Thrash metal bands used to hate Glam...for them "Glam" meant "Gay L.A. Metal"...it was a derogative way to refer to that style, but thrashers have also admitted that everything was pure competition because for them was much harder to get a record deal and get girls...anyway, Metallica SUCKS nowadays.

The glitz and glam of the hair metal of the 80s, as much as i love it aswell, was overdone and just a trend that faded out. Real rock will always live on.

Music companies are just arms of the same companies that make movies and television.
@TapesnCartridges Grunge brought attitude and real love for making music (not just pose and girls), that's why destroyed the sick-to-death metal scene of late 80s. I was there and the feeling was fresh air (RHCP and JA were paving the way before Nirvana). We grow tired of seeing shit bands with 2 chords and making lots of money while we were poor and without a chance.
