That's how I feel about other many-episode anime that I have not yet watched such as Bleach, One Piece, etc. My advice for you tho is it's all about the mentality. When you start at the beginning, what your mindset should be is that you are in that era. Like you have traveled back in time and appreciate the anime's animation. This is because during those years, that was the best thet technology had to offer. Don't fret, enjoy the story. Like the animation, it will keep getting better.
