- I took Heather to Costco, was that a mistake? It was a little early for Thanksgiving dinner supplies, but we did get a few things. Then we continue our trip to Michigan fun! This time it is the Detroit Zoo! That was a Heather request too and I almost forgot about it, we weren't sure if it would happen, but our Saturday in Michigan was amazing! Come join us!

The zoo is amazing and everything you showed us so far was spectacularly beautiful. The penguins or mengins as my daughter used to call them were so cute. Glad you enjoyed the video. Heather said she will use the bear as a pillow, it sure is squishy enough. I felt great yesterday and may have done too much again, took some cold meds to sleep and woke up mostly okay, we will see how the day goes. Good Evening Bears 💜 We had a great weekend ... accomplished what was on our "To Do" List and watched the Saturday and Sunday video 😊😊 today. Sherry - Hope you are feeling better. You did sound better on Sunday's video than on Saturday's. Take it easy and get some rest so you don't get a relapse. Nobody is allowed to be sick on Thanksgiving! Seeing Heather with her Bear was priceless. Beean and Kip were so excited ... thought they got a new toy. Hope you will be able to get all your Thanksgiving foods/supplies on Tuesday. I have never cooked a turkey on Thanksgiving. We usually get a roasted chicken and I cook the sides. This year I am making a chicken casserole that will have creamed corn, mashed potatoes, and cheese. Will have cranberry sauce and a few other sides. We do our Christmas decorating (at least start) on Thanksgiving. That is our tradition. This year, Hubby assembled the tree last weekend and today it got decorated so that takes off a few hours of work. The older we get, the more creative we get with "shortcuts". Hope Mary had a good time with her activities. Enjoy the week ... the holidays are already going too fast.
Helllllooooooo!!!! Getting things accomplished sounds amazing! I cleaned today, seems like everyone forgets how to do things when mom is sick. I was hoping to get some Christmas decorations up, but that didn't happen, I didn't even get Monday Measures done 😱😝 Heather and that Bear 🤣 I should know better than to take her into Costco. Hopefully I will never cook turkey again for Thanksgiving, LOL. Your dinner sounds delicious! We may get another tree, I would like to have a few trees this year. Mary is out again tonight, she is having fun with coworkers, it is a slower time of year for them, thankfully. You have an amazing week too! 🥰🤗💖🦃🥧
Hi! We sure enjoy the Detroit Zoo also. It is a great zoo to say the least. Oh yes, we just talked about having pizza for Thanksgiving. We haven't decided yet. I have the yucky lungs, head chest ... what did you do for yours? You are very organized. Love your vlog
We had season tickets to the zoo every year when the girls were little, it gave us perks for other events. Oh no, that gunk is going around town like crazy, soon we will all be immune to that strain, lol. I am taking vitamin c, zinc and drinking apple cider vinegar with lemon juice and sea salt, also doing electrolytes and vitamin D. Hope you feel better soon 🤗💖

The ice fog reminded me of Fairbanks in the winter.
It was so thick, I thought it was because we were by the river, but it was thick all the way to the zoo!

What an awesome zoo! I love the penguin exhibit! I waited anxiously for my favorite, the giraffe 🦒 exhibit! They are such beautiful and elegant animals! So glad y'all had fun! Happy Thanksgiving!
They have a giraffe encounter, where you can feed the giraffes!!! I did not know that, it had just closed for the season 😭 It was an amazing day, thank you and you have a Happy Thanksgiving too 🥧🦃
They are usually next to the green beans. I once bought a stuffed animal and this kid saw it. I should have given it to her.
I was amazed, we didn't see any fried onions, I figured this time of year they would be on the end caps, I went up and down every aisle. I scared off all the kids when I threw the bear back 🤣😝
Love the polar bears! I might have to take a trip to Detroit ❤ Enjoy your 5days off! On Friday I’ll be driving for 6 hours home from my brothers house. Today I prepared cranberry sauce and made some banana walnut muffins for our breakfast while I’m there. I used monk fruit in both recipes. I really liked Heathers red plaid dress. Just ordered Pair Eyewear today and added a red plaid topper. Can’t wait to get them. Have a great week! Love you guys!

Sherry hopefully your feeling better, sounds like it. Wow can’t believe Thanksgiving is next week, time flies by..I can’t believe at our Costco quiet a lot of the. Christmas decorations are gone, the customers are buying the floor model, they sure went to fast…Sherry, your hair is beautiful, the color & fullness of it…Looks like you all had a good time at the zoo. I am feeling better, but may be pushing myself to get the Monday Measures up 😝 I worry about our Costco sometimes having too much inventory, but it does seem to disappear. Thanks on the hair, it was pretty fuzzy in that Michigan humidity 😉 The zoo was awesome, we had season passes for many years, never got tired of it. The dogs love the fuzzy rug bed, I hear they will be on sale soon, I need to get my refund and get another! Thank you and you have a good evening too! 🥰
We don’t have family close so we have been doing different foods each year for maybe 🤔 10-12 years now! This year we are going out for the 1st time to a Cracker Barrel!!!

O.k. Sherry, we officially received 30" of snow in 3 days here in W Michigan!!!!! All kinds of records were broken! It was strange to watch your vid & realize we have more snow on the ground than AK.....in MICHIGAN!!!!! I LOVE lake affect snow (another reason for loving W MI)!!!

Oh wow! I was wondering if western Michigan was getting that lake effect snow, those same fronts move across those lakes. They got a lot of snow already down south in the Anchorage and coastal areas, but they are warming up enough to melt it and get rain, it's so odd! I am thankful we haven't gotten a whole lot this year, the last 3 years were insane for us. Too much snow❄❄❄ I know right? Those girls, but I am not sure what foods they want they are on their own, I am making mostly just for me now. 🤔😉
Wow you might be cutting it close going shopping for Thanksgiving on Tuesday. I did it this weekend. Good luck. We have the family coming. There will be 10 of us. Cooking two turkeys so everyone has plenty of leftovers to take home. I do all the cooking. Looking forward to it. Enjoy your Thanksgiving. 🦃

Sounds like a wonderful reason for a 'black Friday' trip to Anchorage. A couple of times on a whim, I flew down to Anchorage just because I could. Back then, it was 8 dollars on a MAC Flight from Wainwright Airfield to Elmendorf AFB ( I do not recommend flying on a C-130). They were fairly common back then; virtually every day. Back in my day, it was board games and card games at worst. Now, its PC games! Back then, everything was cash and Checks, usually they wrote it out in line and we all had to wait for them. I'm surprised to hear you having trouble using ATMs, if I understood you correctly. Mac and Cheese is eternal; in my day and these days. I do a couple of Field Trips to Zoos every year so I usually wait for them. I don't really go myself for that reason but still enjoy them a lot!
Oh my gosh, now it costs as much to go to Anchorage as it does to go to Seattle, it's insane. I was really surprised to see how many pokemon fans there are still out there. Do they still take checks at stores? The ONLY check I write anymore is once a month to my mortgage. No problem with ATM's, just the fees if it's not your bank, some charge $5! All of my girls are mac and cheese fanatics. Oh you need to go in to the zoo, I love the childrens reactions 🥰

Me too!!! I had so much turkey when the girls were little, I did everything to make meals to cover up the taste. I hope I get the ingredients for the pie, I am running out of time.

No polar bears here, they are way up north. Penguins are at the south pole not the north. That's why I love the zoo 🥰
I'm catching up on some vids! Was in Colorado for son's wedding and Branson for shopping and Christmas lights!😊 I heard you say you're making a pumpkin pie with almond flour. Do you have to boil the almond flour before you use it for crust? I had seen a recipe where it says you need to heat it or something like that and that just kind of turned me off! LOL. How Fun! Yeah, not sure about the recipe, I really haven't used almond flour a lot because of Heather's allergies, we will see how it turns out, it's like a crumble crust. That Bear!!!! Heather won, we are supposed to be saving money, ugh.😝🤣🥰

P.S......😁.....Sherry I had to laugh at your comment about turkey....my sentiments exactly....its just tasteless...🥴.....Ive been doing steak for about 3 yrs now.....I marinate them for at least 2 hrs in fresh lemon juice and Montreal steak seasoning.....its pretty good but am always interested in a better way...tastier way.....😊
@@englishwoman7697 🤣 Yes and I think I ate too much of turkey over the years. I marinate my steaks at least over night, try to for 24 hour, even more sometimes.
✍ Hi there Lady Bears...Used to do the cooking but my daughter and son-in-law have been cooking Thanksgiving dinner the last 4 years.🦃 but my other daughter,me and Troy's mom will be bringing some casseroles and desserts to help with dinner🍽 🍷I need to buy a few more things for Thanksgiving 🦃 I want to get my garland with lights up around our porch and railing before Thanksgiving but my daughter doesn't want me to put them up by myself but she's so pokey and I want to get it done. Heather you're A little old for all those toys 🐻 just kidding with you ...ha ha ha ha cute ❤ I got some sirloin strip steaks from ALDI (don't know if you have that store in Alaska) A package of 3 and I wasn't expecting them to be very tasty but they were tender and delicious and were only. $ 12.55 I went back to the store to buy more but they were all gone. That Heather, I should know better than to take her to Costco 🤣 I was hoping to have my outdoor lights up by now, but yea, not doing that myself, don’t try it, help is nice 👍 we don’t have n Aldi here, one of the things I miss from Michigan.
