Ok so this may sound weird but every time I watch your videos, Becky, I feel like I’m a gardener and I’m not I feel like I’m part of it and like I’m actually gardening myself, I feel like I’m with you in the garden hands-on doing it myself I know sounds weird right but that’s how I feel so Becky you make it feel like we’re literally right there beside you gardening and cooking and baking. I absolutely love it and today I really need it as I’m stuck home off work with pneumonia, you’re truly a godsend

It sounds Blessed and like a vision, a heart picture directly from the Holy Spirit, our Beloved Helper, Teacher, Lord and God, who IS in you, Loves you and IS Loving you ALL the way sunshine. It sounds to me like He IS showing you what He made you for and what He has waiting for you. ALL things are possible for and with Him in you (and ALL of us) IJN Amen x
Sounds to me exactly like you and Becky are Loved and Blessed.
I also get where you are coming from Becky is definitely one of my favs, a Blessing and inspiration to me from our Beloved God. Becky, her man, his mum, her mum and dad are all a Blessing to be valued and cherished, JUST LIKE YOU!

pneumonia has absolutely NO right or permission to remain in your body (your body being the temple of the Holy Spirit IJN Amen)
Pneumonia be plucked up by the roots, out of Christine, be cast into the sea IJN Amen x
You are a Loved child of God’s sunshine accepted in The Beloved.
Thank you Christine for being a beautiful blessing and reminder for me to keep my heart where it belong.

For the ants, sprinkle cornmeal! They'll take it back, eat it, and die but it won't hurt the plants or useful bugs. It takes a little while to work, and he generous with the meal, but I've done it a few times. It does work!

I think you should HEAVILY consider just doing a cover crop over winter instead of the landscape fabric. You can use a nitrogen fixer such as legumes. It will vastly improve the soil's nitrogen over the winter.

My Dad used to buy some cheap beer to put in our garden in clean tuna fish cans(low, round cans). The slugs like it and drown. It is obviously a process, but we always grew organic(no pesticides)for our family. So it was a good solution for us and just a suggestion. 😊❤

Becky, I seem to remember that at your last house, your chickens had free run of your garden and they feasted on the bugs that now are eating your plants. Maybe you could let the girls go bug hunting. Just a thought. 😊

Along this line of thought if you can put a run or coop next to the garden or even a chicken run around the whole thing, it would be more fencing but they'd be doing more pest control through the year. You could even put a little door in the fence and let them in there in the winter time

Hello! It is possible that you brought the ants home from the nursery in your "leggy" pansies; that might explain why they're not in your own seedlings yet. Try to capture a few of them in a lidded glass jar and get them identified (so you know exactly what you are dealing with). [I had severe infestations of "ants" in my container garden one year and then couldn't bring in the containers to overwinter. I was devastated to lose everything. They might have been termites. Our wood deck had a few destroyed posts...] Thanks everyone for the cornmeal/grits/cinnamon anti-ant tips. Thanks, Becky, for the positive videos. You are so industrious! -Sally from MO

I absolutely love the app called seed to spoon. You get so much information for planting your garden for your particular area. What plant to have together and what plants that are considered enemies. Also frost dates and when to plant and harvest. This is my go to app! Also it’s free!

From what I understand, those roly poly (pillbugs) that you think could be eating your roots should actually be isopods, and those are very beneficial for your soil. They are some of the clean up crew that help with decomposition. They wouldn't eat the living roots, as they only eat things that are decomposing. You don't have to worry about them killing your living, healthy plants.

I'm in zone 5B and have tried growing strawberries several times in my green stalk planters and they do not survive the winter. I think you are in a higher zone so you will probably be ok. Just a warning to others in my climate - plant them in the ground. I love your videos, thank you for all the hard work you put into them.

If possible, they may survive if wheeled into a garage over winter. Just keep on eye on moisture level through winter.

I wonder how the petunias would look, if you planted one of each color; around one layer. Then rotate by one, on the next layer. And keep doing this all the way down the planter. It would almost be a swirl of color!

Our average last frost date here is southwestern Wisconsin is May 15th but after 54 years of gardening here, my annuals DO NOT go into the ground until the end of May. Late snow showers, cold, cold nights have happened. I’ve lost a lot of plants, time and money rushing things just because I was excited and the days seemed to be warming up for good. Lol❤❤❤❤

Just use sugarcane mulch in beds that aren't densely planted. Like around tomatoes, peppers, squash etc. You can even lightly sprinkle it over potato beds because potatoes will push up through it.

I rescued a tulip from the garden area of a bad terrible capitalist big box store and I brought it home and it got repotted and I talked to it and tell it how lovely it is and it is starting to send up new shoots and it's only been like two weeks and I was very excited that some thing that was basically set aside as if it wasno longer worthy, is going to have a whole life appreciated and loved and hopefully it'll end up being planted someplace where it'll pop up repeatedly!

I'm so glad to see you get rid of the fabric, totally cool to cover them in the off season, but I've felt like you were working around it the past two years. You can keep weeds surpressed by not leaving the beds bare in late fall, winter, and early spring.
