Casting Crowns frontman Mark Hall wrote this song for his little girl, Meeka Hope, whom he and his wife Melanie adopted from China in 2010. The Halls were accompanied by the wife of singer-songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman, Mary Beth, on their trip to China to pick up little Meeka. Steven and Mary Beth themselves have three daughters adopted from China, one of whom they later lost in a tragic accident. Mark Hall explained to New Release Tuesday how their introduction to Meeka Hope inspired this song: "We took all our kids and they got to play with their new sister, which was great. But Meeka Hope didn't want me to hold her. Most white men that Chinese orphans see are doctors coming to do surgery on them. She was petrified of me. Only after a tearful session of pouring out my heart to God about Meeka Hope's refusal to come to me did I realize that I often had done the same thing to my Lord. It took several weeks before Meeka Hope warmed up to me, and in the process I came to the realization that I need Jesus way more than his blessings. We are so quick to run to him for what he can do for us. We're so slow just to sit with him and enjoy in his presence, and my crying out to him in China was really a God moment for me."

my handsome and kind uncle, my mum's youngeest brother had struggled for ages, in n our rehabilitation centre by christians, still returned back to his drugs, liviing in addiction. he suddenly died in the house at his 55 years old, when being discovered, his body was solid. Jesus is like others, sometimes mission completed, sometimes failed. juat noone spread the testimonial of failures.
At first I thought this was from us to Jesus. Then in the second verse, it suddenly became clear this was Jesus' perspective. God comes to find us, all we have to do is touch His hand before us. I love God so much for the infinite affections He has placed in each of us proven through Jesus Christ.

I am shocked that I didn't hear this song before and I have known almost every CC song, since they are my favorite band. I started bawling. I couldn't sleep tonight. My daughter is not well and struggling, and I pray that she will come home. Wow. She ran away 4 years ago. Last week we found her at our doorstep. I cherished that she got to be home, even if it was for a couple hours. We wanted her to stay, and get help..for her mental state and her battle with being on drugs. It broke our heart that she left again. We long to have her home for good. She is broken, abandoned by her "friends", and destitute right now. As of right now, I don't know where she is laying her head. (I have a general idea) She wishes to stay that way for now. I pray that she surrender and return to her first love.

You lied once, you are a liar, you stole something you are a thief, you lusted after someone the Bible says you are an adulterous in your heart. And the result of sin is judgement and then eternal damnation. This is what the Bible says, it`s not me making this up. About turning from your sin... Well, it is not hard it is impossible. We, as humans, are incapable of doing that, we are falimentary. Repentance is "deep sorrow, compunction, or contrition for a past sin, wrongdoing, or the like.", that`s the definition, it does not mean that you have to turn from sin before you are saved because it would be IMPOSSIBLE, rather it is a state of the mind that indeed will head you towards turning from your sin but this happens after you are saved and it will be done by God. God prepared our good works for us when we are saved. So for short, repentance happens when you realise: "God, I am a sinner, I`ve sinned against you and I deserve my punishment, please forgive me". That would be repentance. Combined with faith in Jesus it leads to salvation. Repentance and faith lead to salvation and salvation will lead to you turning from sin. Why? Because after you receive salvation sin will be something dirty for you and you will not find pleasure in doing it anymore and if it happens to sin, you will feel a deep sorrow, you will not like it anymore.
God wanted it just like it is. Little businesses gives you your daily bread and milk. This is how I operate. One tenant of ours couldn't pay the rent for a few months. So I suggested moving them for free, cause I had a removal truck. We also paid them to move. Everyone struggles and no one has to be greedy. It was a happy ending for all of us!

I said nothing and she said nothing. Considering I was five when this happened I was amazed. I didn't understand that she was an angel at the time. Well, you need to first understand that even a lie is enough for going to hell:

Anything which is against God is sin. You lied once, you are a liar, you stole something you are a thief, you lusted after someone the Bible says you are an adulterous in your heart.
And the result of sin is judgement and then eternal damnation.
This is what the Bible says, it`s not me making this up.
About turning from your sin... Well, it is not hard it is impossible.
We, as humans, are incapable of doing that, we are falimentary.
Repentance is "deep sorrow, compunction, or contrition for a past sin, wrongdoing, or the like.", that`s the definition, it does not mean that you have to turn from sin before you are saved because it would be IMPOSSIBLE, rather it is a state of the mind that indeed will head you towards turning from your sin but this happens after you are saved and it will be done by God.
God prepared our good works for us when we are saved.
So for short, repentance happens when you realise: "God, I am a sinner, I`ve sinned against you and I deserve my punishment, please forgive me". That would be repentance. Combined with faith in Jesus it leads to salvation.
Repentance and faith lead to salvation and salvation will lead to you turning from sin. Why? Because after you receive salvation sin will be something dirty for you and you will not find pleasure in doing it anymore and if it happens to sin, you will feel a deep sorrow, you will not like it anymore.

This is how I operate. One tenant of ours couldn't pay the rent for a few months. So I suggested moving them for free, cause I had a removal truck. We also paid them to move. Everyone struggles and no one has to be greedy. It was a happy ending for all of us!

Were mostly christians here right? Okay you guys might believe me. I've seen an actual angel! She had no halo no wings and no skin color. She was transparent and giving off a faint glow. I said nothing and she said nothing. Considering I was five when this happened I was amazed. I didn't understand that she was an angel at the time.
