Just got my black oiled leather Arizona's today. The quality of the leather is amazing, right out of the box. Can only imagine how they will improve even more over time. The original footbed will take some getting used to, but c'est la vie. I believe that there will be a pair of black oiled leather Bostons in my near future. Already have a pair of Bostons in the smooth Almafi leather,but they seem almost dressy, and have the soft Footbed.
Simone Carter I would say they run slightly larger than normal. Typically I’m a US size 8 in women’s in most shoes. I do tend to size up to 8 1/2 or nine in a lot of my running shoes but that’s because I like to have a much looser fit in case my feet swell. and I’m a size 38. I can also fit a size 39 but if it’s not the soft bed, I can feel the heel of the sandal tapping against the heel of my foot and making that flip-flop sound.
New subscriber with/for info. To keep your leather good, use Huberd's boot grease. I oil my Corks (real spike soled logging boots by Wesco) the 1st Saturday of the month. Ten years on 12 hr days only now sending them in for a resole. I might bet a pair of these for myself I have flat feet bad ankles & broke my foot in the Navy (I folded it over my shin). Until now I'd wear Men's Keds but they don't make them anymore. They are 10 years old & gone. Do you think I'd get 2 years between resoling & maybe 4 before a rebuild?
Man just look on Reddit at the amount of people owning them for over 10 years, don’t get them wet and they’ll last you that long. After which you can get a new footbed and wear them another 10 years
Birkenstocks are Comfortable and I wear them without Socks to Air My Feet Out and I prefer without Socks and Sandals are meant to be worn without Socks and are meant to Air Your Feet Out and my Favorite are the 2 Strap Arizona Do you prefer without Socks or with Socks?

The scratches are the oils moving from that area. Use friction and your thumb to rub the oils back

If you purchase the birk cleaning kit, the erasers looking block on the brush will buff out those scratches.

Yes as along as you don’t get them super wet they’ll last you years n years

I have high arch so I have to put the 2nd strap on the third hole. The 1st strap next to my toes are on the 1st hole.
