I learned this an hour ago and I'm super fast. My only problem is the switching needles
Your ment to Shove it through your right needle and not in the middle just going through the left knit then wrap round the yarn to the needle then pull *to* you then take off the one you just went through then repeat the process in each needle or you can switch needle every row of stitch you made

I just watched your long tail cast on short and this is practically the same way apart from the long tail method is easier!😁You may as well do the long tail method!

Am I making the cast on loops from the yarn bundle or the long string? I thought the string was left for stitching pieces together if you were working on sections.

No, you don’t. Your yarn should be oriented so that you are making the new loop from the yarn strand going directly to the ball.
