Don't forget how underrated walking can be in your journey. I feel like sometimes the cardio machines require alot of motivation. But walking usually feels like little effort. I started walking in February because of how low impact it is and that it requires almost no recovery. I walk 5 miles a day on my days off from work and I absolutely can't recommend it enough. Its easy and so good for mental health. And doesnt interfere with my strength training, I actually argue it seems to help it.
Great advice x
Excellent advice. I’m a runner but I also just very much enjoy walking outside. I’ve made it a habit to walk on both of my fifteen minute breaks and my lunch break. I usually eat while I’m walking. Which is easy since I mostly eat raw foods until dinner. ☺️ obviously this works for me but won’t work for everyone, it has just helped my mental health so much.
My dad went from 240ish to 200 by walking five miles a day.
Keep it up.
I walk/run to keep weight off as well.
MapMyWalk is a free app that tracks your steps and calories burned. It also works with MyFitnessPal which is a food diary.
Yes long walks can really inspire, refresh, and help you on days where motivation to get to the gym is lacking. It is the best excercise, walk, breath deep, stretch your arms out, do a few lunges, and just keep going... Hmm mayBe I should do that again, I am at my heaviest!! Over 200lbs
Music helps a lot too. I often walk longer if i listen to music or youtube videos talking about random things like movie critics or medical documentaries
There is definitely a culture of shame in our society. Women are shamed for everything. Shamed for being smart, shamed for being beautiful, shamed for not being beautiful enough (according to the standards of society), shamed for wanting a family, shamed for not wanting a family, shamed for wanting a career....I could go on and on. I'm glad you're talking about these tabo topics. Glad I found your channel. It's nice to see a genuine person on youtube. I wish you luck on your journey. I'm on a similar journey myself.
Also, we have the same favorite childhood movie!
Brene Brown's works can help you tackle shame. She is an actual expert on the subject!
Yes, as a woman the feeling of not being enough is tremendous. We have to rewrite our brains. You are awesome and thanks for sharing.
You have such a lovely energy ! I've gained probably 30 lbs in quarantine, after already gaining weight the past few years. I'm restarting tomorrow and you motivate me! You go, girl!!
Aww, thank you for your sweet comment. Girl I am soooooo excited for you!! You have got this! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@AprilLauren Thanks! I'd already lost over 100 pounds but have gained back maybe half of that these past 2 years? depression definitely did not help! But this week has hard but I stuck to the plan, even walked in the hot weather lol You got this too
Hi I've gained 12 pounds from quarantine but on my small frame it looks like 25 pounds before quarantine I had lost 30 pounds so I'm 18 pounds down right now and I'm working on losing now. Sorry for the rant just was happy that someone is in the same boat as me. Lol
ladamaperfecta7, you aren't alone with gaining weight during the quarantine. I've gained 17.
You've got this! I've lost 5 lbs already - mainly in water weight but I feel better!
You deserve more subscribers, honestly your attitude is what we need during 2020
I am a year into my weight loss journey and I have lost 60lbs so far but have alot more to go.
I have been really struggling these last few weeks, I've lost my motivation and will power, and im struggling to get it back. But from watching your Jorney I feel like I have a weight loss buddy and you are inspiring me to carry on and to keep pushing, so for that thank you.
I feel the same! We’re in this together! 💪🏻
Aww, Kat, your comment gave me feels. I wish I could give you a hug! And, I don't like people in personal space. Haha. (That should have been one of my random facts, haha.) Thank you so much for sharing a little of your journey with me and for your sweet and encouraging comments! I am so grateful for you and I am sending positive vibes your way! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I feel the same as you do. I was at 130 last year, now at 200 and am a essential worker, so being locked down is not my issue. But I've lost my motivation. And she is helping me gain it back.
Wow, congrats Kat!! I've got a way to go myself. We can all do this!!
Me too! I feel this. 💜
You are so right - there are so many pressures that society just pours on us. We have to re-write the script, become our best friends and tell ourselves, "You. Are. Enough." Thanks for your video!
Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment!!! ❤️❤️❤️
,you’re almost in the 330’s!!!!! So exciting !!! 🔥
I'm so excited! Thank you so much for the support and encouragement! ❤️❤️❤️
You’re a ray of sunshine...I look forward to your videos!
Aww, thank you so much for your sweet comment! I really appreciate your support and encouragement! ❤️❤️❤️
Random fact : I am 45 years old and have four kids, but am just now learning to live in my own skin with a bit of self compassion and body tolerance. I love watching your journey and know how hard weight/ body image/ negative self talk/ self worth struggles are. I am grateful to call you my friend.
Ahh, TENA! I LOVE YOU! Thanks for sharing random facts! You are the best!
You are such a lovely and beautiful human! And, I know that struggle with self compassion and body tolerance all too well! Thank you for leaving me sweet comments and messages, it really brightens my day and your support means so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Love that.
I'm 45 as well with 2 kids. I had slowly put on weight after my 16 year old was born, and didn't really accept that I needed to do something, and try to improve my situation until 3 years ago - that's a lifetime wasted because I couldn't be bothered, and wanted the excuse to just eat whatever. I'm so glad I've taken responsibility for myself and my choices. In the end, it's all about the choices you make. I hope I have a good influence on my children as they have to make the same decisions for themselves.
In terms of carbs and my experience with eating and weight loss - the most important thing is to build a healthy relationship with food. Restricting food groups will make you want them and can hurt your journey in the long run. You are doing so well and are being so brave sharing your journey, enjoy this process and if your body wants a sweet potato remember that's a healthy carb and good for you. Just focus on building balance and moderation and making this a sustainable life change♥️♥️♥️
I do NOT recommend carb cycling!! It really hurt my relationship with food and caused binge tendencies for me. I found it much more sustainable to just eat carbs in my day to day life and maintain a caloric deficit. If anything, monitor your protein to make sure you have enough and then just make sure you’re in a deficit. Good luck!
Completely agree! Enough protein and a deficit is more than enough to be successful
I agree and to avoid any gimmicky diets. But I don’t think cutting down on certain carbs is bad. I lost over 80 lbs cutting down but not eliminating carbs. I could tell when my body needed a piece of bread and I ate a piece of bread! Lol I never totally restricted myself from anything. I do think there’s better options for some carbs and it’s better to go with those then to completely cut them out. But I do get what she’s saying about feeling bad when She eat carbs and better when she doesn’t. It’s really all about balance.
I definitely could see that happening! The main reason I think I am going to spend August carb cycling is because I want to experiment with carbs. If I do it, I will definitely be journaling about it. I don't think I would do it for always. I much rather do what I am doing, counting calories and eating intuitively macro wise. All of that being said, I appreciate you sharing your experience with me so so much! And your advice. Thank you so much for your sharing part of your story with me and for the support and encouragement! ❤️❤️❤️
Megan S Just cut out the refined carbs. White rice, pasta etc.
This is exactly what I was going to say. Carb cycling sent me into a 8 month binge where I rationalized to a ridiculous level. I started my new weight loss journey in January. I am eating more protein and maintaining a caloric deficit. I have lost 23lbs and I feel great. Most importantly I never feel like I am going hungry, I think that is because of the extra protein but I am not a scientist. Lol. I am so glad I found your videos. I really appreciate your openness and honesty when you share what you are going through. You are not alone. Keep going. We are cheering for you!
And a dog lover too! Just when I thought I couldn’t relate or love this girl any more...!! Very cute doggies btw. They’re going to be over the moon with all the extra walkies you’ll be doing with the new walking exercise regime! Seeing my pups excitement, being outdoors in the fresh air and the endorphins from the exercise make my dog walks one of my favourite things. I often end up out much more often for much longer than planned, but there’s nothing wrong with that, right?! I find it’s the best for blowing those dark clouds away if a little depression threatens to settle in. Happy happy exercise 😁 I wish the same happiness for you and your puppies!
Bunches of love to you all xx
Random facts about myself
1. On my 9th birthday the Australian prime minister of that time sung me happy birthday (im from Australia)
2. I lived in the same house for the first 18 years of my life.
3. My initials are the first three letters of my name: Megan Elizabeth Glacken.
4. I'm dyslexic
Omg! Hi, I’m dyslexic too!!!
You seem like such a sweetheart! I've struggled to lose the same 20 or so pounds for years, love your videos.
Aww, thanks for sharing a little of your story with me Meredith! And thank you for your sweet comment and encouragement! ❤️❤️❤️
same except 30 lbs :/ just keep yo yo ing back and forth
I also am from MO and have started a weight loss journey. Best of luck to you!! You can do it!!!
Personally for me Intermittent Fasting or just extended fasting has done wonders. I have a very hard time following diets and curbing cravings. But with lowered insulin and carb cravings my life has just gotten easier. I also have more time to do other things. And when I eat I either eat just whatever I want or try to stay low carb. But my body physically refuses to eat sugar or a lot of carbs because it shifts to ketosis and all. Just my $0.02 ... You are doing so great and we are all proud of you.
a K IF has worked for me as well.
IF worked for me too. I've been trying to lose weight for the last 110 days and only really have seen results in the last 3 weeks since I started IF.
Random fast days actually can help with immune health. Not starving self just a day or 2 out of a 7 day period of some for of fast. Could even be. A liquid diet fast
April - I just came across your videos today. I have honestly laughed out loud a few times while watching and at other times had tears in my eyes because of how beautiful of a soul you are. Shame and low self esteem have been a part of my life since I can remember. I also understand about waiting to do specific things until I've lost a little more weight or when I won't be embarrassed to be seen doing whatever I've put off in front of people. I love your sparkle and your positive attitude. Thank you for putting yourself out there for all of us that feel exactly the same way and have experienced similar things. Most of us are quiet about feeling this way and just having someone speak out to us the way you do makes me feel that at least one other person in the world understands how I'm feeling. Thank you - Thank you - Thank you! Love you and keep up the awesome work! You're doing great!
I love Land Before Time too! This quote from Littlefoot’s mom has gotten me through a lot of tough times in life... “Let your heart guide you it whispers so listen closely.”
Wow! That quote! I always remember the funny parts, that's line is gold! ❤️❤️❤️
I lost 110lb about 6 years ago and then life happened to me too. I struggle with depression and anxiety as well. I've gained 80lb back since switching jobs and getting married so I can totally relate to your journey. I'm also in the process of trying to lose weight and get healthy. I just came across you and your beautiful smile tonight and was immediately inspired by you and your positivity. I'm excited to follow you on your journey. Keep up the good work April!
My strength coach is a kinesiologist. She and I talk about training people with different needs. Whilst I commend you for jump roping, it’s INCREDIBLY hard on the joints, especially at your weight. You’re risking injury. The cycling was perfect! Swimming is also great
I appreciate your concern and that you would take the time to share your opinion with me. My orthopedic surgeon (I always check with him when I change my routines because of my knee) recommended it as it helps promote more stable ankles and when done properly is not bad for the joints. That being said, should I feel even the slightest pain in my joints... I won't be doing it anymore.
I am so grateful that you commented and that you care! It means so much to me! ♥️ Thank you so much for the encouragement and support!! ♥️💪🏼
I'm so glad you replied with the advice of your orthopedic surgeon! I have the weakest ankles ever, I actually fell last week while walking downstairs because my ankle just rolled over on itself. I'll have to incorporate jumping rope into my routine
@@laurentracy6282 Hi Lauren! :) I am so sorry to hear about your ankle! I have hypermobile joints, especially my ankles. I just wanted to mention, that it might be worth it to check with your doctor before jumping rope. I don't want what my doctor told me to get you hurt. (Not that it would, but just in case.) You've got this though Lauren! I am rooting for you!!
I will have to agree with the op on this one. Im not even overwheight and I can honestly say that JR is extremely taxing on the joints. I cant do it daily and the risk for injury is high. Youre better off power walking or walking up stairs at a moderate pace.
Hi - the girl’s smashing it with a skipping rope! I think it’s important we listen to our own bodies, certain exercises won’t suit everyone, but if April is finding it helpful and isn’t having any issues, maybe her technique combined with her own personal body type is what gives her the capability to jump rope with minimal risk. I’m all for it, and while I’m not saying it’s right for everyone, with the advice April has from her doctor and the benefits she’s experiencing, I’d be inclined to back what she feels is right for her. She’s a smart cookie so I think she’d reassess if she had concerns 😊
You’re so fun and bubbly! Such an inspiration. Omg when you talked about carpet lines I felt that in my heart! It’s the best feeling ever haha
Hahahah, I LOVE your comment! Made me smile! Those carpet lines get me every time too! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh my gosh! The Land Before Time is my 20 year old daughter's second favorite movie from her childhood... trailing just shy behind Spirit!
monsyd913 I love Spirit too! :)
Lost 75 pounds and then gained 35 back during this pandemic. I am struggling big time. Depression and anxiety has hit me hard. Planned on starting anew tomorrow and ran across your channel and videos. It is the motivation that I need. Thanks for being you and sharing your journey.
I feel so much better when I’m on low carb and ketosis. The only thing I can’t stand about being low carb is I end up craving so much sugary foods and when I finally eat them I realize how much that food doesn’t even taste good enough to have a cheat meal. Trying to lose weight is the worst.
Thanks so much for sharing a little about your experience with me Isabella!! Losing weight is the worst! Haha. ❤️❤️❤️
Girls, you should try carnivore
Cravings should go away in a few weeks.
@@ibelitzezambrano Keto is the first step to carnivore, lol! I lost 45 lbs and needed to lose a few more and went full carnivore to do it.
Hi April, I'm going to be honest with you. I didn't want to like your channel.(I'm a weirdo I know, that's just how I start out with anyone... definitely a toxic trait of mine.) But wow I just love you and your beautifully positive attitude, you radiate goodness and you are a gem to watch. I myself have 100lbs to lose and I often get discouraged and fall off the wagon. I feel so inspired watching your channel and to just see how authentic and real you are about your journey. I wish you luck and all good things with your journey!😊
Thanks so much for writing your comment, it made me smile. Thank you so much for your kind words and the encouragement!! I am sending positives your way and rooting for you!!
April, I think your comments about being enough are so true. I am 61 next month. I am in the last season of life. I think I am becoming more comfortable with who I am now. I am still struggling with weightloss, but I am working at it, and am proud of my efforts.
Keep going, girl. You are inspiring me.
I don't know if you will ever see this comment, but I have just binged SO MANY of your videos. I have never connected with someone (even if it's just one-sided, lol) so strongly on their weight loss journey. Our stories have so many similarities. You have such a sweet voice, and a sweet spirit and you are so joyful to watch. Thank you for making your videos and sharing your journey. I am feeling my inspiration for my own journey spark back up. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I have the loudest laugh. You and I must be realated . I adore your personality.
I LOVE loud infectious laughs! Those are the best! Thank you so much for your sweet comment!
Hey April! Your video was recommended to me today and I’m so glad it was because you seem like the sweetest person and you have motivated me to keep going on my journey! ❤️
Aww, thank you so much Bridgit! Your comment made me smile! ♥️
April I love watching your videos you’re so positive and have such a warm and kind aura, you seem like a person I’d love to hang out with in real life. Thank you for making health & fitness videos that are fun to watch and leave me in a positive mood the entire day
I love the name April 😊 It reminds me of a line from a beautiful opera La Boheme “I have the first kiss of April” when you feel the first warm rays of spring. Keep going girl! You’re doing great 👍
I start laughing hysterically when I’m really anxious or nervous. It’s a defense mechanism & how my body deals with an unwanted emotion. It happened once in my nursing class omg so embarrassing lol but usually ppl understand ❤️
Omg! I love the carpet and lawn lines too!!!
Love your positive energy! Currently, I am working on my quarantine weight I gained.
Aww, thanks so much Jennifer!! Technically... now that I think about it... I am working on Quarantine weight too, haha. Stinking Quarantine weight! But then, I have to deal with all the rest of it too. Haha.❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love doing laundry because it smells so good.
I keep rewatching your videos bc it gives me good vibes honestly 💛💛
Thank you for your very articulate thoughts! They genuinely help!
I love how positive and happy you always are! 🙂 Such a delight to watch... loved this video
Aww, Thanks Heather!! Your comment made me smile! Thank you so much for the support and encouragement! ❤️❤️❤️

You look so cute with the high pony tail!
Aww, thank you!! :)
Agree!!
You go girl! Fellow weight loss journey taker here - I started 2 weeks ago at 265 lbs- I am already at 255 at my weigh-in this week (probably mostly water weight, but who cares - I am so excited! I set my goal to go 100 lbs down in 1 year! You are a wonderful human being and I support you wholeheartedly - let's see those extra pounds dissapear! Woot woot!
I absolutely adore you. You keep me motivated on my own journey. You are wonderful. Thank you! ❤️
I discovered your channel last night. You are a delight. I, too, am on a weigh loss journey. When I was a kid, I was obsessed with Donny Osmond :) Best wishes on your journey.
Hi Lisa! Aww, I am so glad you did! Thank you for sharing a little of your story with me! Donny Osmond! That made me smile! Sending you positive vibes too!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Unique about me is I'm an artist and creative. I'm horrible at math and directions. I agree that society puts too much pressure on women to look a certain way. It's hard just to accept yourself but as i've gotten older it's gotten easier.
I totally agree with it getting easier as I've gotten older. I just hope by saying it, it may help others too. And, saying it out loud makes it more real. It is okay for us to be where we are and enjoy life at the same time. I also think it is okay to come to terms with unhealthy lifestyle choices, make better choices and still enjoy life on the journey!! I LOVED reading your random facts! It made me so happy that you shared. Math is not my favorite either!! I Loe that you are an artist! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So glad I found this channel! I'm just starting my journey and you're so fun and encouraging it's refreshing to watch. I'm rooting for us!
Appreciate all of your candor! So glad I found your channel :)
Never done carb cycling and never will. personally i dont restrict carbs or at least healthy carbs. i do what works for my body and eat as much fruits or vegetables, nuts and grains as i want and i still lose weight every week. i just dont eat processed foods nor really listen to what anyone else tells me or recommends i do,i know my body and know what works. follow what works for you and try what u want to try because u dont know what works til u do, ur body and mind will tell u if its right for u or not.dont let anyone make u feel like ur doing it wrong they dont know u or ur body. all the best with ur journey ur doing great :)
Thank you so much for commenting! I really enjoyed reading your perspective and am grateful that you would take the time to share your opinion with me. I agree about eating healthy carbs! I love that you are doing what is best for you and you are getting results every week!!! :) I LOVED your advice about getting to know my body!! Your comment means so much to me! ♥️ Thank you so much for the encouragement and support!! ♥️💪🏼
Well done girl! I have PCOS and PMDD, went through 7 years of infertility... And weight loss is soooooo hard! But I think I e finally cracked it. I've lost 23lb in the last 7 weeks. I still have about 30 to go. Documenting my progress on you tube too because I know if noone is holding me accountable then I would just give up. All the best of luck to you Lady. ❤️

@@AprilLauren thank you April ❤️
👏🏻awesome work!! I absolutely love your dedication and work ethic. Thanks for sharing your journey!
You are one of the bravest and openly vulnerable people I’ve seen on CZcams.
You're killing it! Great job!
Thank you so much Gina for the support and encouragement! ❤️❤️❤️
Vacuuming is good exercise. I also like to go to Walmart or Costco when I’m not hungry and walk up and down the isles and look at everything for exercise.
Love your positivity and honesty! Thanks for sharing your journey, it's so motivating for me!
Girl, you are such an encouraging person to me right now. I'm in the battle against my weight and I honestly don't have motivation at all. You have really boosted my motivation a ton! But I still need those 60 lbs to go!
It doesn’t matter how many carbs you eat, the only thing that is proven to work is calories in calories out. Just stay in a calorie deficit and you’ll be there in no time 😊 best of luck!
Very true!
Well the calorie thing is true, but carbs affect hormones which control the body’s storage and hunger, AKA metabolism.
@@bunnybaker2289 No reputable dietetic organization would ever reccomend a diet void of carbs or low in carbs for weight loss. This is routinely touted as unnecessary. You should aim for a balnaced diet that isn't excessive in calories to lose weight. It all comes back to calories not carbs.
My dad used to make us vacuum again if the lines weren't straight. Now it is a must for me lol.
Land Before Time!! Used to rent it all the time, until my mom finally bought me the VHS 😀
Hahaha, that will totally be me as a parent!! I love that you used to watch it too! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@AprilLauren Im an early 80s baby...of course I watched it 😊
You are doing amazing! I am so excited to see your growth and see you hit goals. You’re doing amazing and remember you’re enough! Keep up the great work and content.
I just found your channel today ,
And now I am a subscriber. you are an inspiration ! it’s so nice to see a real person you are a breath of fresh air!🌷
I so relate to this feeling not enough. I struggle with this too. I struggle with feeling like there is always some way I could be better or do better. I struggle with feeling like I'm never good enough. I don't know how to fully accept this. I lost 50 pounds last year and still have the same exact self esteem. I'm not sure how to change that.
Thank you so much for trusting me enough to share a little of your story with me! Maybe it just takes time. And maybe consider alternate perspectives or catching an attitude with the own voice inside your head... like when the negative voice tells you you could be better or do better... agree with it... and tell it to so it down and be quiet cuz you're working on it. I mean really because we are all human, so we can all always be better and do better... if we let it, that little devil in our minds will use our humanity to pull us down. We've got put that devil baby in the corner! Haha. I hope my little ramble makes sense. I am rooting for you and sending positive vibes your way! ♥️💪🏼
This girl is vacuuming and her hair is down but it stay put. Me, I do any random thing with my hair down and five minutes in I look like I just walked through a tornado with my hair all over the place.
How do you keep your hair so well-behaved?
Honestly same! From what I’ve read online, using hair serum or hairspray should help. Still have to test it though
@@so-original254 I am imploring April to make a hair care video. Pleeeease.pretty pretty please.
Good for you. You are doing great. Keep up the positive vibe you put out there. It is appreciated.
I am loving your videos and your positivity makes me just want to cry tears of joy! I stumbled across your videos and I'm hooked! I am also on a weight loss journey and your positivity and motivation are rubbing off on me. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. Keep up the great work, Gorgeous!
You must be a Pisces. We will laugh or smile at the wrong times. Even during an argument. Even when it's a serious thing. Its just spontaneous. We have no control over it.
I am a Pisces, too. Sometimes I feel like I have no filter and say things I would realize as dumb/embarrassing ans regret later on. Is that a Pisces thing, or just me?
I am so in love with your channel. Thank you for taking the time to make quality videos.
I am so glad you have decided not to eat on camera. Mukbangs have the potential, imo, to sabotage weight loss.
Your makeup looks great. So pretty.
I always record more than makes the video, and I talked for like three minutes straight about how weird it is to eat on camera! hahah. While I can't say with 100 percent certainty, I can say it with 99.8 percent certainty I will never do a mukbang. They kind of my make my stomach turn. I really can't handle smacking and it is natural to smack while eating... so I can't. Hahahah. Thank you so much for your sweet comments about my channel and make up! They made me smile! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You sincerity and genuine zest for life hits me right in the heart, I'm so glad I found your videos
I love how you divide doing chores and sharing your journey with us. Great video. ❤
Random fact about me: I want to hatch ducks for a living. For reals.
About me: 1. I am adopted. 2. I barely have any body hair.
I am very jealous that you barely have body hair! Hahaha. Thanks so much for sharing some random things about you! I love that you did!
@@AprilLauren I use to not have any eyebrows at all. he he
You are such a sweetie. Great work. I think your experience is resonating with a lot of people. Thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing with others.
You are spot on! With you description of not being or feeling enough or invisible.
Found you two days ago. Thought, not another one! Kept watching and absolutely started liking you more each video. You motivate me, girl! It takes guts to show your all. Looking forward to keeping up with your journey. You go girl!!
You're so inspiring! Thank you for sharing with us. ❤
I love the positivety. Keep up all the hard work you are doing great!
You go girl! Love watching your videos. I'm also on a weight loss journey as well and you give me some some added motivation with your positive attitude!
I totally agree about the shame. I struggle with eating disorders and feel shame quite often. Losing weight is hard no matter what weight you are at and I’m so glad that your journey is positive. I loved meeting you; bright, happy, silly, beautiful April Lauren. 😊
Thank you for sharing things about yourself and providing such a positive message about self-worth. It's funny--I'm obviously here to follow your journey, but I always have to smile because you look like one of my good friends. It makes watching your videos even more comfortable.
GIRL- you’re SO beautiful! Your positive energy radiates off the screen and brightens my day. It’s so good that you’re exploring what food choice work for you- I’ve tried carb cycling and it’s great! Keep up the good work, you got this! 💪🏻❤️
I have been struggling to get onto the weight loss journey for some time now. I need to loose at least 30kg and I keep finding excuses for why "not now" or "this is not a good time" or "next week". Seeing you just going for it, working through the struggle I have just gave me the inspiration for "I can do it too!" I am three days in and I am glad you are here to talk about the hard and uncomfortable stuff to make us without the confidence feel less alone!
I love your energy! It'll take you far in your journey. Keep going and never give up!
You’re inspiring. I’ve walked the last 4 days and did yoga today. I already feel better and I love watching your videos and seeing you’re smiling face. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
Hey April,
I must say I really hope you succeed in your weight loss journey!
I'm a viewer from Germany and have just found your videos.
I also struggle with my relationship with food, although I'm at a healthy weight I have serious body image problems. I really admire your positivity and hope I can incorperate some of it into my journey to loving my body more.
Never give up, you're doing amazing!
You are probably the sweetest person I have ever come across. You are precious and this world needs more people like you ❤ 💗
You encourage me to keep going when I want to give up. Mindset is everything and healthy friends/family to be around is SO important. You’re enough to achieve the goals you want. Great work!!
Hi April! I'm a new follower and also a military wife. I just want to thank you for the support you've given to your husband in his career. And thank you for doing this videos, your voice is so soothing and you explain everything so well. I'm not in the same journey as you but I do struggle with food and body image. Thank you for sharing your journey. 💜
April, you are beautiful inside and out! Your smile made me smile :) Thank you for bringing us your joy and inspiring words!
I love your channel ! I’m so proud of you !😊💕
I am rooting for you so hard! You are in such a good headspace for this journey - aside from just being a delight to watch. I’m working on my standard lifelong yo-yo of 25lbs, but this time without fad dieting, trying to focus on my triggers and working on eating intentionally instead of mindlessly. And also on accepting and embracing minor setbacks without dumping the whole mission. Very excited to have found your channel - cheering you on every step of the way. You’ve got this!!!
You are adorable 😍 I love your videos... You're doing such a great job!!! Keep up the HARD work 💪 you are so inspiring!
So I have lost 70lbs in a span of a year. As of this month actually it's been a full year! The worst weight loss for me was losing the last 5-10 lbs and I swear it's never been harder. I love seeing how positive you are and I should be proud of the 70lbs I lost instead of focusing so hard on the 5 more I want to lose. You are amazing!
This is such a compassionate amazing video. Thank you for all of it but definitely the last segment. You're speaking to me :) Yep - shame has had such a bad impact on my whole life.. I'm on a similar journey to you with you. heart.
Omg yes! Willow was the best!!!! You are absolutely lovely and charming and I wish you the absolute best in all of your endeavors 💕
I am so happy I found your channel! We are in the same boat and you’re such an inspiration to me. Thank you for sharing your journey, sis 🌼
The confidence is amazing!!
I love your energy and motivation! I look forward to seeing more of your journey!😊💕
Thank you for doing this. It helps all of us 💜
I'm so pumped for you, you got this!!! I'm a member of the church too, represent! ;) Major respect showing up for yourself and honored you're willing to share your journey with this community. Thank you for creating this space, you are making a positive impact already, powerful stuff. As you progress in your transformation and experience good days and hard days, just remember, every day is a new day. If wouldn't be called hard if it was easy. Be gentle with yourself and remember it is about progress not perfection. I'm a recovering perfectionist and people pleaser, so if you're anything like me, I've found I'm a better friend, sister, citizen, etc. when I prioritize filling my self-care tank (I used to feel really guilty about this. The book "Present Over Perfect" really helped me through some of those hard times.). Just know, if you get behind in editing/prepping content here or anything, this community is here to support and ultimately wants your success - the journey is *yours* and the crew here will still be here if you need to catch your breath. :)
Have you heard of Autumn Calabrese with Beachbody? I cannot recommend her workout programs and "Portion Fix" nutrition more highly (it's basically just portion control, but if you do want to dial it in, she has carb cycling calendars. Her brother is a chef so they've created tasty healthy recipes to make it easy to stay on track). Khloe Kardashian highlighted her as one of her super trainers on her Revenge Body show taking a client through her 80 Day Obsession program (just check out the hashtag and there are some amazing transformations). Her workouts and coaching style were the first time I ever actually looked forward to getting out of bed to do. What I love about her approach to nutrition is just that, she focuses on using food as nutrition to "fuel your body" and shifting the mindset to utilizing food in a positive way to enjoy life more. Feel free to ping me on Instagram @breezy.bright.brave if you want to connect. Rooting for you!!
Just discovered your channel, glad I did! You radiate such amazing energy. Also your hair is stunning🤩
