  • Putu Mayam :The Street Food With A Difference
    One of the most unusual street food you could find in Malaysia is the commonly known "putu mayam" string hoppers. This Tamil Nadu originated stringy rice flour serving is also known as "idiyappam". The dough is sometimes flavoured wth "pandan" or coconut milk. The video takes a look at how they are formed on the bamboo basket steamer in swift motions. The vermicelli-like string hoppers are usually served with sugar or brown sugar and some curry. It is considered a light meal or dessert and is not a common sight in cities nowadays.

      Thomast Tham - looks like one finger pointing out and at least 3 pointing in towards yourself ! How does chicken bk knows that it is Melayu theyr're speaking to know it is in Malaysi? English is spoken almost everywhere !
      So that you know, Melayu is also spoken in Singapore and in Indonesia also. Not only in Malaysia.
      Why do you need to be so rude to others asking a innocent question ?
      Wishing you a sweeter life to come than what you are having now.

    • @eclat438
      @eclat438 Před 7 lety

      Thomast Tham - You must be so..ooo well traveled that you can distinguish the different intonations in those countries that speaks Melayu, be it Indonesia or Malaysia or Singapore. Perhaps to your narrow mind, Malaysians don't travel and live in these other countries, only in Malaysia and that everyone knows Melayu to distinguish from their intonations which country they are from. I wondered how they can do that when they don't understand bahasa Melayu.
      Yes, I am well traveled, but not as petty as you to try and distinguish from how they speak or where they comes from. I take the people I've met as the person they are.
      I am also glad that in my travels, I am lucky not to have met rude, arrogant, selfish and small minded people like you who are full of themselves and if I ever did, I will not wish to know them, just like now with you. Go fuck yourself !! You are a waste of time
