Can someone make a better cable cam for me? This Wiral has been so unreliable for me, but I love what you can do with it.
Why? Cos you didn't nail it in this video!!! 🤟
Ugh… just ordered one. Can you share your top three issues with it?
@@charliesaigon My main issues are with the app. I find when I'm repeating a move several times it very frequently over shoots the start/stop points which sometimes just makes the wheels fall off so it doesn't work, and sometimes (under specific scenarios that have happened to me twice) it can cause the line to snap if you aren't careful. When key framing the speed of the movement I also find sometimes it will simply disobey either taking off way to quickly or to slowly. Same thing when returned to an A point, it may either shoot back at full speed and then overshoot the end point, or it sometimes goes painfully slow to the return point.
@@JesseDriftwood yowzah, I’ll stick to hanging an X3 under it rather than the dual 1” 360 until it hopefully one day can earn my trust. Your feedback is much appreciated.
Can I please know what the name of the song is. I know you probably won't see this since I'm a year late.
Every video you make is a masterclass in creativity. Thanks for such high quality and inspiring content!
The 60x and 60d are so underrated. With the new Lightbox kit... a gamechanger!
So true! Its been one i grab more than i expected
@@FellowFilmmaker Late to the party here out of curiosity but which do either of you prefer or would you grab first to use ?
60D for more power of the 60X where you can change the temp? Is the difference in output that noticeable between the 2? Ive seen videos w/ specs & numbers but was curious about actual real world use.
i have nothing interesting to say but, as always, so glad i clicked. what an intro!
Appreciate you dude!
We absolutely cannot think of any creator who puts this kinda work and creative thought process for a product video. We aren't gear-heads per say, but you, dear friend, make us want to buy gear that we may not want 😀. Watching your videos are a lesson on storytelling for us. Much Love and respect from India.❤❤❤
beginning black and white vid is 😎
I need that whole setup… yepp. Need it.
OMG!!!! That cable cam idea was GENIUS! A completely different way to hollywood a light!
Seeing you after long day
Using lighting to transition cuts? That was sick
Super cool Jesse!
Hi this intro was so dope I’m not sure why you aren’t doing the next Nike Campaign
I could watch that opening sequence for dayssssssssss
This turned out so good dude! You killed the intro edit!!
This popped on my notifications (because I’m subbed and hit the notification bell), but I misread it at first and thought Jesse had commented on one of MY videos! 😂😂😂
I'm always mindblown on how good your videos are Jesse. Your creativity is one of a kind. Truly inspiring👏👏👏
Dayummm this is so cool!!!! Love the friends working together to make awesome stuff to happen
You’re seriously the fucking best at making internet videos.
You’re the fucking best at making me blush 😅
Love this! Super creative and I really like how experimental you have been with your videos lately!!!
Honestly, lighting the wall in that shot going from a silhouette to reveal was amazing!
That was all Dave’s idea! It’s my favourite part of the whole video. It’s like pressing CMD-I in real life.
@@JesseDriftwood what does command I do? Absolutely! I love that ideas can be shared to make those wonderful touches to stuff. I owe some fantastic ideas to many others than myself. Go team!
This house turns into a creative light dome🤩 the lighting in a video of your other channel was already awesome. The sun coming through your windows while you where skating. Man!!! I love it when you get creative 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
Wow, that intro. I have watched it way too many times now. Truly inspirational work Jesse.
Jesse at it again. Just always blowing us away with his creativity. Where other people just “review” he actually uses it in such cool ways.
Yeah! Wish id thought to wire up the light 😁
That moving overhead light shot is so so cool. Sweet.
Super Awesome idea! Results were incredible as always. Great work!
Flying "rainbox" light. GENIUS! 📷🔥
I need this in my life 😮
this intro sequence was inspiring! drew me in and made me forget even about the gear!
The video is beautiful!! Thank you for the lighting information!
the intro is so so cool! love your videos - they're always so creative
that opening shot was pure fire 🔥
Awesome 👏 this video should hit million
This was such a well put together video - nice work!
Genius concept
Master piece ❤❤❤❤
The intro sequence...joy to watch Jesse
00:32 so simple but yet so effective! LOVE THE INTRO!!
That intro! Wow, loved it!!!
Thanks man!
That flying though 🔥🔥🔥
Soft light is not just about the size of the diffuser. It’s also about the distance from the light to the subject. The sun is pretty big, but it’s far enough away to create “hard” light. Those lights were far enough away that I wouldn’t characterize them as “soft”.
I did enjoy the light on a wire. That’s a cool idea!
Oh yeah absolutely! In fact I’ve always wanted to talk about this since distance makes a HUGE difference and I’ve rarely seen it covered online.
the most underrated youtuber. your content is too good man!
Everything about this video is awesome! That intro was inspiring to say the least. Subscribed!
Super creative, love that idea.
this intro is sooooo dope! Gonna download this and study it frame by frame
I think it’s rather interesting that Aputure have replicated a concept produced by Godox some time ago. This is an almost direct copy of the ML60 and it’s small soft box..
the intro is amazing !
Amazing light play.. love the intro. Inspiring stuff 🤙🔥
that intro was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Genius. Please keep inspiring.
This is so good. You are so good.
That intro 🤯 so cinematic
unbelievable shoot and edit 💕
Genius ideas 🔥 thanks for inspiring
Amazing as always - learned something new!
Can you drill a hole in the handle to attach the handle to the lightstand.
That intro was GOLD
Intro had Skate and Create 2010 vibes and I'm here for it
You're an absolute genius!
OOOOOOOOHHHH this intro goes TOO HARD!!!
That intro..... That was HELLA, hella!
Every intro you do is so amazing! I think you sold me on this light set up. Is the next video going to be "Why I drilled a hole in this brand new light handle"? haha
Damn Jesse, you are always super creative but using the cable cam for this was so cool! What a heck of an idea. I have the 60x which has been great to use. I feel like I still have a lot to learn regarding lighting.
Using a Light Dome Mini 2 with the 60x
Intro was so fire I had to stay and watch the entire video.
So Siccccciiiccckk !!! What a killer idea
I wish i had thought of it!
Ummmmmm. This intro is pure🔥
Dude, much love from another skater! 🖤
I mean, I still struggling with basic ollies but I have fun with it.😅
I know it’s the point of the vid but you’re a king of camera movement and now light movement?? 🤯 the intro king lives on.
Holy smokes! Loved this one Jesse. I mean I already told you that when you FaceTime me this morning! But still!
Thanks man! And thanks for the help even in your slumber.
Nice shoot man! 🔥
Cool! Good video! Thank you for sharing it. ✌️
You did such an awesome job showing off these new products by Aputure. If you get a chance, I would love to get your feedback on the video I made for Aputure. cheers bro
That intro was so killer wtf
Kudos. Impressive.
*Just got the 60d and I was looking for a soft box that was small enough to use on my Desk as a Key Light and after watching THIS video I can see how it will look in My Room and the soft box doesn't look HUGE like the other types I was looking at.*
I also posted a little reel so you can see how I use it as my key light in my shipping container.
@@JesseDriftwood wouldn't happen to have the link to that
Hey what monitor are ya rocking? need a new one thats big and good for editing
Yes for this dramatic film shot Maybe but when you're trying to do realistic lighting not so much
Vídeo muito bom, como sempre!
Qual a sua nova câmera, FX3 ou FX30?
Jesse seems like he’s as rough on his gear as I am. Which is heartening
did you make the "driftwood" GH2 hacks?! If so thanks, I used them
3:39 OHHH I THOUGHT YOU USE A DRONE WITH THE SMALL LED LIGHT! 🤣😭 HAHA
I know this video is older, but is there anyway you could do a tutorial on how you did the light/face swipe thing at 0:33?
Love from India
Jesse I know you have a drill make the hole in the handle for a baby pin mount.
love the video
- would it have been doable and easier with a qlion or other 1 foot tube light with a grid?
You could do something similar, but I don’t have enough experience with tube lights to say how exactly the results would differ in terms of output/shape/beam angle.
can i have the music resource thst you used at the beginning ?
Let's not confuse people because there are certain lighting situations where bigger sources of light are better than smaller. Like lighting a space evenly without rapid falloff.
Ok next time I’ll make sure to describe every possible lighting scenario that someone might encounter.
the transitions look amazing :), any tips to ricreate them in davinci resolve and in hand?
I made this all in Final Cut and handheld camera movement! Nothing too fancy going on here. I think a couple shots used a bit of masking just to to bring two shots closer together in the transition.
THIS INTRO!!!!!?
God damn dude... this looks so much better than how you ever described it to me
such a great fucking job man!!
Thanks man! I learned so much on this shoot and now want to redo it properly.
@@JesseDriftwood looking forward to seeing more insane ideas with it 🤣🤣
Whats the sound used in the intro?
Could you please make a tut on how the heck did you edit that intro😭
What's the song at the beginning? I always forget the title. Great video. The creativity is very inspiring. Thank you for posting this!
Caution - Skrxlla
Looks great....but do you find the shadows aren't a soft using this instead of something bigger? And how long does the battery last? And I can't find the battery setup on their site.
Yup shadows aren’t as soft but depending on the look you are going for it’s a non-issue. I actually didn’t test battery life at all since we were just swapping in random NPF batteries that were laying around, no clue if they were even charged up fully.
watafak level of editing first seconds of the video blown my mind
how did they forget about a 3/4 pin at the bottom
I seldom comment wow. Wow!
Trying to learn light, but for talking head would this 60d with this light box be good as a key light?
I was lit for my talking head with the 100x (at about 25% brightness) and the 4545. So as long as you aren’t trying to over power the sun you should be good!
You can certainly use it yes (i have an example with the softbox 45 i just put out on my channel)
Its not as soft as a large diffusor, but can certainly get the job done
What’s the intro song tho?
😊
Legit
hey, i’m looking to shoot a short film in a werehouse. Does anyone know where this was shot?
Yeah this is our studio but also a set of film rental locations 🤙. It’s called Evil Empire in Hamilton.
