I so want to go to the Philippines one day. I went to Japan for the first time in 2018 and my grandma Helen told me about where our family was fromâŠand while I enjoyed it, I didnât feel at home. My grandma Dolly, whoâs Ilokano, had always raved about the food in the Philippines âcause I love dinuguan, fried pusit in vinegar, kare kare, sinigang, belut, etc. So I think I would really feel at home there.
Not to mention I donât exactly look like the people in JapanâŠbut I definitely look very Filipino âcause people are always coming up to me and speaking to me in Tagalog. Even when I was 7, the teacher assigned me to do Filipino stick dancing, and my grandma Dolly was so proud!
The thing is, I donât have any Filipino bloodâŠat least my parents say Iâm full Japanese. I think someone had some side hustle going on. đ Anyway, watching this beautiful video just makes me want to go even more! â€ïžđ§Ąđđđđ
