    Just got 2017 Sonata and replaced bulbs but still don't get enough lighting. This is my next step I believe my projectors are burned out. Thanks for the video. Just subscribed.

    You can remove the plastic head light cover off from the assembly to clean them inside and out or buy new plastic covers

      yes, I did that first however, there were multiple things broken inside including the adjusters, tabs etc. I ended up just replacing them after removing the covers once before.

      Finding the headlight cover was more of a challenge than replacing the entire assembly.

      Did you have to go thru all of this also to replace the headlight covers? How hard was that? Mine just need covers replaced.

      I would be willing to keep the original faded covers if I could just adjust the low beam horizontally. I literally have a blind spot in the middle. No vid on how to adjust the beams.

    Thank you for this. Helped me expedite a replacement for my step kids 2016 Sonata after she ran into the rear of my lifted Ram. Somehow, someway I got stuck with this task.

    This is unreal!! Have to go thru all that to change out the headlights. I bet a dealer will charge you at least 100 bucks if not more in labor alone.

    I did this for my drivers side headlight and now my blinker on that side won’t blink. The bulb comes on but it’s not blinking and it clicks really fast on the inside like it’s blown but it’s not. Any idea how to fix that? It was blinking fine before I did this.

      I would check the bulbs and all connections. It is possible that the assembly is defective if you bought it from somewhere. I think you could possibly plug it into the other side harness to check if it works there.

    Where did get your new headlights from.

      I got them from here: www.headlightsdepot.com/ - I first tried an eBay set however, those were jacked up. The ones from headlights depot both fit and worked perfectly like OEM.

    Do you have to calibrate the head lights?

    • @GR-bh5ql
      @GR-bh5ql Před 10 měsíci

      Most likely yes. There is a Philips screw that rotates wheel with teeth on the back side of the headlight. Clockwise makes beam up, counterclock makes beam down. Look for the tutorial how far it should be to not blind opposite drivers.
