My Theory: I think Betty and Jughead will work together more in this investigation since, there's a higher chance that Aliens and Mothmen are connected to what happened to Polly. That man they talked to, had said about what happened before at that Phone booth, just like what happened on a phone booth were Polly called her sis and mom. Though, Polly describes to Betty something about spaceship before what happened to that phone booth. Which will made Bughead work together more. Since they'll have the same mystery of the investigation. There also might have a chance that they'll get back together just like the old times.
But i might've saw some sneak peeks of Jughead and Tabitha's kissing scene. i think they might've kissed bcz of their lonely souls i think. Varchie is already an endgame, since they got back together. Might as well Bughead, but not on this season
Well i posted this comment a week ago and i already watched S5 EP10 of Riverdale last week. And S5 EP10 when Betty told Glen that she asked Jughead to meet to their FBI office to help with the investigation, but then Glen doesn't want Jughead to help with them(kinda jealous huh). But still, they'll still work together(Bughead) with the same case, which what i've said a week ago. Which was actually makes sense to me. Though Jughead got abducted by Aliens or Mothmens(idk lol) at the last scene. Which will make it harder to Betty.
Jughead said he woke up in a phone boot, after his blackout (episode 5x08). I don't know if it's just coincidence or....
It's very possible that Jughead and Betty separate investigations will intertwine. Maybe even Jughead's hallucinations, blackouts and trauma in NY will be important to solve this mistery. Who knows??

I think because their real relationship behind the scene ended, they are in an awkward position to act as lovers in the show. If you notice, season 4 didn’t really end that bad...I mean, their relationship could be saved. Then they broke things off before January which was when season 5 premiered although Cole officially announced it in March😩 You don’t expect people that broke up to start kissing on set😂 It would be awkward, that’s why I don’t think they might come back together in the show. Maybe they would, but it would be towards the ending of series to limit the awkwardness 😩 I feel like if they start kissing and doing stuffs on the show, they might come back together in real time and sort their issues
