Just to let you guys know he didn't say the n-word, In the Korean language that word means I or you, with pronunciation varying slightly. Not the n-word lol

No, that was a Korean word, not the N word. SUGA comes form underground hip hop before joining BTS. He is one of the 3 rappers, and SUGA is known for going hard in his raps. He goes by Agust D for his solo mixtapes.

The irony though is that Korean "naega" is thousands of years older than the current "n" word (that ends with "a"), which itself actually is a slang from the old spanish/latin word. So if anything, it should be the other way around, that if you said the "n" slang in front of a Korean speaker, they would think you were saying "naega".

I know you have a bunch of people correcting you in the comments, and they’re right about what the actual word you were hearing was. But I will say that you’re definitely not the only ones to be caught off guard when it came up in a Korean song. It can sound especially.. questionable.. when they’re switching back and forth from English to Korean a lot.

I'll never forget the one time I listened to a BTS song and thought RM (one of the rappers on the group), when I was still new to them, I thought he said the N-word and gasped. Ofc it's not but can sound that way sometimes. I remember some of the times they had to cut out certain parts or change them because they didn't want to offend people on American shows since their music would be in the Korean language despite there not actually being any offensive words. Just knowing that alone, just know that they wouldn't actually say that word. I'm sure you do know but I liked the reaction regardless!

before any judgement please inform yourself, is very easy to misinterpret one word that have nothing to do with the other one. always put subtitle or google the lyrics

In Korean the word "Naega" means Me. And the word "Niga" means You. It has nothing to do with the racist ignorant word some vile slave owner made up for black people in America. This is a word that we Koreans have been using everyday for thousands of years, long before the heinous "N" Word was created in the English dictionary.

There is nothing more frustrating when everyone is thinking when Koreans say neaga which means you or another way spelled means I.... you all forget the Korean language come before the N word was ever even a thing..... Think about it.....
