Hi. Just bought one today. I’m confused. Does the pit actually attach to the base or just sit on it loosely. I can’t seem to get mine to stick. Was just wondering if it doesn’t. Thanks
Solo stove is like the Apple of these smokelss stoves..they marketed the crap out of it and is regarded as the holy grail..so they charge more for the firepit and need to buy the over priced accessories.
I know it’s only been 3 weeks or so, but what are your early impressions on this one? Considering this one, but Solo has a nice 4th of July sale going too. Thanks!
I have the Breeo Y and regret having bought that overpriced flimsy piece of shit. And Breeo's cheap 304 stainless starts rusting after a few burns like everything cheaper too,so why not buying cheaper right away. With hot fires in the chamber the stainless looses its rust preventing feature. Breeo downplays that but gives you only a 5 year warranty against rusting through. When I mentioned that under their youtube-videos, they deleted my comments 😄 When mentioning that under the top-list videos of a supposingly independent vlogger (Break it yourself / The Barbecue Lab), who to my believe gets his products for free from Breeo, it was also deleted there. Very independent opinion you get there 😄😄 Breeo's way of dealing with criticism is very un-American. Solo Stove is Chinese. I would not bother with getting the Costco thing even though it is from China too I guess. So... yeah, I would go with something other than Breeo or Solo... Costco's Hot Shot looks cool. They all work. So thanks for showing an alternative product! Screw Breeo and screw Solo Stove.👍🏻

Solo stove does not come with the stand. The hot shot has the stand integrated into the design.

Yes you can leave it out and use it in a brick/stone surround as long as you leave about 3 inches around it.

Yep, I haven't had any issues with the hot shot, it's been sitting on the patio since May and still looks brand new 😁 been rained and snowed on 🙂
How is it to clean out afterward?
It's pretty easy unless you burn wood that has nails it 😉👍
