It happens against bosses heaviest attacks with a shield up. Not sure if the stamina has to reach 0, but it was already known 🤗🥰

That animation is from back in DS1. It happens when you block some really heavy attacks

This is in all the souls games, it happens often to me when blocking massive attacks with a medium sheild and sometimes a greatsheild.

I have known this. It happens most often when I am blocking a heavy stun/knockback type attack from a boss. That explosion from the Millwood Greatbow happens to count.
