Which part of your body positioning do you need to work on???
My wrists! I called it was about body positions!
My arms and legs angles, also is there a way of directly contacting you? (Its about buying parts online *mainly restyle plastic kits*)
All of it...
standing
All of them
I learnt how to ride a motorcycle (not a dirtbike) when I was a little girl. Then 40 years passed and I decided to try dirt biking (Honda CRF 230). It's been amazing! yet I have so much to learn. These videos have helped me enormously. Such little details make such great difference. The explanation and the images makes it so easy to understand. Good job!
These videos are great. I’ve only been riding a few years and I’m always trying to get better. It’s so hard to remember all these things while riding and I find myself going to bad habits because it just feels easier. I just gotta keep practicing I guess
I’m calling you Dr. Livesay cuz you’re like a surgeon when you explain things and operate a bike!! Great teaching videos!!
Thanks Dr!! 😉
I'm 31 years old and I've only been riding a few years. I'm lucky to have a small area with a sort of natural track right beside my house to practice on. I go there every day after watching these videos to improve my riding. Thanks so much and cheers from Alberta Canada.
I started at 31! :D
PROPER BODY POSITION is "EVERYTHING"...Excellent training vid Thx!
Love these “How to drive a dirt bike like a pro” tutorials. Greatings from a Crf 250 R 2005 newbie raider.
Please don't tell me you say drive. "Ayo bro let's go drive in the trails" People are definitely gonna look at you crooked.
@@MigiD-dv9bf 💀💀💀
Thank you so much for the comments about positioning when cornering. I've heard people say to stay in line, and also heard people say to get outside and weight on the outside peg. Nice to hear the reasoning behind using one or the other.
Great video on body positioning. It had so many great tips that I watched it twice. Please continue to do more videos like this one.
Thank you again and again, really best content. Respect for Tyler and MX Factory team.
Been riding my whole life. Learning more in each of your videos than all of that riding... Really appreciate all you guys are doing. Merry Christmas
Last time I was on the track I squeeze the bike with my knees while standing and riding ...I could feel that bike dancing... finally got used to it now I understand..thanks
I've always found my position a little off, rhis video helped to get it where it needs to be.
I needed this one, thanks Tyler!
Truly the best video I've seen on this. Thank you so much as I've gotten a LOT of bad advice over the years.
Thank you so much guy! Keep it up and never stop! Merry Christmas!
Merry (almost) Christmas MXF crew.
Awesome video. Been riding for a while, and wish I knew some of these tips a while back. Looking forward to practicing!
i am new to riding in the dirt and offroad and this video made me a lot better rider. thank you!
Thanks a lot for explaining it in such a detailed and easy manner !
I just took up Dirt riding. As of now l know zero about techniques. Will watch your video every day, taking one technique at a time to practice daily.
2 days back l participated in XPulse Dirt bike challenge with bad timings but will do it better next time ,by practicing as per your techniques.
Thanks once again !
Great video! So glad I spent a week with you guys!
Brian, so awesome to meet you and Bri. You’re welcome here anytime !
Can’t wait to try this in a few months when I can ride again🤙🏾
Same
Ohhhh yeaahhhhhh
Thank you, you are brilliant at explaining how to ride a MX bike, fantastic videos 👏👏👏👏👏
I been following your tips and I can ride much, much better my bike... thanks a lot.
Hey guys, I really like your vídeos, they are really easy to understand, greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Great refresher video to pay attention to
Your videos are so good and informative. I really appreciate these videos thank you
Thanks MX Factory.. Now I got more stable riding my klx 150.. Even though I haven't ridden on off road
Do some hard enduro videos
That is on the list!!🤘🏼
Great video. I have watched this video a few times because I have found that I really needed to fix my riding position.
How is your technique right now?
Well explained great tips merry Christmas to you all👍🇬🇧
As a father of a young rider still learning myself. It seems to me there are actually 3 riding positions.
1. sitting
2. standing
3. hovering
I don't think 3 is talked about enough. And I think it's where most riders struggle. It looks like they are sitting but they actually have their butt off the seat slightly. In this case you have a lot more than a slight knee bend but you are technically standing up. This is the position where I see a lot guys get rounded backs or their knees start getting ahead of their ankles. Or they get their arms extended and their heads too far back leading them to be pulled.
You have great informative videos , very good teaching skills. Thanks for sharing
good stuff always learn something new!!
I am a middle aged man with a pit bike, trying to learn, do something I like, the art of motorcycle maintenance, and mx is strict , I feel alive again. so thanks
Great vid - thanks!
What advice do you have for taller riders? I’m 6’3” and I feel like I arch forward way too much in order to get my elbows to 90 degrees in attack position.
Me too I am 5ft 6th grade on a kx85
I would change my bars to something taller the risers too
Bar risers that elevate and place the bar forward make a nice difference
Same and I keep hearing people say stay away from risers.
Gotta bend those knees a bit more buddy.
awesome tips!
Joow MX Factory. I do offroading, Endruo, and practice at motocross circuits in Holland. I want to thank you for all your usefull video's. I'm watching your video's quite a time and I train them with some friends. I notice thath my riding and theirs really improved after drilling myself with your video's. They really help. You are a cool guy men, I love your video's.
I called it! This video was soo helpful
Great tips and video! Many thanks!
Thanks dnut! Appreciate the support!
Thanks a million! From Amsterdam-HOLLAND
❤❤❤ thank you fantastic exclamation point
Thanks for the education.. You guys help me alot when riding a dual sport motorcycle also.. Well, dual sport motorcycle also look like a motocross right.. Now I got the proper body position when riding 😊✌️
This really helps thanks
Awsome info
Heckenz yeah..highly informative.
Awesome video! As usual! Any chance of the second video explaining when is best to seat on the bike when to stand?
I watched this because I ran into my friend riding and I broke his clutch it’s fixed now but I angle my wrist now like you said because both my wrist elbows and arm hurt after that wreck
Merry Christmas and also can y’all do a video on hitting jumps with rutted up faces cause on the east coast it’s sand and the faces are always rutted
Can you do more of these videos
Of course!!👍
That wile turning point ur out side elbow out helps so much
I have been working some of this positions just to help my self get a little better rideing
Thank you
Great video
Gracias amigo
“When you get a new bike” seems like one of the most important. The fact that I walked into a dealer and got a bike and not once was anything asked if I knew the slightest thing about how to ride seems insane. I do. But if I was a new rider I could seriously injure myself
You make it look so easy lol. Winter sucks, I wanna get out and ride!
I’m going into Arenacross in January, and I wanted to know if you guys have any tips. Thanks, love the videos, they’re helping me improve!
Just ride sensibly and have fun!
Great info; thanks. Seems like most of this applies to Singletrack or cross country ADV, too
always nice to refresh :-)
I grew up on dirt bikes but have been riding street bikes (supersports) for most of my adult life. I just recently got back on a dirt bike (03 CR250R). Body position when corning is the exact opposite from one to the other. Same with braking. I came really close to washing out the front wheel numerous times from grabbing a handful of front brakes on my dirtbike.
Unleash the beast 🔥🏁💀
I wish I could remember all of this!
Carmichael and RV have amazing body position, watching vids of them helped.
thanks
Hey man team green I’m getting a kx 85 soon these vids really help thanks man
Dope
Nice!! Good luck🤙🏻
Love to see a video of how to accelerate aggressively while standing and in the attack position... the wrist only bends so far so what's the recommended form?..example exiting a corner of a rough track with some immediate acceleration bumps and you need be standing but also need to be on the gas....good stuff though, thanks in advance!
You are the best bro
You are the best for the support !!
I cleared my first triple this week!
When I jump I have like perfect body position and for some reason once I get in the air I lean back and have my but like an inch from the seat and from the rear fender even though I’m not endoing. It’s just a habit I guess but looks weird
its called defensive jumping
Good stuff
🤙🏻👋💪
From day 1 i have so many technique i learned....
“And…that’s perfect body position.”👍
i recently got a bike in august, and im pretty good overall, i just need to work on getting better. you guys really really help with that. Thank you!! Keep it up...please
im only a few weeks into riding try to learn with good technique so i can just focus on improving my skills later
what about braking and gear changing when you have your feet so far back? how do u transition into the right gear changing position and what position do you go into?
I will try to practice this as soon as it drys out. the only thing is I dont really have the proper place to practice it, but I will try my best.
Don’t forget lever position draw straight line from your levers all the way to your shoulder when crouched keeps arm pump down and wrists from being bent to reach the levers. You may have to point them down a bit.
How about some vids on confidence building !! I can rip through trails. But track riding changes everything. Some of the jumps are overwhelming and or vids for trying to learn (memorize) track. Watching other riders some jumps look easy until I go to do it !! I go nope !!! And end up rolling it
I’m 64, so form seems to be key, whether dirt or mountain biking. Amazing how similar they are.
What about if you got a bike for trail riding would the position be different if the trail was mostly just straight and bumpy
Knees over pegs - thanks. Clicked.
One thing about ur wrists is an u tslk about this alot holding the bike with ur legs an taking some of that pressure off ur hands an wrists...using ur legs to grip the tank seat area requires good lower abs an hip muscle which are an area we dont use in a strength movement too much or even at all....really the hip muscle were the ones i was like dang i think it the first time i used then an boy they wasnt happy
Hi MX you deliver to Australia your merchandise
Im very good in flat corners, rut corners, jumps and over all enduro
Bad at muddy tracks good at dry slippery ones
Suck at whoops and suck at wheelies
Hey you aren't the only one how doesn't like the mud. My front tire went out from underneath me and I banged my right knee up, just now ( was able to make it home).
@@endurogirl1304 i like the mud but not at the track
I like it when its to drift around and get over water and mud in enduros and trails but at the track no way loosing control of the front tire happens quite a lot
Hope you r ok after the fall
@@speedyboi349 I am fine just not able to riding for at least a week. I was riding at my house in va and it snowed the other week, it's still really muddy.
I learned a lesson today, never go riding by yourself when its muddy.
@@endurogirl1304 exactly i had a friend once that used to go enduro alone with no helmet and no gear in general
He was irresponsible until he had a good crash infront of my house
He was drifting his quad and he didn't use proper body position and the back tire gripped in the least expected moment
The quad flipped twice and he flew right into a fence with spikes
He is fine tho the quad got wrecked tho
@@speedyboi349 all I have right now is a helmet. I am trying to earn money so that I can go the body armor.
I started riding a dirt bike a month after Father's Day this year. I grow up riding a four wheeler, still trying to get used to the difference (the four wheeler is an automatic).
Awesome 👌
👍💪🤘🏼
Always
Btw broke my bike's chain in 3rd gear and it clogged in my front sprocket
It stopped so fast that i almost flew
Also my friend broke his starter too💀
@@speedyboi349 that sucks... Hopefully your engine case is good
@@MotoFamMayhem it got a nasty scratch but like i said once before
These chinese bikes are indestructible and i figured oit that the layer of iron there is thicker than a Sam's club giant freezer sausage so it did not break
@@speedyboi349 Hahaha nice 👌
Body position, it makes a lot of differenve when you it finally clikcks for you, it sounds easy but unless you see it or someone told you that it was wrong it will continue.
Im like 6 ft and on a pitbike any tips if my hands are getting sore fast and wrist feels squished
Is there a way you can do, body positions for jumping ? From bottom of slope or jump to landing.
Never learned how to ride a bike, thinking of buying a motocross like a 125 2t or a 250 4t,we have plenty of dirt roads where i live, perfect for dirt bikes,i seriously want to know if its a bad idea or not to learn on those,my father who used to drive bikes until a few years ago and since he was 13-14(Scooters,dirt bikes, sport bikes 700cc-1000cc etc) told me that i should get a smaller older one,a scooter bike thats going to be cheap, learn the fundementals on that one and then buy a dirt bike, thats just to be safe obviously,he told me that im going to fall alot at first and that shouldnt be on a motocross.Keep in mind that im not going to have any gear at first, other than a helmet that is.Pretty much my question is if its ideal to learn how to ride with a motocross on dirt roads, idc if i get scratched or an injury thats not that serious,i am a little concerned though because if i fracture/break a leg bone, 1. I seriously cant have a bike which i will have to wait for months to get back on, 2. My life becomes boring because i wont be able to go out and do things as much.I know the smarter choice is to get a smaller bike but im actually not dumb and wont attempt stupid things straight away,so i really cant decide, give me some advise if possible.
How much does body weight matter? I ask because I weigh 204 so do I have to scoot up as far on the tank in a turn? I’m no pro just trying to get better each time and I feel cornering correct leads to everything else. Thanks
Dude what are u siting on that has conventionsl forks wow..looks nice
I find it really difficult to stand when I’m riding I feel to tall for the bike and like I’m going to go over the handle bars and like I’m not in proper control of the bike maybe I need to change some things on the bike to make it taller or it’s just me doing stuff wrong
Hi guys! I had trouble on mastering the balls of your foot in the footpeg, do you have any advice on how to improve it? I'm not comfortable on riding without my foot on top of the footbrake because it feels like i'm going to fly over them corners😂
My improper body position is what got me out of racing, that is down the ravine, over the bars, over the high side etc. Ouch!
That was a really helpfull tip on rotating the hips so that ur using abs an ur back muscle not one an the other is taking a brake...pauly come here this guys must be a genius or a doc or somethin...oh ur good...definately a genius of some sort....hey can we skip proper body position an just show me how to do whips over the jumps...im not worried about how to use the clutch or the brakes i just wanna look cool an do whippers over the jumps im not worried about stopping or using the brakes..right...jk dont u feel sometimes that question is coming before they even learn to start the bike...jk
make a video for taller riders plz
So early
Do how to faster in ruts
