Elvis came from grinding, depression era, southern poverty. He never forgot what it was like to be dismissed and marginalized. His life was a lesson to all of us. Never write off anyone based on where they were raised or where they originated. Elvis was and is the patron saint of the American Dream.
Excellent description...dismissed and marginalized. I'd Like to add then when he was noticed it was to be ridiculed and later demonized. 43 years beyond the grave and the world still celebrates him and mourns the loss. I think he went beyond being the American dream. He was the dream of the world. I know what you meant however.
Shawn and Mel ... I had forgotten about this but you have to read it! Elvis saved millions of lives in 1956 from the polio virus. David did a great story on it today facebook.com/110149463878110/posts/204230351136687/?vh=e&d=n
This is great, his playfulness and great sense of humor that shows here!! His southern charm is amazing as well!! ❤I grew up listening having been a fan from the south from a young age .........these reviews have such a special meaning!!!!! ❤ Thank you for keeping Elvis alive!!!!!!!
Elvis incredible in that 68 special god gorgeous listen to those women screaming yeaahhh the Goat thank you both stay safe 😷✌ so true he was humble to the end ☺
Right before this live performance Elvis almost backed out..didn't think his fans would care anymore..good friend helped him gain back his confidence right before he hit the stage live
He is beyond amazing Shawn and Mell and yes he was always nervous before his show he was so nervous for this show he refused to come out of his dressing room he had to be persecuted by all the team he really didn’t think he could do it he was scared he would mess up but we know that he didn’t mess up he was just amazing I’ve missed him for over 43yrs and I still cry it seems like yesterday when he left us I miss him so much love ❤️ you guys from your sister in England 🏴🏴🏴💖🤴🥰😘👋XX
RCA released a studio version of this song in 1958 while Elvis was away in the Army. He had originally recorded it a year earlier, But that version was called One Night Of Sin, and had MUCH raunchier lyrics. RCA refused to release the original version at that time, so the lyrics were rewritten and the song was renamed One Night With You and the new version was rerecorded just before he left for his Army stint. It was STILL pretty raunchy for the times, but RCA agreed to release it and it became one of his more popular songs. Many years later, the original version was finally released. It's actually very tame by today's standards, but it is a fun listen anyway.
That is what you call "TO SEXY FOR HIS LEATHER SHIRT". And generous enough to do a do-over when a mishap messed up the performance. Cool is the exact right word. Thx
Que beleza de casal! Muito lindos! Shawn and Mel estão muito lindos! My God que beleza está o KIng! Grandiosa Performance do Elvis Aaron Presley! King brilha em tudo o que faz! King tem uma voz única no mundo! King está sempre no meu coração! King para sempre! I Love King! 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓👏👏👏👏👏
Shawn & Mel I love your reactions of Elvis. I have been a fan since 1976 and I am 53 years old and still a fan. You need to see Elvis in 1972. Check out his energy on Polk Salad Annie, Proud Mary, See See Rider and the power of his voice on Never Been To Spain, I Can't Stop Loving You, to name a few and a really good gospel rehearsal from Elvis On Tour. And the gospel melody from the 68 special. Take care and stay safe. 🙂👍🤝
I love the way you both get excited in your videos, especially when reacting to Elvis. You are both right in your comments. Yes, Elvis s in a class of his own. Bruce Springsteen once said '' There have been pretenders, there have been contenders, but there is only one Elvis ''. I think that sums it up, along with what you both said in this video. This is Elvis singing with raw power and entertaining with high intensity. I would please like to request ' We Can Make The Morning ' I believe from 1971 or 1972. Powerful studio recording.
OMG I love ya'll for calling him what he was... The GOAT... He truly just had it ALL!!! the voice the looks the personality...the only thing Elvis didn't do was write his music. Didn't matter... he made everything sound amazing
You’re right! Elvis’ appeal for most guys has nothing to do with being sexually attracted to him, it’s an admiration type of thing. What man wouldn’t want to be as attractive and desirable by seemingly ALL women? He’s not only charismatic, he’s also talented AF! And his charm and his personality are both off the chart! Tell me please, what man wouldn’t want to be Elvis if only for a day? Okay, maybe for two days, maybe even three or possibly even… 😂 Can you even imagine what it’s like being the center of the ladies attention wherever you go each and every day? No doubt about it, Elvis was up to his ears in “it”, if you know what I’m saying’! 🤣
Elvis had so much soul, talent, and charisma that he was the total package. He had a big heart and was very generous. Elvis was a blend of blues, rock and roll, and gospel. He was a once-in-a-lifetime talent. Thank you, Lord, for putting him on earth during my teenage years.
Keep talkin cause you’re saying all the right things we love to hear about EP! Hope you’re doing ok. Best wishes to you and your family ❤️. “As long as I have you” please.
Adore you guys. Mel you’re looking beautiful. It’s Elvis! My first crush Love Me Tender ❤️ This special was great. Thanks for bringing him to new generations.
68 comeback special was his greatest concert uncertain and his 2nd greatest concert was answered was the 1973 Aloha from Hawaii historic historic fantastic musis fantastic music from a great entertainer
Natural born entertainer. Not a music lesson in his life. He was born with it. He often wandered why he was THE CHOSEN one to set the stage for the future. It put a lot of pressure on him!!! I HAVE some more ultimate performances, are u interested????
The world needed someone special and as unique as him, especially at that time in history. I reckon someone like Elvis was just meant to be. 🤷🏻♂️ I’ve often read that God was just showing off when he made Elvis and afterwards he broke the mold.
Shawn and Mel, great reaction as usual. There is an earlier Elvis classic that you need to check out and hopefully react to: "You're So Square (Baby I Don't Care)". Awesome song.
Original was ONE NITE OF SIN and they made him clean it up this is the CLEAN VERSION but if you get the chance check out ONE NITE OF SIN LOL ITS AWESOME
I heard a Navy SEAL say one time they are nervy before every mission, but know they have the ability to do there job and Always did. Not comparing Elvis to a Navy SEAL by any stretch- just saying when you want to do your best you do get nervous.
No flashing lights. No smoke. No special effects. Just the king of rock and roll his guitar and that amazing voice
*There will never be another King of Rock & Roll like Elvis*
"We're gonna be reacting to Elvis for the next 50 years!" LMAO! 😂😂😂😂👍

Hey Barry, Elvis could relate to everyone and that’s why we are so honored to keep Elvis’s legacy alive as much as we can on our platform 💜💜

Did you catch the part where his guitar got unplugged, he sang "someone pulled the plug"
Hi Guys, Did you ever make it to Graceland? I hope you are surviving and all are healthy. All the best! R.I.P. Your Pool
Elvis's grandmother was a native American
Original was ONE NITE OF SIN and they made him clean it up this is the CLEAN VERSION but if you get the chance check out ONE NITE OF SIN LOL ITS AWESOME
