In his video he goes over what techs you should consider juggling and why.
This video is about the mechanics of tech juggling and some quirks of tech juggling. When should you apply the saved research, is there a benefit to waiting. If so, how much is the benefit. Can you tech juggle twice?

Just looking at 1936 progression for Germany with the default trade law, this unlocks the 3% buff for Electronic Mechanical Engineering on Mar 12 instead of Apr 10, and the 4% buff for Mechanical Computing on Oct 9 instead of Dec 7. For very little effort, imo. At a minimum, I'll be doing it for all the electronics/research techs. Good stuff to know!
Oh no way! I've followed both you and ESG since forever, it's cool to see you're doing a collab.
Great to see my favorite 2 HOI4 dudes who have taught me so much collaborating. Would love to see a live stream at some point. 👍
miss you man comeback
Great content as always? Ever thought about making guides for non historical playthroughs? Specifically weak minors that can be hard to get off the ground like Greece?
Great content for learning the game. I want to get some DLCs, are they necessary to play the game, or should I stick to base game. What DLCs do you have?
the minimal benefit will most likely get offset by human error and tech slot sitting there idle past 30 days. I only use this for inicial electronic research.
"minimal benefit" lmao. I think you don't understand the concept of snowballing at all, and there is absolutely no human error if you have half a brain cell
Am I interpreting this right: you can ‘save’ the 30 days you’ve built up by trying to apply it to an already juggled tech to actually apply those 30 days later on?
If you started researching a tech ahead of time with days saved up in that research slot, you can still tech juggle so that those days are applied later on when the penalty for being ahead of time is less. You can also save up 30 days and the research something else while you wait for ahead of time penalty to come down and then tech juggle with that research slot.
Im new to hoi4 and got the base game only when it was on sale some weeks ago. Apart from playing the game i also looked at the different commands. I found 2 different commands for research. So if you use the research all command, it seems, some kind of hidden technologies are researched instantly too. But now i don't know what to do with them. I just wanted an ultra tech country but now i don't whats the best tech, also because i have no idea about for example bike divisions or amphibious tanks. Are they listed somewhere so i can find out which is best and what to use it for? E. g. there are two typed of trains and i dont know if can use them in the same way
modern tanks, badass strat bombers, nukes, jet fighters.
whats the difference with waiting 30 days and applying them for the tech u want
You are researching it will the 30 days accumulate allowing you to out 30 extra days towards it.
Can you do it on the same technology repeatedly?
No. Once per tech
If you're going to do this, why not burn 2 research slots on one technology, switch every month or so and let the other research slot recharge?
It can be done only once
@@patrikkalus5567 wdym
@@dylanram4653 once per tech tree.
So why can't you tech juggle all the time?
And use two slots for one research swapping every 30 days?
You can only apply 30 days of saved research to one tech.
Why you don't do it for every tech. It delays the next tech in favour of getting the first one earlier. You don't want to do that too often.
This seems marginally worth it if you are juggling tech and only get it slightly faster while also slowing down everything else in the process. Hey guys I got Fighter II a whole 3 months early but even when I switch over production lines it's not a instant change. Couple that with slowing down other things you may need it seems very gimmicky like for MP or a one dimensional country like the USSR that doesn't have to worry about the Navy as much.
The linked video in the description gives use cases. You can also see tech juggling being put to good use in the germany guide which speeds up the research to fit in industry research before the research boost.
Uh, are you like dumb or something? That would make you 3 months ahead in production of one of the most essential tools of the game ahead of the opponent, that means not only will you will produce 3 months worth of it ahead of everyone else you will be 3 months of production efficiency raising ahead of everyone else. This can result in a difference of thousands of fighters by 41. I swear to God you people don't understand the basic concept of snowballing.
Seems like a bunch of work for almost nothing
an important piece of equipment entering the production line 30 days earlier is not as insignigicant as you may think
Its particularly useful if you want to start a new tech before you get a boost to a tech in that category. Allows you to get that tech finished without having to deal that focus even more. Also useful for getting techs into production a little bit earlier and getting that production efficiency up.
