Hayden Jeffries casting Bobby Garland Itty Bittys on the Barnett

We're out on the Barnett Reservoir in beautiful Ridgeland, MS; casting 1 1/4" Bobby Garland Itty Bit Slab Hunt'R baits over brush piles to sneak up on these spooky summer time crappie. This is part one of a 2 part series to show that even in the "dog days' of summer, under extreme heat advisories (100+ temps) you can still catch crappie!

My favorite (Brad ) is the mud Dabber , monkey milk and junebug chart.
Jig head size depends on the depth of water . Shallow water as light as 1/64 Itty jigheads . I like to tie a larger head it front of the back lighter head.
