There's no denying it, Slash and Rod are a match made in heaven.
That singer makes most of those other 80 singers look like cub scouts. 😮
Rod Jackson is my favorite Slash singer
He does have a great sound.
@@Crimson_Logic dude , HEs a Rockstar !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He used to be in a band here in Richmond in the late 80's. Saw them regularly and knew even then what a great singer he was.
@@johnhanes4442 ur so lucky
scott weiland is mine
rod jackson is the best vocalist of slash's all projects!!! what a rocknroll man!
I would give everything to be at this concert...😭💔 Snakepit reunion please...! 🥺😭
Rod Jackson ON FIRE as allways!!! The best singer Slash wave...
I never understood what happened with this lineup not getting the credit i felt they deserved, rod jackson had the look, the voice, the moves, the songwriting, personally the album with him is better than if i put together a 'best of' with myles kennedy on vocals. shame, at least i got to see this lineup in the flesh once.
I'm such a Myles Kennedy fan, he's my favorite singer. But, I really think that Rod is the singer who suited Slash the best. I mean, the way to sing and create melodies over his riffs.
This!
I like both versions of Snakepit, I like his work with Myles Kennedy and of course I like GNR, I wish Slash was 4 people and all these bands could co-exist.
All of this !
I like most of Slash's work, but I don't like Myles Kennedy as a singer. I think he should be with a much better singer. I liked Josh Todd but he didn't really thrive.
@@Tinchossh Josh Todd? Come on.. i like buckcherry but Todd ain’t nowhere near Myles, Rod, Dover, Scott or Axl. Slash has imo worked w the best singers.
Myles is an amateur compared to Rod and this band...
I do not like Myle's voice, it sounds even worse than mine!
The best Slash Singer!
Ain't life grand album greates in Slash's career
Now That's what a vocalist sounds like
Yeah, ok. Rod's good but nothing special, unique (for me).
This band was insane
All their songs were BOMBS !! The Snakepit should have been the only Slash's band. They are what Slash wanted for GNR at the time and people loved it and even more nowdays. Slash and Jackson are just meant to compose and play together. Ain't Life Grand is one of my favorite Rock album ever and for sure one of the best of all time, so powerfull and beautifully played, so underrated.
The best band of all times.
What a frekin Voice!!
Rod is a Rockstar !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rod was my neighbor when I lived in hollywood and he would tell me stories about playing with slash and we would jam sometimes, he could have been much bigger bad management.
They should have used this singer in Velvet Revolver as well. This guy was fucking great.
he is
I prefer Scott's voice way more. Scott was way more creative (as a musician), shocking (visually) and also "cursed". Rod is a good vocalist (musician) but nothing special to me, not many remember him.
Slash has mentioned a big reason for slash's snakepit's split is Rods work ethic, or lack there of unfortunately.
@@MLCrow can't agree more.. Scott had a whole voice long before VR with STP with many classics too.
@@DCMA247 Yes, Scott was also a very eclectic musician. If you listen to some of his solo stuff (example: album 12 Bar Blues) you will hear a lot of different musical influences and genres. He made also some great cover songs etc. It's no surprise he was nicknamed the "music chameleon". Scott was by far the most musically creative vocalist Slash had worked with.
One bad ass album!!
Soooo crazy good! Rod Jackson 😜👌💣💥
This looks way too good to have been shot 20 years ago
YES, THANK YOU! The world needs more Snakepit MK II.
Great voice....
Are there other projects with Rod Jackson on vocals?
3 of different Kind is another band! with Rob on vocals.
@@sandorivera7industriaazucarera hmm
His old band from Richmond called Ragdoll.
@@johnhanes4442 tnx u . btw Rod is a Rockstar
Kerri Kelli on 2nd guitar is so fckng awesome.
Just like anything é uma pedrada nos tímpanos
Muito foda
Thanks for posting.
I was lucky enough to see this lineup in a small club. His voice alone almost blew the PA
Rod was in a local band here in RVA back in the late 80's-early 90's. My then bf ran sound for a club they played. The music scene was big in Richmond then, but Rod always shone brighter than anyone. The band covered Cult of Personality once and the roof almost caved in. I have a tape of a sound check or demo, icr, of a few of the band's originals. I still listen to it at least once a week.
@@sharonspiller7427 Richmond Virginia? I'm here in Virginia Beach
@@NOMAAM1970 Yep, here in RVA!
@@sharonspiller7427 I saw em in Honolulu in a pool hall. Same lineup. Rod and Kerri Kelli on 2nd guitar. Slash sharing a bottle of Jack w the front row fans. Epic. Only about 60 military dudes and me the only civilian. Best set Ive ever seen in my 59 yrs on this planet. Opening act was female oil wresting. It was a raunchy dive bar. Slash rented out the top flr of a sleazy holiday inn nxt door. Hell of an after party. Cant explain why they did that show but Slash kept raving about the Hawaiian Weed.
@@sharonspiller7427
Yep. Saw them regularly down on Grace Street. Good times!
Great show. I got to see them 1 time. The 2nd time they were opening for AC/DC and they cancelled the day of the show. I was more excited to see Snakepit than AC/DC. Great band land love Rod on the vocals!!!
Que amargo el público ......tremendo tema súper arriba
.......saludos desde Rosario Argentina
I love Slash with the snakepit... Both formation, but It's Five O'clock Somewhere is something else... After Appetite is the Slash's Album that I love the most.... Slash Rules
I like Appetite too but not Five O'clock Somewhere. I used to have the album, didn't work for me. I don't like in particular that type of rock, I guess. From time to time (like now) I'm trying to re-listen to Slash's Snakepit...but my opinion is still the same. They're good but nothing that special to me.
Singer Rod is very, very good. So what happened. Been awhile.
Rod 💪👍👍💞💞💞
Great singer but Eric Dover was better...

CLASS,,,,Singer Kicks,,,,,,,,,,,,Ass,,,👍👍👍
Oh yessssss fuckin good timesssssss
Thank’s man, first time i saw Slash played Shine live!
Sir Saul Hudson always fit and fascinating👍
Can't believe I didn't buy the album at the time, cos the album cover looked lame.
Listened to it years later and was blown away! Shame they only made one and in the noughties. Way ahead of its time!
We need a reunion with Slash and Rod
Life’s sweet drug is stupidly fast live haha
They didn't play it this fast at any other shows I've seen from this tour. Somebody got a little carried away here! haha
yea it all seems a bit amped up, but tite!!!!
Life's Sweet Drug is Literally in my top 5 songs of all time and even though they played it at a million miles an hour they managed to nail it! Think I heard somewhere Slash said it was the hardest song he ever had to play
@@Leeezor sorry to bump in but as a lifelong slash fan im quite sure (according to his book) that the hardest song was Estranged (there was a part that was very hard and could also fail due to tech failure, hard to describe which part but its those long echoing sounds during the silent phase of the song).
@@gyderian9435 fair enough if that's true! I just know I've seen one or two live versions where he's clearly really struggling with it!
Amazing footage. Do you have more of Snakepit? Thanks
40:20 o beijo dos beijos
Amazing
Wow! Que calidad de video se ve muy bien!
Banda foda demais
Only fucking rock n roll
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Rod Jackson's R&B vibe worked very well with Slash blues based rock and roll. Anybody knows what is the lineup? Brian Tichy on the drums?
Matt Laug on drums, Johnny Griparic on bass and Keri Kelli the 2nd guitar.
Are there other projects with Rod Jackson?
@@napulse как выяснишь - расскажешь , ок ? На яндекс музыке когда-то был .. Еще надо Токио 92 рип с лазерного видео диска .

Thought was Lenny kravitz from 90’s
Rod Jackson is the best vocalist slash...
Great! Great! Do you have more Snakepit stuff?
Idk why but I seriously thought the first version of snake pit had duff in it kinda weird not seeing Matt in the first incarnation of snakpit playing live
Everyone realizes that slash was still on drugs up until Sometime in Velvet Revolver they had to cancel shows with Ac/Dc because slash almost died and had to have a pacemaker put in
He got his pacemakers before Velvet Revolver, when he was touring with Michael Jackson.
Maybe it had to be fixed or something around that time I know he had several problems at the time
He had to leave this Snakepit tour in 2000 and it's when he was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, he quit smoking and I think drinking too. That is when the pacemaker went in. In 2001 when he played 2 shows with MJ at MSG september 7 & 10, 2001 he got blasted by the pacemaker which interpreted his spike in heartrate performing as a heart attack and zapped him. Planes hit the WTC the day after the second show and he and his wife had a hard time getting back to LA after that.
This show was shortly after he got the pacemaker. That happened in March 2001.
Weird they didn't play a single song from the 1st album
Thankfully Slash grew out of his crackhead phase
He was drinkin Jack heavily during the Snakepit days. I mean HEAVILY!
22:38 they nearly crashed lol
Slash was drunk as fuck at the Snakepit shows. Bottle of Jack on stage. By the end it would go from full to empty. He shared it w the front row fans. I was one of em.
@@lastwhtknight3002 This show is actually right after he quit booze because he nearly died and had a pacemaker fitted. That was in March 2001 and this show is June. The other members were still drinking heavily though, which is why he ended this band shortly after.
Let's not forget where the song originated from and who the frontman was ppl, actually in my thoughts is,,,, hmmm,,, W. AXL ROSE......Those were the SLAXL years...give credit where credit is due...rip SCOTT WEILAND...Two of Slash's greatest Frontmen.....
What's the very first song from the show? The opening intro tape? sounds cool!
Has the singer got bin bags as trousers ??
Ok older here.. who is the boy? LOL.. Help me understand?
Heroin ruins talented people. He would have made a great VR singer.
They used to perform better than gnr live
still no dont like this tried since back when the snakepit was aboun tried loving or liking it like the stuff he has done with Myles Kennedy although getting tired of myles vocals
yeah I cant stand any of the shit hes done with myles... sounds so fluffy and weak.... the dude used to shoot heroin like wtf happened
I'm also trying to get into Slash's Snakepit music...but this type of rock doesn't work for me. The best album with Slash (out of GNR) for me is Contraband by Velvet Revolver.
@@MLCrow his new shit is awful.... Fuck lenny kravits.... His new albums with myles are so goddamn weak and awful
@@hi_is_this_clorox_bleach I like Appetite for Destruction and something on Use Your Illusion albums by GNR and Contraband by Velvet Revolver but not much the other music Slash was or is involved in (with the exception of few songs).
@@MLCrow i feel that spot on.
Total crap
