I’m Daniela I have been diagnosed with several chronic illnesses. I look normal, I do things, have a job and go on vacations, but inside I'm sick. I live with several chronic illnesses and they affect my daily life. I am in constant pain and struggle with brain fog. Although I'm constantly looking for new doctors, new treatments and solutions I have also accepted my illnesses and do not let them define me. In this channel, I share a little bit of everything. Information about my conditions, my travels, my dreams, my journey, my life. This channel is about life through chronic illness lenses. Come and join me and see what I'm up to lately.

    I love this!!!
I love how REAL this is! You're not trying to pretend that you eat perfectly. It is a really refreshing video 😍

A lot of the times when we feel inadequate is because we are comparing ourselves to staged versions of life that are not realistic and it makes us feel like everyone else has it together and we don't. ❤

Kudos to you for putting out content for others suffering with chronic illnesses…🙏👍🏼. It looked draining to me by watching how you filmed/edit your vids, but I can relate to the sense of accomplishment you get when you’re able to put a vid out for all to see and hopefully benefit from.
Nutrition does play a big part in how we feel….if we fuel our bodies with crap or starve ourselves too, we’re going to feel worse than we already do. Also, we need to know what foods may trigger an inflammatory response in us…certain foods may be fine for one individual, yet wreak havoc in another. Caffeine (and alcohol) is a big no for me…it has a big negative effect on me…I limit myself to a few pieces of dark chocolate chips (small amount of caffeine in cacao) after a meal.
I know you’re very aware of this, but meds have side effects, so even though you’re trying to alleviate one issue with a med, it can create negative side effects we can’t afford to have. There’s already a plethora of issues afflicting us…we don’t want anymore, but I understand that certain meds are a necessity for some.

You just pretty much summed up the dilemma of my life. In a very diplomatic way may I say. 😍Knowing what to do and actually feeling able to do are two different things. I will keep trying to strive to the ideal, at the same time being kind to myself when I fail.

The medication dilemma is a hard one, and I certainly relate. Last week I took the max dose per week of my abortive migraine meds, and it caused me to have 4 extra days of rebound migraines because of it. But what was I supposed to do? Lay there and suffer in pain? It's hard to know what the right decision is sometimes, and it's especially hard to make the right decision when you're in so much pain.

Loved this video! That looked like a gourmet meal!! Do you cook dinner every night for your family?
I cook every night, except for migraine days, and then I just throw something easy in the oven ( often times not healthy food, but it's food!). I find cooking to be exhausting most of the time...but I force myself to do so that we eat healthy meals. It's such a challenge some days though!

I used to cook everyday but since my health has been deteriorating pretty fast my husband has taken over quite a bit. On a good week I cook maybe 3-4 days. On a bad one I’ll cook maybe just once. Cooking used to be my passion. And I was very good at it too. Now I can never find the energy to do it. It really drains me and I get pretty dizzy standing so that is a problem too.

@@tt_looking_glass Yes I hear you. Must be extra hard with having POTS. Would a stool help in the kitchen? Maybe a rolling one, like those ones doctors use!

@@jennifers.7037 I was just looking at one at Amazon this week because. I usually bring our countertop stool around but it’s big and it doesn’t roll so I have to pick it up every time I have to move. I had exactly the same idea. I will be ordering one soon. 😍
