My father passed away a little over a week ago. He got into a mid air collision with another crop duster. This song brings me to tears thinking about him. RIP dad Edit: this was one of his favorite movies of all time
My Grandfather flew over Berlin and was flying planes on D-day. He actually got in the paper, because he shot down the most planes in his squad. I have the cut out of the article. "Small town Wisconsin boy shots down most in his squad." That was in the local paper that day. This song makes me think of him. 1916-2015
In the movie president, Roosevelt says: "We've been trained to think we're invincible. And now our proudest ships have been destroyed by an enemy we considered inferior". And that is so much true but America forgot that again. You should not think you're the greatest because you can bleed too. We have seen it at pearl harbor and on 9/11. When will you begin to see that being proud of actions in wars is not the right way? The Japanese general in the movie says something wise you should learn: "A brilliant man would find a way not to fight a war". Greetings from a German
+Webbs What a Nation we were just 50-60 years ago, what happened to us... God help us when we have another war... really we won't stand a chance, with many of our hard left Anti-American Youth..... And youth (being a young person myself) crying over "safe spaces in college" - Good Lord, and God Help Us!!
My dad died January and it was a very hard time for me and my family, and this song touches my heart so deeply i could cry. RIP to all Soldiers 😢 Should be peace on the whole world
It's because of all the historical inaccuracies and the heavy romantic subplot that audiences think is what makes the film terrible. But despite all that, many people think otherwise and see the action scenes as what actually happened and my opinion of this movie is in between. I think this score would make a great choice for a story like Grave of the Fireflies, if it were told from the American's perspective. Seeing what the pilots of the XXI Bomber Command did to Akiyuki Nosaka (Seita) and his sister would only make them realize how wrong war is.
Jake Rutigliano I don't think this would fit a film like Grave of the Fireflies very well. Granted, I haven't watched Pearl Harbor, but I have heard its a bad movie.
I don't think it's a bad movie at all. It's only a bad movie if you watch it expecting it to be action packed and mainly about the war.. The director himself said that it was first and foremost a love story not a movie about war. It's way different from any other war movie that's why I think some people hate it, because they watch it expecting to watch a movie about war, it's not.
schoonya14 Then they should have renamed the movie to something else, and not have allocated a lot of time for the air raid on Pearl harbor, and the subsequent bombing of Tokyo. These two themes don't go together. Romance doesn't belong in war films.
If you have headphones, close your eyes and listen at 2:20, there is this very faint but beautiful violin plucking that does a small upwards riff, it is incredible detail

This movie has 6.2 on imdb, I remember the time it was like 5.4 or something. This movie is criminally underrated and is not in the league it's suppose to be.
Adolf Hitler’s Cousin Doug japan attacked american MILITARY. america attacked japanese CIVILIANS. Theres a huge difference. Yes, pearl harbour was a sneak attack and they had no right to attack, but the difference in magnitude between the 2, makes the pearl harbour attack seem like nothing
The scene where Danny and Evenlyn are flying in the sunset with this music playing and their kiss afterwards is one of the most beautiful love scenes I've ever seen
Oh my God! This is beyond emotional. At first when I heard this song I was like, "This must be Hans Zimmer!" and I was right! This man surely knows how to make people cry. I have never watched the movie but I already got the idea of what it is about. I am so in love with this song especially towards the end when the soprano comes in to end the song... He shot his own planes down? I assume you didn't mean to say his squad
My grandfather was 101st airborne. Makes you wonder if they ever randomly crossed paths..Godspeed man
In the movie president, Roosevelt says: "We've been trained to think we're invincible.
Must be amazing to be proud of your relative murdering people in a foreign country. Sounds very American.
If you can't feel the emotion of this music then I don't know what kind of person you are.
I haven't watched the movie and this song is so emotional for me.
This composition gives me creeps. Makes my soul expressed in nothing but tears. I love it. Thank you Hans Zimmer ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm watching this on a night where I am at peace. No loose ends, no more or ever to prove, just experiencing life to the best of enjoyment.
Hans Zimmer is a gift from God I hope he knows it x
elisa pateman I agree with all my heart..
All humans are a gift of god.
This is the best melody i ever heard in my entire life, reminds me of the snow is falling slowly to the ground.
Beautiful, uplifting music. The most human ending ever!
I remember when I first heard this when I was a kid… still hits me in the right spot
I cry at this everytime
me too!
I´ve never seen this film yet and it makes me wanna cry too :)
***** The film is actually average according to the critics but the music and some scenes are worthy!
M8, America stinks of beareachcey.
My dad died January and it was a very hard time for me and my family, and this song touches my heart so deeply i could cry.
RIP to all Soldiers 😢
Should be peace on the whole world
Bro :'( things will get better
+iwheelz why your dad died?

+iWheelz May his soul be at peace...
Ein echt Klasse Film,möchte ihn in meinem Leben nicht mehr Vermissen und die Musik von Hans Zimmer ist echt der Wahnsinn 🥰🥰🥰ich hoffe er lebt ewig
This movie and this piece of music will always have place in my heart...
I don't understand how people think this movie is terrible.
Perhaps the only Michael Bay film that I liked
schoonya14 Then they should have renamed the movie to something else, and not have allocated a lot of time for the air raid on Pearl harbor, and the subsequent bombing of Tokyo. These two themes don't go together. Romance doesn't belong in war films.
I wanna live in a world with no wars, please.
Live with no humans people so
Camila Moroy its the religion and race that makes wars literally if you have religion and race, then war, war will never leave you
Ah to bad, but there's hope, Marines jut gotta lose the orders and bomb those terrorist no matter what, isn't ending war good?
War is the dark side of human nature , LOVE each other and fight for your peace each and every day !!
+Daniel Prado define good , Can YOU ?! peace is not war , good is not evil , do u SEE it Now?! :)
If you have headphones, close your eyes and listen at 2:20, there is this very faint but beautiful violin plucking that does a small upwards riff, it is incredible detail
Hans Zimmer...
Um gênio!!!
I literally cry whenever I watch this movie or listen to this song rip to everyone that died December 7th 1941. I salute you 😭👥

When life is flashing right before your eyes....this is the perfect theme song.
My son’s grandfather served in the Korean War aboard a gearing class destroyer USS Norris DDE-859. He is still alive today. His daughter always enjoys it when I come over to visit him and his wife. Hearing this soundtrack just makes me tear up as I know he is nearing the end of his long and healthy life. He still has a few more years to go, but damn, this soundtrack makes me tear up. *IN HONOR OF THOSE WHO SERVED*
*IN HONOR OF THOSE WHO SERVED ABOARD USS NORRIS DDE-859*
Whenever I hear this song I feel happy, overwhelmed and sad at the same time, it's simply indescribable what this song triggers in me
I am serving Pakistan army as Captain. Its been 3 years i am fighting talibans, I watched my friends die in front of my eyes their faces keep coming into my mind and this track finally made me cry.
Your friends never died, sir. They've started their blissful eternal life.Though the bereavement of parting is excruciating, no one can deny that. I speak on the behalf of our nation, that in life and death, you're our heroes, to whom we can never be thankful enough. God bless you, your family and friends.
#PakArmyZindabad
#PakistanPaindabad
+Slemkub 2244 they are dead... stop talking bullshit like that. death is a part of our life.

Same here
Watch Interstellar. You don't know what crying is until you've seen Interstellar the first time
I take it you have never seen 'The Champ' with John Voight?
+PlutoniumPizza it is good, but you must watch "Saving Private Ryan" !!!!
+pigkillerz187 your comment is basically the same as telling us all how much of a scared little girl you are. Day one week one psychology mate. Only a person who has no confidence in their own sexuality and manhood would say what you just said. No point in even trying to argue with me. Speak to a shrink mate and God bless you. Must be difficult been you!
Hans Zimmer is such a genius I can't decide which music made by him is the best coz every music by him is the best ❤
Me too.. try Vangelis, conquest of paradise, or Cançao do Mar by Dulce Pontes
Согласна с Вами полностью ❤
И я всегда плачу😢
ein wahres Meisterwerk 👍 ganz großes Dankeschön an Hans Zimmer
Verbeuge mich auch!

i thought im the only one who think titanic and pearl harbor songs are the saddest :'(
💔
After six years iam crying again . Ist i saw this movie in 2014 it makes me cry and iam remembering all my loved one who left me.
This movie has 6.2 on imdb, I remember the time it was like 5.4 or something. This movie is criminally underrated and is not in the league it's suppose to be.
2021 y la sigo escuchando es impresionante!!
Pearl Harbor Never Forget
Loner Stoner Hiroshima and Nagasaki never forget
_cyr3x_ one was war. The other was terrorism
That German Guy Again The 2nd Bomb shouldn't have even been dropped. Japan should've surrendered after the 1st. Why wouldn't ONE be enough?
Ryan Blanche japan was on the verge of defeat anyways. She had nothing left to fight with. The 2nd dropping was not needed 100%
Hans Zimmer is a genius !
The power of real music just hits different
This macks me think about my great grampa that has passed away 😭😭 everyone thank him for his serves 🙏🙏
Tears all the way! So in love with Hans...
Ahora que lo dices, sera algo bueno tener ese don para dominar los sentimientos de las personas? Porque yo lo tengo, puedo hacer que la gente no me pueda odiar
Hans Zimmer & James Hornet is like finding the difference between day and night. Ever best duos ever had in film industry.
It's 2024 and just found out this song was made by Hans Zimmer. What an amazing composer.
Hans Zimmer, you are an incredible composer! Your music makes me go through so many emotions. ❤️
This piece of music is so beautiful.
Oh oui !
Es la conexión con la DIVINUS somos eso todo en UNO , amor a todo dios
This song is so touching to the heart, I don’t know how it does it. I know it’s not true, and I can’t explain why, but this song makes me feel like i have lived other lives before and this song describes the aggregation of every feeling and experience I have ever had either good or bad and all at once , which gives me total peace and calmness.
This song will forever being tears to my eyes, my dad died on Christmas day 2013, I add watched pearl harbor on the 24th, so this is the last movie I have ever seen with my dad , and this music is so touching and sad. I wanna be the dad that he was for my 2 son's
🥺😭
Boy do I love Hans Zimmer. He's a music magician! I saw him in a concert where they played his music. Wow! I was crying the whole time!
ANOTHER HEARTWARMING MUSIC OF HANS ZIMMER. WOW, BEAUTIFUL, SOOTHING AND SERENE.
Hans Zimmer was a magician. I love that movie and it's music, I still watch it about once monthly. 'I just wanna know why, why? Rafe, I'm pregnant'. I didn't know until the day you returned.
They gave this movie a lot of grief. I loved everything about it, the music, the acting, the themes. It felt like it caught a lot of the feelings and emotions of the time.
I know this is several year later but I listen to this at least 10 times a day and cry over it every single time 😞 this is such a good song and my heart goes out to anyone that died from Pearl Harbor and/or lost a family member/ friend from this 🙏❤️
What about the countless THOUSANDS of civilians the US killed indiscriminately during the war?
@@TEHSTONEDPUMPKIN all of that happened after the pearl harbour incident..US never interfered in the war by itself...they were provoked everytime
