Paying down your mortgage is a great idea, we did the same and knocked off 7years on a 30 year fixed interest mortgage😊

RE: energy fund id keep the £200 in the bank but use the rest to help pay the card off....then maybe start stuffing again July/august time?

Hey I would defo save some money towards energy bills for next winter just to give yourself a buffer. Some of us have been very lucky this year after all the scaremongering and the rebates but I doubt we will be as lucky next year.

@@irisbudgets Iris I have to share this with you so I’m at this shop in my city called Walgreens and I seen a young man that works at the Wendy’s close to my house so I say ohhh heeeyyy don’t you work at the Wendy’s by Starbucks and Autozone he gives me a funny look and starts laughing and says I used to work there I quit working there bc all the workers and managers are on hardcore dr*#gs I walked in on them doing lines of C*#e then dropping the food without washing their hands or putting on gloves 😩😂 all I could do is think of all of the times I’ve eaten there keep in mind my niece I just had lunch there on Saturday 😂😂😂😂
That’s so exciting you’ve extended your holiday and good plan for your credit card. Paying extra off your mortgage with a low interest rate is such a good idea, plus it means if you bring it down in the future you’ll have more to stuff for trips (if that makes sense! 😂) fab video 😊💜x

Heheh honestly Stacie. My first shift at McDonalds I was in the dining area for like 7 hours and it felt like 70 hours!! It was AWFUL! But I stuck it out and learned loads. X
Great thinking on extending your trip! Will be such a lovely place to explore. Why not put your energy fund into your month ahead to give that a boost, and buy yourself a new binder to replace the glitter one you hate 😂💕

Awesome! An extension on your vacation sounds lovely! I would have done the same thing, I feel like if you have a plan to pay it off then its okay to use the card. Also maybe you could do half and half with your energy fund, you'll have a head start for next winter and still get to reallocate some of the money, great video!

I'd keep the energy as it is as we don't know what is going to happen next year. Wait till next Feb then spend spend spend 🤪 I need to start a emergency energy challenge I've been lucky up until this month! Great vid Iris xx

Super exciting that you’ve extended your holiday. I love going on adventures and I would have done the same. I think if you’ve got a plan for credit spending and paying it back you’re fine. Great plan for your mortgage. I think keep the energy fund for next winter and then if prices come down even more by then you can redistribute it xx

I would keep the energy fund where it is as unsure who you with but my last bill was £57 for the month & this one £465 😧 …go figure 🤔 & that is only putting heating on for an hour in the morning & 3-5 in the evening & I have smart meters…gulp! Xx
Oh god that’s a leap!! My winter bill was way over £1000 but that’s from sept to March. So I’m going to take a little for Jordan but leave the rest there in case the price cap goes up again.

In regards to overpaying on your mortgage..we just pay extra every month...but saving towards a lump-sum is a brilliant idea.
Lastly... working at McDonald's...I worked there for 7 years on nights...I've always said anyone who worked there...can work anywhere. I think it's brilliant training ground.

Def no shame working for McDonald’s! I used to be a spa manger so all massage etc I left my job to be manger of a new Starbucks. Whatever job you do in the service industry is bloody hard going!! My boy works for McDonald’s & I keep telling him no matter what job you do it’s hard!! That’s life! It makes you learn & grow as a person & I take my bloody hat off to people that work within the fast food industry! X

You’ve probably said this before (I’m a relatively new subscriber.) but why did you choose Jordan for your holiday? It seems like an unusual and exciting destination.
I’m on a bit of a travel fast at the moment for a few years in order to pay more off my mortgage. I’m throwing as much money as I can afford to at the principle in order to pay it down quicker. It’s my primary goal! Not very exciting, but there will be time for travel in coming years.
PS: I’m an Australian viewer. I check Etsy to try to secure one of your binders, but I don’t think I’ll ever hit it at the right time. ☹️ I’m not on Instagram.

Yes that’s so smart for your mortgage! I’m looking to do the same when I’m back. I’ve always wanted to go to the Middle East. The culture and history of the region really attract me. I’m going on a guided tour and the itinerary just looked amazing so that’s why I decided!!
