Weirdly enough the people I see that goes too hard in sparring sessions are those who doesn't fight full-time or are straight up wannabe's. The actual boxers in our gym takes regular sparring very easily and mostly done to practice combinations and movement. When they are preparing for a fight they do go full speed but still doesn't go all out with punches.
If I was a tourist in Thailand I think the Banchamek gym would be tops on my list of places to spectate. Anyone know the protocols around there, if people can check out the gym?
As far as I know, Buakao moved to Bunchamake Gym at Mae rim in Chiangmai since the pandemic last year .He has various activities there not only sparring Muay Thai but lots of funny things such as developing rice field , fishing , resort and growing fruits .
I’m quite late, but it’s quite funny to see he used the right middle kick & right high kick a lot in this sparring round, knowing that he recently KOed the kickboxing GOAT Giorgio Petrosyan with a right high kick.

Yes always hammer into a southpaws lead leg they tend to check or block very badly . Yes i know buakaw is usually orthodox still it something lacking even with Natural southpaws

He’s goin southpaw too. I think he’d show Superbon what’s up if they actually went at it lol. Both of them blasted Petrosyan. But I think Buakaw is just a better striker. Defintely more powerful, he’s got way better hands better boxing. That’s half of what made him so good. He could outbox everybody.

They were fighters from different gym long time ago.As while Buakaw was in his prime being 2 yr K.1 champions in 2004,2006 He was reputable and famous all over the world of Kick boxing that time, 24 year old Superbon met Buakaw and was asked to join the gym name Banchamek. Because he monitored that the young Superbon was talented and ambitious that would be the next legend in kickboxing. Since then Superbon was trained ,sparred and was supported to fight in Kunlun Fight and other matches under the Gym name Bunchamek. He is successful almost all fights. Buakaw the legend , has trained his successor to be a future legend.

When you have 300 fights in your career, you can’t afford to go hard in sparring. Always admired how the Thai’s train.

I think Superbon was more trilling one or two techniques with him rather than sparring. He kept doing the same and Buakaw kinda set it up
