Oceans is a song that tells about the story of Peter being called by Jesus to walk on the water. The disciple did so, but temporarily lost his focus to Jesus and started to sink, so he called upon the name of our Lord Jesus to rescue him.

Just like Taya said, we’re in the great unknown and my feet may fail...in times like this, we need to lean into God, instead of running away from him. We have such a good God, the God of second chances, the God of the impossible. Especially in seasons like this, our God is unwavering, he will not be shaken. We need to change our mindset from “what if” (in fear) to “even if” (ready to fight) because he is with us and we will prevail.

This song speaks to me on a level I cannot explain, as I'm sure it does to a lot of people. I've grown up in church, playing and singing, worshipping in spirit and truth. But, I've gone through so much emotionally this past year that it just felt like I couldn't catch my breath. This song is a reminder of Romans 10:13, that whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. If all can do in my times of trouble is to call upon Him, He will save me from whatever I am going through, and it's so comforting to know this truth.
Yeah. And the good news is that the storms and troubles don't last forever. Sometimes we go through long seasons of pruning, that we may come to the 'afterwards' of a rich harvest of much fruit. So we can look forward with joy and hold on to hope in the midst of our storms, no matter how many.

I had a breakdown today about my toxic relationship, but on top of that my depression. I’ve been crying everyday, finding God in and out and I felt lost and dark for awhile. And then I prayed, and cried, then received peace and cried some more. After that I watched this video and cried even more resonating with each lyric. I’ve been blessed by God and graciously saved by him. He has brought me light from the darkness and peace from the loudness. God is truly there, God is truly with us all. Thank you for this video, and for the comments of people around the world opening my eyes to the different people God has also saved. ❤️

I didn't know where to find help and I know that God will provide but I'm sharing this our situation now that me and my mother do the washing clothes to anyone of my neighborhood that wanted to wash their clothes and now the covid is increasing here and our area is lockdown so we didn't go outside to find where me and my mother could wash clothes and earn so we could buy milk and foods and some medicine for my baby brother.
I'm just borrowing phone so if ever you see this please I wanted to ask for your help just for my baby brother that really needed milk and Medicine even we could eat just for my baby brother 😭😭🙏.

i really needed this.. i am a worship leader and music creator on our church.. and all that title.. but this pandemic and this quarantine proved me that my faith in our God is weak.. a few weeks in the pandemic was fine and good... but in our place was one of the few countries who imposed quarantine early... and we'd been at it for weeks. its been a month and a half... ive been stuck in my room for weeks... havent had a devotion for weeks.. havent prayed for weeks.. and soon it became clear... ive lost my faith in him... listening on this now ,really made me realize that even though i lost connection with God for the longest ive been worshiping him.. he never left me... "where feet may fail and fear surrounds me" really struck my heart... i had doubts before about this pandemic really ending.. asked myself questions "is this going to end" "when?"....
this made me realize that even though we fall.. even though we stumble.. he is there.. God is with us.. this song gave me a jumpboost... its like my gears are back up and running... the sound of machines firing back up again when a black out occured... like my fire is back up ever more stronger.. and for once without any help from anyone... only God and me... so for those who lost faith... dont stop worshiping him... dont stop praying like what i did.. it is the worst feeling ive ever had.. just keep following him.. even if the path is unclear.. just obey him and dont lose doubt.. like this song portrays "about peter being called out on the waters.. he did walk.. but slowly started to sink because of doubt" trust in him and give heart.

With a very few exceptions (I'm thinking of Kari Jobe and Kim Walker-Smith in particular) nobody does prayerful singing like Taya and Brooke. Hillsong are so blessed to have them both AS WELL AS their other singers, musicians and especially songwriters. The more they go on, the more humble they seem to get. That's why God exalts them (Matthew 23:12, James 4:6, 1 Peter 5:5-6, Psalm 138:6, Proverbs 3:34 etc). There is one way above all to stay humble and that is to stay in a constant attitude of praising God, thanking Him and giving Him ALL the Glory

these past few days, I'm having a hard time. Stress, Depresssion, Anxiety, and Breakdowns. They became one and eat me whole. I'm tired of school works and in the verge of giving up but I'm afraid to leave. Yesterday, was supposed to be my death date but I thought that this life will bloom to something magnificent, so why waste it? This song helps me A LOT.

The love of God is reckless, He loves me even though I don’t deserve it, for I was a sinner, but still He sent His only son Jesus to take up my sin and die for me.
Jesus took up my cup, for I should have died for my sinful ways, but Jesus died in my place, and I took the cup restoration and forgiveness, for my heart was circumcised and made pure, my heart restored.
But Jesus resurrected and now the Holy Spirit lives among us forever. I find comfort in His presence.

I love this. In this setting Taya has a more vocal freedom. She surprises me each time she hits different notes than what we're used to hearing.
Some months ago , I was very frustrated with my life. My family was in crisis and I found no reason to carry on with life. I was really in deep depression but I was going on with life. I am not very old but I teach young children. Situations were very bad but I was just holding on any how.
One day while I was on my way to home. I pulled out earplugs and I decided to cross the road with earplugs on , the reason I did this was I wanted to know if Lord has something for my life and my family's life , and if not taking this step (earplugs with full volume on and crossing a busy road) would definitely take away my life. I was listening to this song at the time and I felt warm presence of LORD , I crossed a busy road while listening to this song and I am alive today because Lord saved me , since then this song reminds me I HAVE JESUS AND HE HAS BETTER PLANS FOR ME.
Now , this song is my FAVOURITE because it has a memory of me trying to end my life because I was losing faith in JESUS and JESUS trying to save me because HE has fruitful plans for me.
Now , after 5 months of that incident , my family and me , we all are fine and good by the Grace of GOD.

Let the love of the Lord and His forever promise that He will never leave us not forsake us. We need to hold on to His promise. God is always with us.
