always remember the torture from the first run. I was one of the very few people that finished the game in vanila, 99% of players didn't even have the chance to pass 'the house of the loading screens'. The only way to answer you question it to check my entire first playthrough on this channel. 250h of suffering.

Old School cRPG is how I would describe it. Worth playing now for sure.
"Useless Regongar" which can basically solo unfair. And stuff like that all over the place. Maan, thats a good guide in some things, but totally bad in other things. Why make a guide in 2019 and not even bother to look through other ppl unfair builds/playthroughs?
First of all, I never look other builds or videos of guides or playthroughs cause that would ruin my own perspective about the game.
Second, I do not copy other videos like 95% of youtube channels.
Third, He is uselles comparing to top 6 companions.
Fourth, his spells are bugged, entire game lags when you cast his aoe spells and fps drops all over the place.
Fifth, and probably most important, magus class is way too complicated for 99.99% of players(and this genre already has the smallest auidence compared to other genres).
P.S. Solo is different and easier cause you soak up all the exp for yourself and that means you can stomp everything.
