I think that Budo and Tracy didn’t mean to appear somewhat forgetful or seemingly dismissive about us as extremely loyal fans and devoted viewers. We may not be paying patrons but we are true and consistent participants who deeply appreciate the I interaction and the “relationship” grown over the years.

You're very kind, which I appreciate; But if all the real content is going to be saved for British TV, and, as in this new video, we get long stretches of Budo strimming and Tracy painting and an interminable commercial for kit almost none of us can use, I think we are being rewarded for years of faithful subscribership with a significantly more shoddy product -- by long and often-repeated calculation.
All the sites I watch are complaining of subscribers getting knocked off. I have not been. I am following 80 sites.
It does seem to he a problem glad you have mot and thank you for watching 🤗

Budo and Tracey, Please keep going - I love your channel. I am amazed that you do not get more hits more quickly. It is a real pleasure to watch real masters of your trades so to speak. We live in France also and we have renovated just the inside of an old Maison du Maitre about 100 years old. I started 12 years ago and just wish I could have watched your videos before I had started. I am a bit of a perfectionist and I just know when someone is doing something very well. It is a pleasure to watch you both. It has always seemed very strange to me that people with no clue and botching can grow to vast numbers for their videos !!! C'est la vie. Bon courage. Growth-it’s a process. At a certain point profitability in the monetary sense begins to feed on itself, “catching on”. Keep thinking abundantly instead of pulling back. Money is not the only profit. Sites that are positive and creative catch on faster. Viewers are interested in and find inspiration in your journey. Don’t buy into the consciousness of lack. You are a positive force.

I have missed you. The one thing I do every time I watch a vlog it is the first thing I do, I click the thumbs up! I do it before I watch because sometimes the auto feed comes on, even though I do not set it, it just happens, and there is not time to click the like. I like first, then watch.
I love watching you both, whether it be Tracy gardening, crafting, cooking, or the many other things she does. I also pay close attention to Budo's explanations when he is doing carpentry, masonry, etc. work. I find you both give very clear explanations and it is wonderful to see your home coming together with love.
I can not afford to become a patreon and I know I miss out on all the extra that you share with those who are. I also do not often make a comment, but not because I have not enjoyed your content because I do and I am amazed at how much you both accomplish. I will try to comment each vlog to help your channel grow. You have had negative press and that upsets me. No one deserves that. But you will always get the haters, just shrug them off, and if possible block them.

Oh Budo.. remember you were trying to get the roof done before that cold weather hit!!! I have been waiting patiently to see the finished kitchen!! I shall try to share to at least one person each episode... Hang in there.. All the ones I watch had a hard time getting over the 10K and 20K subscriptions, but after that they seemed to take off. They are all over 100K now but it took time.
The weather this year has changed priority of work but it will be worth the wait when it is eventually finished 😊 thank you that is great have a good weekend xx

I did notice earlier this year that CZcams kept removing my subscriptions from the smaller channels so I now check each and every time I like a video to make sure I’m still subscribed. So disappointing to hear how hard they make it for the smaller channels. Absolutely have loved your vlogs since the beginning. I follow some of the chateau channels as well but can only imagine myself owning and restoring a farmhouse like yours. Hubby and I are a similar age to you both. Our tastes must be similar too as I have loved all your style and decor decisions. Really enjoy watching your videos, but I do have a small suggestion to make, why not open a second youtube channel to cover Budo doing his fantastic woodwork only. It does sometimes get a bit too technical for us ordinary folk, but I know lots of viewers enjoy and understand that.
More cooking, making furnishings and gardening from Tracy may be the answer too.

As much as I love your work and your project, you’ve often said your relationship with YT and Patreon video production is difficult. I’m sorry, I really hope you work it out. Not sure complaining about the loyal long term viewers you do have is the way to do it.

When it goes live make sure you give us all the details and if the programme has a CZcams channel comment and introduce yourself and put your CZcams details so anyone reading their comments can find you. Wonder if it is worth having a second channel featuring Budo's construction projects as he always explains how he makes things this might pick up the diyers who wouldn't necessarily watch a channel on homesteading or French house renovation. Use the same videos you already have re edit and keep them short. Check what is out there. You deserve more subscribers. ❤

I love your channel and think its great that youve been picked up for a tv program. Im a loyal viewer and subscriber, im unable to follow any patreon channels, so i hope you continue yt. A lit if channels complain about the slowgrowth of their channels. Ive heard some say that some sort of regular consistency helps. So i understand you guys doung just a few videos, maybe make sure they come out on certain days, times that sort of thing. Hope it helps and youre able to get back to weekly.

Beautiful. I absolutely love the colour of the fireplace. I am a great fan of Farrell and Ball paint. I have used it a lot and the colours are so much better than cheap paint. The quality is so good. It is a pleasure to paint.

I find that when I try to click on only the LIKE button my computer insists that I Subscribe first before I can LIKE. I have never been Unsubscribed by CZcams. Fabulous content and good for you to get on TV. Wish I could watch it in Canada when it comes out.

As much as I admire what you do I didn’t think mainstream tv like you doing you tube while they are involved in making a show about you

Some of the Chateau vloggers talk about being film for TV and Dan (Escape to Rural France) sometimes shows the TV camera person in his CZcams vlogs
Oh and just another thought on growth, I think video titles have a big impact on potential viewers, I’m no expert at all but when wording is shifted to a question or a problem you have or solve that can make folk click.

I remember when I first started to look at CZcams videos and they were asking people to subscribe, At the time, I thought I would have to pay for a subscription, so I never did it. Of course I know better now, but I was wondering if there are a lot of other people who think the same way. Maybe keep telling every one that it doesn't cost anything and they don't have to fill in any information, Just press subscribe button. I love watching the videos of your house reno, so it will be sad not to see you even once a week.

I enjoy your videos and have been subscribed for a long time, I do the like, but I know no one else who watches you tube except my young grandsons who watch kids shows.😊 I have found that checking the status of my subscriptions is necessary even with very large channels. Wish I could see the TV show when it airs, but I am in the USA. Sorry I am not able to be a patreon. If and when you are able to post I’ll be there to watch. P.S my favorite episode was Budo and son installing the giant beam.

I am a little confused if you put out less videos to your loyal watchers then the algorithms will drop drastically? I understand the patrons will see exclusive stuff but the two work together for the growth of the channel. Great news with the UK TV filming that will have a massive impact on the CZcams channel. Ch4 changed the lives of owners when they showed Chateau DIY in France. Soon will be able to relax in the hottub with a pizza and a glass of wine/beer. Happy Weekend Both.
